  1. If you want some drift events there are practice days on most mOnths at winton. Go to vicdrift.com for info.
  2. It was just scrap hot water system case that i cut up and took what i need. Yeah i didnt want a full box since it doesnt have to be fully sealed to pass scruiteneering and its easier to take apart.
  3. Yeah as said above
  4. Is it worth adding any nulon g70 aswell or shockproof is good to go on its own?
  5. After reading the numerous posts here still cannot decide on which to use since opionions are so mixed. It is for a r33gtst drift track car. Condition of box i would say is pretty good since only sometimes does very light gear crunch 1 to 2 when cold. So which do i choose? And while on topic is it 2.8 or 3.8 l capacity?
  6. LMAOOOO at flutter turning into science now. He must of watched those muztek youtube videos where they dedicate themselves to trying different type of intake pipe material and doing a review of what sound it makes so now he wants 2 take it a step further. Its simple if you want the noise just block of you bov and be done with it and go concentrate on experimenting something that will be beneficial to your car. There are plenty cars that run sub 10s with blocked bovs so I dont think you should worry about your loss of response if your set on the noise. Im not having a go at you just stating the way I see it, I dont run a bov myself but I dont really care about the noise just cant be bothered with having a bov and the extra lines and another problem that can go wrong but saying that my car is a track car so police is not an issue.
  7. To answer your question yes it is a bit of work and if your not doing it yourself wont be cheap, basically youll have to do your 100k service aswell since it has to come off to get your cam off.
  8. Hi, Just recently I installed a fuel setup consisting of a surge tank and I needed to make up and enclosure to cover it so I got to work on my project. I ended up making a enclosure for it out of sheetmetal which has a detachable front panel so you can view or if need work on the fuel system or you can remove the whole enclosure with a few screws. The panels have stiffners on them as to help keep it rigid and overall it is very solid. If people are interested or might want a custom sheetmetal enclosure made up for a fuel system or whatever it may be I wouldn't mind fabricating something for you. Below are the pics of fuel system , the enclosure without the lid and the full finished product. Feel free to give some input or any questions you have.
  9. Its prob got dirt chunks of dirt stuck in the thread happened to one of mine took it out, compressed the spring to loosen the tension and then worked on undoing it and blowing out all the dirt with a compressor eventually did the trick.
  10. If its for drift its basically expermenting for what suits you some guys run no sways at all some stock and mix stok with aftermarket. But generally people upgrade to the 24 mm for front And 20 mm for rear. Whitline ones are really good

  13. nice vids geraus you going to the practice day next weekend?
  14. Why dont hard race have front camber arms?
  15. The only real difference with the cheaper cam gears can be the bolt quality so its up to you if you want to buy cheaper one and change the bolts or stick with the better brands. Also I would avoid the designs with only 3 bolts like HKS, I went wit tomei and no problems.
  16. Did you put the shims that go between the housing and diff centre same as before, sounds like the ring gear is abit off making the crunches your describing.
  17. Not running it on ethanol anymore?
  18. Ive got a welded diff but there no clunks and that, it just skips and chirps esspacially when reversing on full lock.
  19. Im also finding it hard to believe standard exhust 96 db as that is hell of alot louder than 90 ,96 would b about what most aftermarket jap exhuusts are. I would think that your mufflers in the system have probably given up.
  20. Just wanting to know what the quality of these spacers are from whoever thats used them.
  21. The stato is so far behind its not even funny comparing them, you should win by even launching in 2nd lol
  22. Great work very interesting project youve taken with what seems to have payed off. When you say glen waverley caltex are you talking abOut the One on springvale rd oposite the glen?
  23. End of the day whenever you decide to mod the car and start pushing high 200,s plus on stock engine we all do it knowing all well that theres a chance that the engine might die sooner than expected but theres to many variables how you drive , how much you drive it, and of course the tune. Of course a car tuned at 350kw which is a daily and never sees all that power being put down will last longer then someone at 280kw thats smashing track work constantly. But atm it seems like the median of what people go on stock is 300kw and also consider running on e85 for abit more security.
