Why Do You Like Skylines? Their Best Qualitys
PTR33 replied to OKBANANA's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Nah, not pathetic at all (I do it too). I agree, the R33 looks more mean than sleek or sexy. A S7 RX7 looks sexy... -
R33 GTS25 $10,090 not registered....worth it?
PTR33 replied to V8skylineMAN's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah, what he said. If it don't have a compliance plate it will cost you about 5 grand to get it complianced before it can be registered. And that is IF it can be done. Check this angle out before parting with any cash. It could cost you a lot more in the long run. -
One point twenty-one gigawatts!?!?!?!?? What was I thinking?!?!?!? :zap: Oh hang on... That's in the deLorean, not the Skyline... heh heh as you were people.

Any time this guestion is asked you will always get a whole bunch of R32 owners claiming that their cars are 10% lighter than a R33. (it's more like 4%) But you won't hear many of them mentioning that the R33 has a 25% bigger engine that is 16% more powerful and has 11% more torque. Specs... is it leaving a puddle of oil under the car? does it blow blue or white smoke out the exhaust? 2 litres is a hell of a lot of oil to have to put in... how fast does it use the oil? what colour is the oil on the dipstick? is there oil in the coolant? all these would help us answer or at least point in the right direction. Oh, and it won't just go away. Unlike us, cars don't heal.

Just see a lawyer ASAP. Something as simple as saying "I hit a pedestrian" when you should be saying "A pedestrian jumped out in front of my car." or saying "I didn't see her." to the wrong person could put your a$$ in a sling. :Bang: <- your life DO NOT TALK TO ANYBODY ABOUT THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE GOT LEGAL ADVICE! You can bet your lefty that some bottom feeding liability lawyer will jump on this with both feet. And you will be his target. :blast: "Your honour, this HOON in his fast car nearly killed my client who was just crossing the road minding her own business. She deserves $5 million compensation." BULL$HIT, If it went down as you describe then she should be paying for the damage to your car. (may she have a speedy recovery, but she trashed your car man)

I wonder if they would go to so much trouble if the reported car was say (off the top of my head) a white commodore?
-
He can't spell askew either... [ducks] j/k

With the Silvia drivers it is probably a case of green eyes.

Ahh, who cares. The important thing is... GO, THE FORDS!!! :Owned:

nissans should be aloud to race with the holdens and the ford

Bah, only cheap wine comes in 5 litres. :flamed: -
Damn, I do that all the time too. (flip speed cameras the bird). I guess I had better stop it.... NAH FUGUM!! Nice work Nexus9, and they will NEVER be able to prove it. There are so many things that you could have been doing and it just "looked" like that at the instant the photo was taken. But as you say, hopefully you wern't looking directly into the camera and smiling at the time. If they try to push it I would send the photo in to Rove Live as a "What The?" Stir up some shit. Reminds me... On the way to work the other morning I saw a speed camera on the other side of the road and was doing my civic duty flashing the poor schmucks coming the other way when I noticed that in the middle of one group was a bike cop... D'oh. He just shook his finger at me as he went past, I swear I could see him smiling inside his helmet.

do you want to put them (graphics) on a picture or design them to get made to put on an actual car?
-
mmmmmmmmm crunchy :drooling: So, I guess you could say that not running rich could make you poor?

If he's in that much of a rush I wouldn't like to see him importing one. Sure you can get a late model (spec2 1998) for not much over $20K, but it is hard going through the 2 1/2 months of owning the car before you get to even see it in the metal and the over three months from buying until you get to park your ass behind the wheel. Teaches you a lot about patience but...:uh-huh:
-
Sky33, only one person can decide if the auto (tiptronic or not) sucks ass... and that's you. Go and drive one of each and make your own decision. ( That's what God invented car yards for )

I made a couple of withdrawls from the bank... Does that count? Glad to see the site back up but.

Seeing that dB is a logarithmetric scale and that 3dB represents a doupling of the sound pressure energy, 92dB is about 50% louder than 90dB. But I agree with you, even that's not loud man.

Question about petrol (probably pretty dumb)
PTR33 replied to r33skylinegtst's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I have found that by running BP Ultimate or Shell Optimax in any of the cars that we have had over the last few years that the actual cost per km is lower. I get at least 10% better distance from a tankful and it costs between 5 and 10% more. Simple maths really. Oh, and the car runs much better. Even the Excel I had last year as a work hack got fed 98. -
DAMN, does that sound illegal or what?? I would be outta there sooooooooo quick. If you MUST do it against all advice run it all by your friendly local transport department. But don't be surprised if they lock the door and won't let you out until you give up the "dealer"'s name. Then again perhaps you have already ought the car and are having second thoughts...... Geezzz, I hope not. For your sake.
