  1. That looks like one of those kinugawa actuators
  2. You know what i mean though right, GTR being AWD and all? You know what they say about the new R35 GTR..
  3. No offense to anyone, and i've yet to actually drive a GTR. I couldnt think of a more boring car to take to the track, unless its had alot of money sunk into it. You could buy several R32 GTS-t's for the price of a S3 R33 GTR, and being RWD you would learn properly how to handle and corner around a track. Just my 2 cents
  4. Sorry i meant the housing in your post number 6345.
  5. Stao Is that housing there compatible with the ATRG3? Looks much nicer than my current one.
  6. Was just being a dickhead, ofcourse if you're going from a stock turbo and catback to a HG then no shit sherlock. Going out on a limb i would say most potential buyers would already have upgraded the dump pipe. My point was Stao tries to make these turbo's as easy as possible for people to bolt on themselves, without having to worry about buying/fabbing up other things to get it to work. It was the reason i bought one instead of a GT3076R kit.
  7. If you're gonna change the dump/flange pattern, you may aswell follow through, do it properly, and go external gate.. F*ck it, why not get a 6 boost while we're at it.. Perhaps this is why Stao makes these turbo's the way he does (Affordable and simple).
  8. Thanks mate. was scratching my head for a while there!
  9. Thread dig! Ive got a similiar problem. R33 gtst series 2, installed some 256 poncams series 1 cams (tomei say the series 1 cams are for the series 2 GTST) and the inlet vct side cam seal is now too thin in id. So theres quite a gap on the inner hole, the OD is fine, and the exh seal fits fine.. Just been to nissan, all cam seals for every rb motor are identical apparently.. Anyone know whats going on? Do i have the wrong cams or a series 1 head or something?
  10. exactly what i feared! damn, so.. when's forza 5 coming out?
  11. always something to go wrong isnt there? cars...
  12. thats what i was thinking, but it was the exhaust popping and shooting flames haha.
  13. Haha dude i saw that. I was thinking how unfair is it for them to pair you up with an R35 GTR..
  14. They say the stock manifolds flow well enough for 300rwkw. So yea for a stock turbo its not really worth upgrading. Not sure if it would need a retune from only upgrading the mani, the gains would be very minimal on that power level
  15. "You've done it again, McStao"
  16. im in your exact shoes. it was option 1: buy 2nd hand unknown condition motor from someone. or what i chose, option 2: rebuild, refresh and toughen up ("toughen up" being used lightly) my existing motor (ACL bearings, ross tuff harmonic balancer, crank oil drive thingo, ARP headstuds etc etc). i think i would be kicking myself if i started getting huge blow-by after 12 months of getting a 2nd hand motor.
  17. i thought the rings were metal to metal? how else could it seal?
  18. thats pretty cool, hes gonna charge you for doing that is he?
  19. thats not bad for 16psi. considering i made 375rwhp on 21-20psi. it does sound like a restriction for sure.
  20. do it dude. dont listen to that little goblin on one of your shoulders telling you its not worth it.. can i buy the rb26 rods if you decide not to?
  21. sounds siiick. was that on gnangara rd?
  22. Have a look inside the turbo outlet for any oil. Easiest way to tell if the turbo seal is gone
  23. Just so you know I bought an hks evc-s electronic boost controller. Every single tuner ive dealt with say they are junk.. I still dont know why.
