  1. Interesting, what kind of track day was it? My pads got hot before I cooked my fluid, this was on a 36km tarmac rally stage using Nulon Extreme brake fluid Dry 280deg/Wet 183deg http://www.nulon.com.au/products/Brake_Fluids/Xtreme_Performance_Brake_Fluid_-_Super_DOT_4/#.VI4irSuUd8E I'm sure I didn't genuinely cook the pads as they are rated to 700 degrees and rotors are supposed to glow at 500 degrees or something, but maybe it was heat soak or something else. My pedal feel stayed good but it just wasn't pulling up
  2. Afaik these have been put on hold because not enough people were interested. If anyone is interested it's usually best to email Greg at gktech to be put on the waiting list
  3. I've used the A1RM for a few months now, good street/track pad, work well from cold and takes a lot of heat to make them fade.
  4. These seem OK too, plus open ended so will work with long studs http://www.gktech.com/index.php/open-ended-m12x1-25-lug-nuts.html
  5. Any Skyline will be a great car to learn to drift in. R33's are good, relatively cheap to buy and strong engine/gearbox/brakes etc. Drum handbrake is a bonus too. Realistically though, any Skyline will be fine for drifting mate, doesn't have to be anything special.
  6. This weekend is anyone driving or spectating?

    Stolen Motorbike

There's been so many cars/bikes going missing lately, I keep seeing posts on Facebook about it Very sorry mate I'll keep an eye / ear out.
  8. Yeah I absolutely agree, I was just posting up price for future reference of the thread
  9. Thanks, I booked the car in for an alignment at Traction Tyres They said it would cost between $55 and $110 depending on how much time it would take, sounds pretty good to me.
  10. Bit late but you need CAMS specification half cage as a minimum for any Vicdrift event at all, you won't be allowed on the track without one, no matter what the event is or what class you are in.
  11. It depends on your wheel nuts, you will need open ended nuts to let the stud poke through Not internal hex/spline drive nuts either
  12. Bumping this thread instead of starting a new one Would Traction Tyres still be a good option for an alignment? My car is a bit difficult to set up as it has stock toe arms rear but adjustable camber arms Front has camber adjustment but not caster Cheers.
  13. Is anyone entering the Snowy River Sprint? http://www.australiantarmacrally.com/snowy_river_sprint.html
  14. Keen to hear your thoughts on those tyres after a few runs mate
  15. Yes there is, Otomoto in Sydney http://www.otomoto.com.au/ Very helpful too.
  16. To be expected when the whole set is $1299 RRP. Having said that, I still recommend them and rate them highly, I've used them in two of my cars with good success.
  17. You can buy whole new dampers for HSD coilovers, from memory most are around the $160ea mark.
  18. Did you check the price in AUD + shipping?
  19. Check out GKTech, they are producing some fronts soon I think.
  20. I'd recommend 50mm spacers, nothing less.
  21. I'm buying a set of tyres for daily use + I will use them for fun driving until I buy a set of semi slicks Tossing up between Toyo Proxes T1 Sport or Michelin Pilot Sport 3 in 235/45r17 Toyo = $620/set fitted Michelin = $628/set fitted Call it same price. What to choose?! Toyo Michelin
  22. Has anyone used Winmax pads before? If so, which model and how did they go? I changed my pads to A1RM a couple of months ago, today was my first drive through some mountains since installing the new pads and they pretty much gave up. I drove for about 20 minutes hard (bias toward uphill) then 15 minute break, then the pads faded within the first 5-10 minutes after the break (bias toward downhill).
