  1. Well the nismo is direct replacement so you cant really go wrong when sticking it in just make sure its on the bracket and slid down all the way. normally driving the car it will not starve petrol til the last drop so I dont think the height is the problem . At the moment its street rego'd still which I do drive around sometimes but yeah I would like it in the boot. http://vpw.com.au/productgroup.asp?CatID=6&SubCatID=784&priorCatID=784&PrdGrpID=5283 I was thinking something like this.
  2. I use my r33 for drifting and what ive found for a while is when its on half a tank or lower on hair pin turns the car surges mid drift so im thinking its time for a surge tank. I got a nismo drop in fuel pump in at the moment and was thinking of using a 044 for the surge tank any suggestions on surge tank setup ideas or recomend anywhere I can buy the whole kit having to buy everthing separetly. Also car is on e85 and 307kw
  3. the only drawback it lowers your fuel consumption by about 30percent which means youll probably need a few jerry tanks of the stuff with you when heading up to a trackday and thats all I can think of. After going on it ill never go back.
  4. Good work on finding out the probelm and sticking through it and eventually getting it all right. This is probably going to be my next thing to do if my bottom end lets go in my 25 as I have just recently rebuilt my head so the price should be quite good just building a 30 bottom.
  5. Are you sure the cas is not rubbing on the cam gear because maybe the timing cover is a different thickness, because I remember when I forgot to put spacers when I ran no timing cover and it made a noise like that and not long til the cas died. Because there is no way you can put it in the wrong way it only goes one way as other said and as you said it only come on when you tighten it then Im guessing its touching.

  7. Im running caltex e85 no problems, got a 40kw up top and yeah in regards to the variance in ethanol content if you get it tuned to leave some margin for when the mixtures change you wont have a problem. I got it done at status and trent was confident theres no problem if the tune accounts for the change.
  8. Or just line up the bottom ones and bolt them down then make antoher peice that connects from the cooler braket to the hole in the bonnet latch.
  9. +1 for in particular on a rb25 with a 3076 compared to a gtx3076 really need to see if there are benifets after talking about them for a while.
  10. Nissan charge twice as much I picked up my studs from just jap think were like 2.50 each and nissan wanted 5.50
  11. hrmm really, thats good that the skyline ones can be removed like that, the falcon one I had to take of the dash well atleast now thats abit of a relief if mine lets go in the skyline.
  12. Basically you got to remove the whole front dash so you can get access to remove the pedal box. What I did was repair my existing one gave it to my dad since hes a welder and welded it up properly as appose to how it only has a few spot welds or you can get another one give it to a welder to strengthen up if your worried about it breaking again.
  13. Definitely sounds like a pedal box to me, Happened to me in my falcon had to drive it home in first 2 gears lol
  14. If its your first offence under 10km over you will get out of it just as other said admit you made mistake say was split second of carelessness and you have learnt from it blah blah and if you could please have a warning. I did it on my first offense on my Ps got off.
  15. +1 for tomei I opted to go for it over the stock and no probelms so far, didnt machine the head or block but they were within the tolerance that the manual states. But yeah Tomei if you can afford the extra coin or if really struggling then go stock.
  16. Once again gcg hiflow have been reputable and have given good results so no way I would choose kkr over it.
  17. atr43 is alot better overall then the KKR turbos in my opinion. As seen in the hypergear thread there are several results and people that go with it are very happy as if on a budget you cant beat it. On the other hand all you hear about people using KKR is poor performance and having issues with them. Also youll get alot more support with a hypergear turbo as stao is more than happy to help hes customers.
  18. Yeah I know this, but what Im saying is when there old and starting to give out and you boost it up you have problems, ofcourse if you put the boost down or lower the spark gap or drive in hotter weather it will improve but I guess I should of phrased it better when I said fried them as I meant the extra boost wont work with them since there worn.
  19. Well youve got to remove the timing belt and everthing else before that and also the idler and tensioner bearing are in the way so they have to come off aswell. Taking off the pump and installing is easy just gota make sure the old sealant is all scraped off and clean before puting a new pump and new sealant.
  20. When the coilpacks are 14years old and you run higher than standard boost 16-18psi like I did it is enough to fry them, If they arent old that is a different story.
  21. Your talking about missfiring its your coil packs, what happened if probably is you installed the boost controller and it was faulty and it boosted to high so it fried you stock coil packs same thing happened to me.
  22. Same things happened to me because I had my old tune which had more timing in it and soon as put this exhuast it was pinging because the restrictor didnt like the extra timing so i lost about 15kw but yeah took it out and then could add in the timing had before back to normal power.
  23. Yeah itll flow but if you take the restrictor out youll gain 15-20kw from being able to add in more timing.
  24. Or bcpre6es up to 12psi and 7's if you over 12psi is what I found with mine.
  25. +1 for them being shit, and yeah what other post said cut the line going to the actuaor and cooler pipe and stick it in between.
