no not nessassarily maybe if the turbo charger is new and is BB it will spool, stomp the gas pedal and you may get 5 psi or so. -
did you gap down your spark plugs? also what fuel are you running? sounds to me like the pistons or some area of the combustion chamber has got hot points in it, (areas with sharp edges that can cause pre ignition) run some av gas or methanol through with the fuel to help clean all the carbon out.

yeah, mine was leaning out on monday on the dyno, had to go from 770cc to 1000cc sards...now i need a fuel tanker to follow me around. but oh well i shouldnt complain. that has like no power till 3700..that would be good around town driving car.

Rb30 Hybrid Upgrade, All Dyno Results

A day in the life of a big power skyline 4am open shed coffee 4 15 another coffee 430 unblot 3582r and manifolds 5am more coffee 510 bolt on new manifold and T51R kai 6am plug in laptop make sure car runs 615 jack up trailer take two flat tyres to tyre shop 745 put wheels back on trailer load car 8am stop at air strip to pick up 80 litres of av gas, ring gary to confirm i have dyno for the day 820 stop at gas station fill up rodeo, 945 arrive at workshop 10am unload gts4 put front bar back on. 1015 quick road test to warm up car 1025 everyone climbs under car looking for oil leak, oil return line leaking 5 hose clamps au't ta do it 1040 strap car on dyno hands wont stop shaking need more coffee. 1050 first run, engine leaning out with new turbo injectors at full duty 18psi 11am change injectors from 740cc to 1000cc sard's 1130 2nd dyno run, alter injector pulse and check a/fr's temp oil pressure fuel pressure all ok injectors at 54% duty 1150 3rd go, car starts breaking traction at 21 psi 3rd gear, four of us sit in the boot with one on each door sill...power 690 @ all four but nowhere near what i want. 1215 have lunch and sit down chat about the issue of traction and non eventful lower than expected run 1pm gary try's different approch tinkering with timing and loading up the fuel working his magic with the hks f con pro. manifold glows white hot engine takes on whole new angry engine note, everybody grins with expectation. 1440 5th dyno run engine pulls hard the shrill whine of the t51 filling the workshop @ 27psi, smoke starts pouring of the back tyres, everyone piles onto the car, the revs drop and then start to climb again 650,680, 710, 750, 780, 800, 815, 840, tyres start spinning again, gary drops his tools and jumps on the back while craig looks accross at me hanging out the passengers door ,860 870 881 poof! gasket blows, craig buttons off but we all grin, gary comes up to me pulls the ear muffs off and says not bad for a bits'a..... im happy the screen blinking at 881.77 and 775.01 consecutivley -

your R33 head will be fine you will find here on the forums a article i wrote on how to go about doing the head conversion with pictures provided in the post below by another member. . trust me it is worth doing with the 33 head. normal head gasket is fine unless your going moster boost link to article http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...30-t220112.html

yep, ever have to choose a CAS you want the mitzi one with the rubber gromet in the center as these can be repaired.

z32 afm dude, you ll need one ideally to go with the power fc anyway.

this would have to be the shortest plumb back in the world 2 inches from recirc valve back to inlet pipe grab a piece of 5 ml plate, a drill and die grinder some gasket glue and go hard.

the best suspension for drag racing is stock suspension... unless ofcourse you wanna go r.i.p.s styles. but for the average joe skyline owner stock suspension nice n spongy, tyres the more wall the better... why you might ask, running 16, s 225 50's deflat them to 16 psi...then shove some 18's on your ca and see how your launch goes.... compare them, then you will understand why a 15 ich drag slick will get more grip than your bling bling 18 inch enkie light wieght circut rims -

bearing, whether its a hub bearing or the driveshaft carrier bearing it's a bearing... -
the (AAC) auxilary air control valve controls engine idle for the engine when it is under load....for example, when you turn the lights on, or the window wipers, or turn the steering wheel, it compensates the engine load by increasing the air flow into the plenum chamber. the (ICV) or idle control valve is the valve used when the car is warming up, it opens a valve letting the engine idle at anywhere up to 1500 to 2000 rpm once the ecu coolant temp circut is up to temperature it sends a signal back to the ecu telling it to reduce the amount of fuel, correct timing , and shut the valve off back to the base setting idle the the adjustment screw is set to...idealy should be 950+/- 50 rpm. you will still need the "air regulator" or ICV but can do away with the AAC valve .... you can do away with both of them if you have a restrictor into the bypass pipe , i did it , it took a little bit of experimenting to get the right size restrictor but got it idling at the lowest i could with the hks cams with out stalling, only problem is every one asks me whats wrong with my car when the hear the lumpy idle.

hmmm 27 psi? try 401 @ 8psi 4 wd too 210 of that made even before the turbo is on boost. rb30/26det garrett 3582 770cc bosch injectors, hks f con pro v, 3 inch stright pipe exhaust hks cams, fully forged bottom end , etc etc
