  1. It's ridiculous if you're thinking about buying a roll cage just to fit a harness. There are countless places you can mount your shoulder straps without a roll cage. Read the CAMS manual and make sure the straps are within the recommended range of angle and you will be fine.
  2. Are you asking me? I'm not the OP.. I'm happy for my cage to restrict passengers
  3. It would be possible, but it wouldn't be CAMS approved, even minimum CAMS spec requires a cross bar (in main hoop is most common) but either way it's going to restrict passengers.
  4. Just pack your stock mount full of sikaflex.
  5. Similar to me, and that tank of petrol was used getting to the track
  6. Thanks for the help guys, I thought that might be the case. Time to keep looking!
  7. Hey guys, I have a question about a second hand gearbox I am looking at buying. It's a Z32 TT 300ZX gearbox, internally it is largely the same as RB25DET/R32 GTR, different gear ratios and synchros but very similar. The gearbox is out of the car, the input shaft spins freely in each gear, doesn't feel like there's any crunching or restrictions. The issue I'm worried about is with second gear, when I spin the input shaft while it's in second, the output shaft doesn't spin immediately. (Output shaft = rear shaft which the slip yolk of the tail shaft slips into, unsure if it's the right terminology or not). All the other gears were immediate, if I turned the input shaft the output shaft would turn too, but second gear has some play, I can turn the input shaft a tiny bit back/forth without the output shaft moving, it seems like there is a little bit of slack before the teeth mesh or something. Can anyone suggest if this might be a walk away issue or something which could be OK? Or any other way to check, without removing the bellhousing? The owner of the gearbox has a scanned copy of a receipt suggesting the gearbox had some seals/bearings replaced in 2009, doesn't mean an awful lot now though. Thanks very much.
  8. I measured some diff centres at my friend's house, Non-ABS is 10mm shorter than ABS, not including different rear covers. I measured the front off the diff only, to the middle where the rear cover bolts on.
  9. Has anyone used QFM Comp 9? I need pads front/rear for my car (R33 GTS-T calipers). I was looking at PMu HC+ front and the D1 Spec rear, but it's more money than I would like to spend. Car is my daily, but with drift days and fun circuit days.
  10. Hi, What was replaced exactly? And is the receipt available? Thanks.
  11. Hey guys, Would anyone know the difference in length between ABS and non-ABS diff housings? For R33. I know the non-ABS is shorter but I can't seem to find by how much, the best measurement I've found so far is 'about an inch' - would anyone know the exact measurement? Alternatively, does anyone have a non-ABS diff spare they could measure? I have an ABS diff in my car so could measure that length. Cheers.
  12. Would anything like this be OK? Or not worth the bother? Not cheap by any means. I just need to paint half the concrete floor of a double garage. http://www.bunnings.com.au/berger-jet-dry-10l-heavy-duty-evening-stone-paving-paint_p1410009
  13. Just buy 4 stud wheels, there are limitless options.
  14. I'm located in Melbourne but I will be in Sydney around December 3rd, in case anyone has anything. Just to clarify, looking to buy push-type gearboxes or just a bellhousing from the following models: R33 GTS-T R32 GTR Z32 300zx (NA or TT) VL Turbo Cheers.
  15. Bump! Happy to even buy just parts, really after bellhousings. Cheers.
  16. The rear fitment will be 1mm weaker. Front will be 11mm more aggressive. Use a rule or tape measure, and measure
  17. You can buy them new/delivered for that money.
  18. Hey guys, I've moved to Victoria very recently and I'm not too sure where everything is yet. Can anyone recommend a good place to find an M12x1.75 thread repair kit? I had a look around Lillydale/Chirnside area and couldn't find much beside SCA and Repco both of which had none. Preferably out near Lilydale/Croydon/Nunawading sort of areas but I'm happy to travel - good way to get to know the place. Cheers
  19. Hey guys, I'm looking to buy any blown or cheap gearboxes, from R33 GTS-T, R32 GTR or R33 GTR. Possibly, R34 GT-T, if they still run the push type clutch - all must be push-type. (Even Z32 TT or N/A gearbox, in case anyone has one) Please send me a PM if you have any of the above gearboxes, thanks!
  20. Crap, is what they are Just send the guy a message on car sales and ask.
