  1. They dont retain the VCT though do they? cant remember exactly but I dont think they do.
  2. Even if they do go back to a power to weight itll probably be more tight than 125kw/t like before so as you still cant drive turbo skylines and such cars.
  3. You might aswell go a surge tank setup with a 044 itll cost you pretty much the same price as just buying the nismo on its own and atleast now youll know you wont have fuel problems if you track the car.

The problem with informing the police is out of the ones out you might get some that are happy to let it go unless something happens then you get the real dickhead cops that will take this as an easy oportunity to get you guys as bad as they can. Way I would see it is better off not telling them and making it harder for them to find you rather than giving them the heads up on where you are going to be so you are sitting ducks if there in a bad mood, which given its a public holiday they love to go harder.
  5. Ive had full EPAs twice and they ripped out the kick panels checked ecu checked injectors and everything so its really a 30 dollar gamble so if you fail you have to pay 30 again to get it retested.

While were on the issue Im about to wire up my external 044 for the surge tank in my r33 and I plan to splice into the standard fuel pump trigger and just in regards to the ground used on the relay should I just ground it separate to the chassis or splice into the standard ground used by the fuel pump wiring. R33s dont have the negative trigger do they? so I would be right in saying I can ground it direct to the chasis and just use the positive trigger to the relay?

  8. As everyone has said above you wasted your money and it will end up costing you more than a JJR cooler or maybe even a blitz return flow as they go for around 800 mark which is not to bad now. You will have to cut the front bar it is very unlikely to fit without cutting as the bars are made to be close to fans and in regards to you worring about the quality Just jap ones are not shity like other chinese cores they are half decent im running 307kw with one no problem back to back runs.

Just putting a fuel pump doesnt increase the power in the car it just enables it to run more power just like a front mount,you will however make more power when you combine it with such mods as turbo injectors where you require more fuel to be pumped out so not sure what your talking about there. The problem does sound strange as it is missing then working fine, would have thought it was surging from maybe mounting the pump to high but your saying it in low revs and then its fine.
  10. Yeah got some prices from speed flow today for fittings and hoses 9.90 for normal rubber ones and 37 for teflon braid then you got the fittings to worry about. I think Im going to try with the rubber hoses and see how it goes. By the way are the standard fuel lines 3/8 or 5/16 Ive forgoten since the last time I checked?

Try lowering your spark plug gap if it already isnt , should be running bcpr7es at 0.8, also did this probelm start out of nowhere or wasnt when turbo got put on at and boosted to 15psi dont know if r32 ecus are like r33 stock ones and hit r and r when boosting over 10-11 and if all this isnt the problem maybe check your coil pack harness and regards to fuel if it isnt tuned with a ecu or if it is tuned then its a poor tune to be getting economy like that.
  12. yeah 0.63 and as I told you before aswell im dropping boost aswell from 17 to 14 and still get that power so you will make it no worries, sure youll make more if you hold boost but yeah thats another problem to be solved.
  13. Aparently the teflon braid is not meant to but some people have said yes and no, guess ti depends on the car and where exactly the lines are run. Im not to concerned about the smell since e85 doesnt sell to bad and I dont expect to be overly bad since it is in the boot and not a hatch like say a 180sx or something.

  15. How do people get around ataching braided lines onto the stock fuel tank barb fittings from what I can see you can only use AN fittings on the braided lines ?
  16. 260 to 307 when I converted to e85 plus tomei cams on less boost and im still using air box and jjr return flow cooler so you shouldnt have a probelm I would expect you to make around 310-315kw mark
  17. Yeah thats what I was thinking of doing just extending the return and feed hose with a straight peice connector rather than replacing with a whole new hose all the way from under the car.

Just getting ready to start planning the installation of my surge tank with a single 044 and have seen some people run a fuel filter in between the surge and fuel pump and wondering is it necessary to do this or what the purpose is since you still have a fuel filter in the engine bay ? Also in regards to the standard barb fittings that the standard fuel tank has are there speedflow fittings that are 90degree that fit onto those barb fittings so you can stick your new hoses onto? And the final question is how do some of you guys run your hosing this is for a r33 with tank in the boot by the way. Do you the feed and return from engine underneath the car and stright into your surge tank from a new hole or do you just make a hole in the standard fuel tank cover and run all the liines from there down to where ever you surge tank is in the boot?
  19. Just wondering whats the rules and regulations about having a surge tank, are they illegal full stop no matter where they are? I want to put mine where the spare tyre compartment is and probably replace that wood cover with a sheet metal cover which I will bolt there to cover it to try keep the smell down and also safety since the battery is in the boot. And also what are there restrictions for track scruitenering is it only not allowed to be in your boot if you have a hatch without a separete boot like on 180s?
  20. Just wondering does anyone stock these ball joints to replace as you cant buy them from nissan. Ive found ones for r31 are they the same for r33?

Dont get me wrong Im not against it I run e85 and im the last person that gives a shit about consumption as I constantly drive on boost getting prob 250km to a tank which I dont complain about, what im saying is that the people that are saying its cheaper then petrol thats its not quite right just cause its 20cents cheaper a litre but as I said I went on it for the gains of power and safer on the engine as you said
  22. Yeah theres no reason to get happy about the price cause it will probably work out to cost more or just even if your lucky. Needs to be 80-90 cents to be worth it cost wise.

Just took off one of the rear lower control arms since I bent it 2 replace now was thinking of doing all the lower and upper control arm bushes while im there any recomendations on which ones to go for whiteline, superpro, nonthalene or do they sell a kit and what are the prices im looking at ?
  25. I'll open it up to check again but yeah still not convinced about it being postion but it does seem odd to me aswell how its doing at half a tank also when it was on petrol it did it at about 1/4 now since e85 its doing it at half.
