I use Just Cars - just under $1k per annum for rating 5 adult driver, agreed value of around $17,500.

All V35s are factory non-turbo, but to my knowledge they have too high kw/tonne to be legal for use for P-platers (if that's what you are). So the answer is no, but each state is different as to its regulations and permitted/not permitted P-plate cars. I am pretty sure if you dig around on the net you will find a list of P-plate banned cars - as far as the law sees it, V35s are the same as a 350Z essentially.

good alloy v35 radiator recommendation
Nightcrawler replied to mutex's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Agreed, the Koyo is good - that is what I got after my alloy rad split. And yes, the thicker radiators require a fair bit of mucking around to fit including cutting the fan shroud and mounting holes to make it fit. -

DON'T buy a cheap Chinese Ebay one. They work well for a while, but WILL split somewhere eventually and leak, then need to be replaced. Personal lesson learned. Pay the extra cheddar and buy a brand name one, or buy an oem replacement. -
DEFINITELY change over your brake fluid to Dot 6 if you haven't already - it will be the first thing to let you down.

Installing A Turbo In A Non Turbo Vehicle.
Nightcrawler replied to Lovissia's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
It is a significantly complex exercise. Budget at the very minimum $10k, but in reality to pay a workshop to do it properly allow for $20k. The real answer is, don't do it. Buy a faster car.- 1 reply

V36 370gt Firmware Update
Nightcrawler replied to HIKAR1's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
As far as I am aware there is not a single Nissan stealership in Australia that does not ABSOLUTELY HATE grey imports, and as far as I am aware they won't touch them with a 100 foot pole. Certainly all of the Nissan dealerships in Adelaide won't touch a V35. -
V35 Fuel Tank Overflows
Nightcrawler replied to brentos_mentos's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Are you sure they fitted a fuel filler restrictor at compliance? Sounds like they didn't. -
Completely agreed. For the last 2 years of the SAU:SA club we organised about 10 events and had literally only a handful of people turn up to each event. Hence the club disappeared. You are only as strong as your member base.

But have you seen the quality of cars on those big cruises? Do you really want to cruise with P-plater 18 years olds in their beat-up EA falcons and 1980's Corollas? I can't imagine anything worse. Yes small meet-ups are much better, except it is hard to hang out in a carpark as it attracts instant cop attention. The V35 guys are actually having a small meet-up this Saturday night, but it for VQs only sorry

Should I Still Come To The Meet On Sat?
Nightcrawler replied to fishinmilan's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ouch that sucks. My worst nightmare. Come anyway mate - it's all good - it will be good as new again in no time, we understand that. -
The BIG problem with cruises, is that the person that organises the cruise is responsible for ALL the activities that happen on that cruise - even by randoms. The cops have come down very hard on cruises, hence why you rarely see them anymore.
-
^^ I agree. And the biggest issue with SAU forums is that EVERY reasonable question to be asked, has been asked and answered. As a library resource SAU is unbeatable, but as for day to day organising cruises/meets etc, then FB is far more useful and has considerably more reach.

Tyre Pressure Sensors
Nightcrawler replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Wow, nice work there Justin - looks like you have really done your homework! Also looks like when I buy a V36 in the near future I need to take it to you and get a conversion package done on it -
Tyre Pressure Sensors
Nightcrawler replied to Justin370GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
No idea about the TPS. But fyi I think it is a HUGE leap to assume that a Q60 cluster will be a plug and play affair on a V36 - the wiring differences between USDM G35s and JDM V35s were pretty significant in some areas - I would imagine the V36 vs Q60 would be the same level of differences. -
Yep, I will be there!

Problem Fitting Aftermarket Wheels
Nightcrawler replied to mkn23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
If you have an accident and they realise you have spacers on (which they WILL) your insurer will not pay you a single cent, as you have contravened all laws by running spacers. Plenty of people do it, but be warned. Just buy the correct offset wheels and be done with it. -
Problem Fitting Aftermarket Wheels
Nightcrawler replied to mkn23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Why on earth would you buy such evil offset wheels? The rears will actually sit another 6mm further inside the guards than even stock wheels . People normally put on wheels with 50mm wider track to give the car some stance - not actually fit worse offset wheels. These will look beyond shit, I am sorry to tell you. I would be checking your strut clearance, especially on the rear - I wouldn't be surprised if they are hitting, and that is what is causing your fitment issues. -
He didn't say don't buy the KTF-1 from Jp- he just said make sure you buy the CORRECT oil, otherwise you will blow your CVT, which is true.
-
If you need to borrow a set of stock wheels for compliance or Regency I have a set sitting here with brand new tyres on them that you could hire for a nominal fee (I am a mate of Kristian's btw).
