  1. Am I the only one going to be flying the SAU flag? Are others driving up for it Sat morning or does anyone know the addy for Morwell?
  2. I don't have this experience myself but I have it on good authority that the rb20/rb26 in the 32 has a heap of coolant hoses underneath the plenum....only way to get to them is to take the plenum off. Might be albe to get a better idea if you take it to a mechanic and raise it on a hoist....
  3. Done
  4. Man this whole things messed up Sorry to hear mate and I hope it all gets sorted asap... Just a thought but do you do much internet banking??? Maybe someones got a key logger running or something?
  5. It was very sad to hear this news yesterday RIP to Colin and his son and the others in the helicopter....
  6. This has been a great popcorn thread The GTR is a great drivers car for sure and Nissan did a great job building it but at the end of the day it is just a Nissan/Datsun and these days the tech is getting a little old. A gtr can be quicker than an f40, f50 and many other big name cars but at the end of the day which would you rather drive? Oh and btw the Saleen according to the rules about supercars having a bespoke chassis shouldn't be a supercar as I believe every model starts with a corvette chassis.
  7. Happy B'day mate :sorcerer:
  8. I had my pride and joy transported btw syd and melb and then melb to perth. I was recommended to go thru TNT via an enclosed (covered) service and the car was very well looked after. I don't have the paperwork here but I think it was around the 600 mark. Whoever you use make sure to take lots of pics before its loaaded on the truck that way you have proof should damage appear after transport. Let me know if you are interested and I can give you contact details of someone who looked after me at TNT.
  9. Leave is confirmed by boss at work and at home.... I'm in
  10. Pete, First choice would be the Works followed by the 34 GTR rims. Should've done a poll mate
  11. Evo magazine in the UK also rated the GTR high in their list of top drivers cars beating a lot of big name cars. I'd respect their opinion over some random show on pay tv
  12. Nasty ...hope all involved are ok.
  13. Couple of q's Snowie....are you doing both days? Which of the days is better and do they allow timing on the Sat (incar laptimers)?
  14. Holy crap that is one hell of a punch through the rim Sorry to hear mate and hope it doesn't keep the beast off the road for too long....
  15. Top effort Guys and Gals....Congrats Although you all looked a little worse for wear after some hard days and nights you looked like you were having a ball on Sunday
  16. I think those prices are good for what you get....however whether or not nissan struggles to sell them remains to be seen. Yes there are a lot more people earning bigger bucks these days but Nissan will have to be able to sway them from brands such as porsche etc. My understanding about the differences between the two models does justify the prices difference. Unconfirmed of course but I hear rumours of around about 100ps/hp power hike....lightweight interior and possibly cage.....bigger brakes/wheels and other enhancements. As for what it will do to the pricing of 34/33/32 gtrs it will be interesting....IMHO I think the 34 price will drop but 33/32's won't be affected as much.
  17. Happy birthday champ :sorcerer:
  18. Best of luck to all those competing and I'll be there at Sandown on Sun to say Hi

  21. Damn shame I missed out on this but it will teach me to be closer to a fax machine on entry day I'm sure everyone will have a ball and hope man and machine get through the day (and night!!) unscathed
  22. Lol don't forget the mismatched engine sounds compared to what is actually happening
  23. Happy Birthday Guys Oh and Al you'll be lucky if you can remember this weekend come Monday
  24. As others have said get the same sized rim/tyre combo front and rear as you will want to rotate the wheels front to rear and vice-versa. Also I don't know what djr was talking about as I just mange to squeeze 4 18" by 10.5" rims with RE55's on them along the backseat of my GTR...it is a tight squeeze though!
