  1. The hardline from the master, bent it to meet the bracket of the hose was easy and not brittle at all. Worst case if you break can always get another one from the wreckers.
  2. Yes u need positive camber to fix it
  3. Sorry lol its in the title. But basically you need to remove timing belt and remove cams then you can take the lifter out with a magnet. Then disassemble each one use some carby cleaner and a brush scrub all the parts in it then let it soke in the cleaner for a few hours and then clean dry assemble.
  4. What engine is it 25 or 30?
  5. Ended ip doing it on the weekend , couldnt be bothered going to get a custom line so just bent line. There suprisingle easy to bend and flexible. Got it slldone and bled and no worries feels so much better now
  6. Depends on your power level if the cars relativly stock you wont really feel much differce but its also nice to finish of the exhuast. If your cars not to modded juat gor for ceramic catco hiflow cat or something.
  7. Do you have a return style cooler? When this happened to me my returning pipe on the cooler hit something and it ripped the silicon joiner on the cooler so check them if you have one.
  8. Ok time for an update. Just got back from another drift practice day on the weekend. It was a great day perfect weather and the the car ran well no issues besdies frying to many tyres lol. I brought 6 brand new tyres with me which each pair lasted me probably about 1-1.5 sessions so had to go and buy another pair of federal 595 rsr's! just to fry up in one session lol what a waste. I felt my drifting went up antoher level this time as I felt confident and was also pushing it harder to make the most of this last chance to get some practice in before drift attack at calder park in 3 weeks which will be my first comp. One of my sideskrits decided to fly off ahah so guess will be looking at the kit of the car and deciding on what to do with it. Here is a video and a few pics. <iframe width="1280" height="720" src="http://www.youtube.c...bed/P9QJjLz1uWw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> So got back saturday and sunday morning it was time to get the car back up on stands and start doing what I have to do before drift attack. First on the agenda was to replace the master and slave cylinder with a new one and bleed them as I suspected the current ones on there way out as sometimes the clutch goes down and gets spongy and Ive also had to wind the adjusting rod all the way out. I read about all the people having dramas bleeding there clutches due mainly to that stupid dampner valve thing that creates a massive loop line between slave and master so I got rid of that then re bent the master line in order to make it meet with the slave line. Once had them both installed and checked for leaks started the bleeding the process starting with the master and then the slave and after maybe 20min that was done and I had tension in the pedal and that was done and off the list. Next while the car was on stands did my usual suspension check underneath and also to check if anything is broken or leaking after that called it a day. Had a RDO from work today so decided to make it a productive day on the car and got out there early to start on the body work. I decided to ditch the sideskrits and my 400r rear bar in exchange for standard items as they were not broken and I didnt mind the clean stock kit look. After a few hours of having to remove all that silkaflex on the skirts and all the tyre delam all over the car it was ready for a good wash. Good time to test out my new pressure washer to. So here are some pics of the new look of the car, it needs to be slammed at the back abit more now since theres no kit and chuck some 25mm wheel spacers on the rear but ill do that before I do another allignment. Just leaves me with fixing up my old stock front bar. PS can anybody tell me why the youtube embed links dont work?
  9. I think so off the top of my head but anyhow it will only fit on one way so b/w whichever two marks line up for the cam is the right way.
  10. Im wanting to remove that clutch dampener or whatever it is juat wanting to know what some of you guys have done to do it. I was thinking of getting a hose made up like the slave has and hooking it in between the slave and master. Any negatives if i use a hose to connect theminstead of a hardline? Ive seen some people take the path of pending the hardline but im not really wanting to do that. Thoights?
  11. If the cars been lowered youll need some adj camber arms to fix it up.
  12. Just measure out from your wheel to where you want it to be. Id say maybe 20mm would be nice.
  13. Great work should get some good sliding with it.
  14. Crazy power love the colour nothing beats blue skyline.
  15. I got 24 containers labelled each one and cleaned one at a time. Fill up the lifter about 2/3 with oil when doing it. Easy job once do one and know the trick.
  16. Yes exhuast leak will effect performance
  17. It would be kind of pointless opening up head and only replacing the one thats broken cause you dont know how lOng the rest will last. Either change em all or rebuild and clean them all as would be my option since lifters are a rip.
  18. Not a good idea play around with the boost controller once its been set i would only trust it being set on a dyno with WOT. Take it to your tuner will be under an hours work and tell him what settings you want.
  19. Maybe ,maybe not hard to say without seeing for yourself but whenyou described fromturbo area it would point towards exhuast leak but then you say it does it whwn cold that points to lifters. Try feel around turbo area for leaks.
  20. Thanks mate thats a great write up!
  21. Ok, so should I still aim for 9:1? If you I did go with the 8.5:1 pistons how much would I have to deck the block and head if im running 1.2mm gasket to get it to 9:1? Just dont get why Im reading 8.5:1 is bad and most the forged pistons off the shelf are in that compression.
  22. Yeah i know you can go custom but alot of people are just using off the shelf pistons like cp etc and just wondering are they all just going 8.5 or what?
  23. Im looking at piston oprions for my rb25 and saw that it was mentioned to keep cr at 9 but allthe cp wiseco pistons ive seen so far are 8.5 which pistons suit for a 9 cr?
