  1. Just drive it, maintain it and as others say, enjoy. You could go E85 for a little more safety and a little more power! 4 years and 110000km, that sounds like a daily to me lol.
  2. If your rod is knocking, that could mean that the piston won't be moving perfectly up and down the cylinder bore. Maybe get a worm camera and feed it through the spark plug hole and have a look around the bores see if they still look fine. Ive heard rod knock, its not a nice sound. This doesn't sound as brutal as rod knock, but at the same time abit harsh for lifter noise.
  3. Does it include everything needed? MAP sensor? Is it in a housing? Just to clarify this is the NGT4 unit? Very keen on this, whats the location?
  4. I got the ss2, made 246rwkw on 19psi. My intake pipe was 3 in metal at the turbo to the stock rubber pipe to the afm. Since that tune and run I have more been using a full 3 inch metal pipe and had to pull timing out my self on high boost due to pinging. Even after pulling out timing I feel no change in power. I yanked out about 4 to 5 degrees in some areas. JEZ I'll be visiting you soon.
  5. Changing the knock sensor with the plenum on is impossible. Try unplug one and leave the other in. see if it's one or the other. I did this to confirm the knock reading I was getting on startup was the rear sensor near the starter motor.

  8. Looks like my car after, Ive jacked it up and loosened the nuts holding the wheel to the hub.
  9. Ive noticed the effects of heat soak on my car but that is generally after big drives(2hr+) on hot days. Not so much detonation rising etc but just doesn't feel as... oomphy when shit gets too hot.

  13. It could be, I'd have to get it on a dyno and I doubt anyone will do it free and I can't justify paying 90 for dyno time then finding out the sensor is f**ked and paying another 80 to replace it. Either way it's going to cost money. Sometimes I think my head unit is a f**king ATM for the car.
  14. Idle with air con on and hot summer days I get to about 86 degrees with the stock radiator, 78 on normal days.
  15. If your starter motor turns every time, it's not the problem. The f**king battery in my car is as big as a tissue box if not smaller. I get 7v when cranking but it still starts... Try another battery, if nothing then there is another problem, which could be easy or.a pain to find.

  17. I just, got some heat through the o2 sensor. Didn't affect the reading. I checked the wiring and other shit and it looks fine. Didn't affect reading. I set the car on fire, didn't affect reading. I can't justify another $80 for another sensor. I don't try to tune the car anymore anyway so I guess ill live with it for now until I rip the gauge out and throw it at someone in road rage. My fuel economy is absolutely disgusting if I let me turbo do some work. With nice average skyline driving and granny driving when ever I'm feeling lazy, I can get about 400km to the tank. I can get anywhere from 200 - 250 giving it a hard time.

  19. I don't know if I should buy a new sensor or just forget about it. Waste of 230. I emailed the people I bought it from, they don't replace them. Bullshit, the f**king thing failed prematurely. I'll try the brake cleaner and see what happens. Shit thing is it's reading richer than it should. I really doubt my tune is thrown out.

  21. Give then more money they give you more power!!! I'm going to throw my car on the dyno just to get a power run and suss out my afr's. I got DVS JEZ to tune my car but a while ago it pinged it's ass off on high boost so I pulled timing out from everywhere lol. Still feels the same but no ping.
  22. Every time I see my car on the dyno, I don't know about you guys, but I squint my eyes and get f**king nervous when those revs climb. It never bothers me at all on the road, only on the dyno. The first time I got my car on the rollers, I was like Wtf are they doing to my car!
  23. And if you need to lose weight in your pocket, modify a skyline! About 7k should get you 280+rwkw with nice solid handling. Then factor in about 1k more for when nothing goes to plan.

  25. Buy a 5l, put 5l in. why leave 100 to 200ml in the bottle?
