  1. I always wondered why i never see tubbed skylines..
  2. I have the temp sensor on my oil filter relocator.. Didnt take much notice if it was the ingoing or outgoing side though : /
  3. Do the xforce ones fit snug up into the car? Or more jap spec?
  4. Daft Punk - Discovery album.
  5. Ok, thanks guys. I might try a 10W60 come next oil change. What would you say the optimal oil temperature be until the beans can be given? I have been letting it get up to 60-70C before i step on it, on a warmer day it will sit around 78-85C driving normally. I've yet to properly track the thing yet, just wondering.
  6. So is a 10W60 best for track duties? Would it be ok for the street?
  7. Ok thanks. Was just curious. Im still happy with the G3, just waiting another few weeks until i get a tune with 20psi on this rebuilt motor.
  8. Hey stao, just out of interest; how much would it cost to convert my ATR43G3 nissan 6 bolt internal gater to this current SS2 nissan 6 bolt internal gater?
  9. WMI, tempting. If only we had E85 over here!
  10. Yea worst case ill wack the old one back on. I'd just really like to have lower boost for fanging around the track
  11. I think i only managed to get 2mm onto it with the thing threaded on all the way. Turbo is the same.
  12. Not too sure at the moment man, before i was getting 20 psi by about 4200rpm all the way to redline. I wanted a low boost and high boost option (12 psi and 20psi). The tuner tried fiddling with the EBC but could not get it to hold steadily, said if he increased to 18psi it just drops down to 12 by the end. So i said to leave it at the 15psi tune for now until i get another boost controller, or figure out whats going on.. I may not have enough pre-load on the actuator rod, perhaps causing it to crack open pre-maturely? And yea Tao i'll look into the actuator rod. I think its the 3rd or 4th tuner ive dealt with thats said these HKS EVC-S's are pieces of crap so it could just be that and my dodgy kando actuator.. Back to the drawing boards!
  13. Got the car back today. Pretty happy that the motor is running well after being rebuilt, although a little disappointed that it has a boost issue. Cant seem to get a steady boost line, let alone at 20psi. Anyway regarding the manifold, not much to say really. It holds up fine and roars a little louder? Need to fiddle with my kando actuator a bit more i think, it was made for a SAAB after all lol. And maybe find out if my HKS EVC-S is anything more than an expensive digital boost gauge (POS apparently). Still want to get it tuned with 20psi going through it
  14. see if a magnet sticks to the wheels?
  15. with the dump bolted on the turbo, the cat (still in standard position) was sitting about 20cm away from the dump flange. managed to get it all bolted on alright in the end, just had to do away with the support bracket that goes on the dump/cat flange. and Stao, cool graph man. i would be happy if i achieve similiar results. slightly less boost and more power sound good
  16. the genuine nissan gasket kit i bought came with an all rubber piece
  17. Ah ok, so only S2 had an all rubber one.
  18. I ended up scoring an R32 collector gasket. The R33 one is all rubber where the R32 one has a metal piece sandwiched inbetween the rubber. May hold up better with higher boost like Stao was saying.
  19. im booked in for a tune 4th december, ill be sure to report results!
  20. that looks like an r33/r32 gasket
  21. ^ dude thats f'in awsome.
  22. 4th deciembre
  23. *Dusts off thread* I take it the vipec activates launch control using wheel speed? So over a certain speed the system disengages? Then no need to wire in a toggle switch i take it. EDIT: Looks like it needs a switch wired in from the clutch pedal somewhere back to the ECU. How did you go about this PM-R33?
  24. Haha woops! damnit do you know how long it takes me to write things by iphone?!
