  1. What shop is it in? Sounds like a lot of money. If you're not already there try and get a price on the phone from Soichi and Joe.
  2. What are you guys paying for Brembos? I have a set of D2s on the front of my Stagea - cost about NZ$2k but I think there is a group buy on this site run by R31Nismoid.
  3. You could ring Consumer (not sure if you have to be a member) - or "Fair Go" for advice on your rights. For technical info see Soichi (ST Hytech) or Joe Kyle (Joe's Mechanical Services)- both Nissan experts
  4. Just go to your nearest radiator repair shop. Its not rocket science - they either hold water or they don't - I've never come across a bad one yet...If its bad enough you'll need a recore or possibly a new stocker.
  5. If you click on the link now you will see they have replied in the affirmative. Its easy to sign up to TradeMe to bid and you might be able to get a quote for freight from e.g. http://www.interparcel.com.au/ In your favour the NZ$ is trending downwards at the moment.
  6. Dunno - I'll ask but they will obviously be quite bulky.
  7. Here's a pair of fronts: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/tyres/auction-609688951.htm
  8. I went for option 1. I have GTR diffs partly for the LSD and also to get the GTR half shafts. Front diffs are regularly thrown way here when people stick RB26s in 2wd cars so the front diffs are easy to come by. I got a complete rear end (diff, axles brakes) for $500.
  9. Yes had the same problem and chamfering the leading edges (a sheet of sandpaper on a flat surface will do) fixed it for me.
  10. Have you got a chamfer on the lead edge of the pads?
  11. Not quite sure what you're planning but there are a few options: 1. get a pair of GTR diffs (non V spec) that will give you a mechanical LSD in the rear and virtually the same ratio as now - 4.1:1 instead of 4.08:1 2. Get a Nismo GT LSD for your rear diff (and a Quaife for your front diff if you are flush!).
  12. 285 x 20 rears - a set of decent tyres will probably cost more than my car!
  13. Will be 2wd but and rare as.
  14. Most obvious cause in case you haven't thought of it - check level in reservoir
  15. Just google "RB26 into Z31" and you'll get lots of hits including a u tube clip of Toshi's RB26DETT powered Z31
  16. That's why I say buy from a member here - there are a number of people on this forum whose car I would be happy to buy (if I were in Aus).
  17. 1. 235s on 9.5 rims will be illegal and unsatisfactory 2. Varrsteon are not a patch on TE37s - better to wait for a set of second hand TE37s than new Varrstoens
  18. Illegal in NZ undesirable anywhere.
  19. Stock throttle body will be fine - you may need to buy or make an adapter.
  20. Sorry didn't notice that you had the same tyres on different rims. Your rear tyres are illegal in NZ. Minimum for 9in is 235 ( I have 255s on mine) and minimum for 10in is 255 and ideally should be 265 or 275. If you want to keep the tyres get a set of 4 8in rims or else ditch the lot and start again.
  21. Scroll up to the pinned topics and click on "buyers' guide" My Stagea is awesome and where I am parts are plentiful and cheap. If you get a turbo and put your foot down it will suck gas like there's no tomorrow. Do a little research on this forum and have a look on ebay. You could save a lot of money by buying an already modified car from one of our members.
  22. If you have 10in at the rear and 9in at the front the the rolling circumference will be different - the 40 in the size is a ratio not a height and so they will have different heights.
  23. If you scroll down this listing you will find the diff oil for NZ$58 a litre - what prices have you had so far? I will email my contact @ Cockram Nissan to get an up to date price. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/oil-additives/auction-608121833.htm
  24. I buy the Nismo stuff from Nissan. Since its specified for the GTR you should be able to get it from your nearest Nissan dealer as well.
