  1. Any of the Classic fellows wanting to come along to the Forum Battle?? It's part of the ARC Round @ Calder in March. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/387545-sau-forum-battle-come-one-come-all/ I believe Gerry is interested in coming and no doubt be walking away with trophies/prizes again (they have over $11,000 in prizes etc) Have a good smattering of R35-R32 but lacking a little in older models a tad. SAU is also covering 50% of the entry fee... Which also automatically gives you a 3-day pass to check out the rest of the ARC Round awesomeness which will be pretty cool and quite unique. Will have to finalise everything end of this coming week... So ye, leave it with you fellows!
  2. Will start finalising entries for the Show'n'Shine over the next 4-5 days. Fair few entries have come in, could still use a few more of course
  3. SAU-Vic Scavenger Hunt/Cruise/BBQ TODAY!!! See you all @ Final Meet point for BBQ awesomeness. Can't wait. Awesome day... Haven't slept since yesterday - Shall be interesting by about 1pm I predict!
  4. Ok so who has tickets/is coming??? I know there are a few just talking to you all. Speak up and i'll start a list There are also SA & NSW Club members coming across/down for this... Might have to plan a session at a pub for the Sat Night perhaps
  5. Talking just the front or front/rear? Could always go down to a local brake place, most of then will have the facility to ADR ones up on the spot for you. If you are lucky they will have all colours of hose, fittings etc (not that it means much, but its cool to customise). I had this done for my D2 Brakes, i think the cost was around $110 which for local/on the spot/talk to someone - was pretty happy with.
  6. Please read the rules Dan.
  7. A GT30 would go well for 300rwkw Have a look @ the graphs posted by "Al" in the RB30 thread. VERY impressive.
  8. Ye Calder in all honesty is NOT the place to go to test/tune. Really need to drive to Heathcote these days. Calder is just toooooo busy I'm waiting for Snowman to get back from Bali. If he says we are doing Mt Baw Baw Sprint - then I won't be... If I don't do Baw Baw then 100% be @ drag challenge
  9. DVD should be ready next week - after it's been distributed etc it'll be set to invisible until later in the year.
  10. Looks like it has "step downs" near the flanges, or in other words - restrictors. So not a true 3.5" Can you please confirm the ID near flanges, preferably with pics.
  11. Same - Being a shift worker sometimes i dunno whether it's day/night breakfast/dinner. So a shake etc definitely helps to make up the difference. Don't use any "pre workout" stuff though, at best maybe just a coffee, biggest issue for me is getting off my a$$ and actually going. Once I'm there it's all gung ho!
  12. Most of the motor parts are irrelevant for what you are asking. It's very simple. Turbo's are the only key part really. Everything else doesn't really matter in the terms you are thinking. 300-340rwkw - Garrett -9 360-400rwkw - Garrett -5 It's no harder decision than that. ECU, injectors - pretty much anything out there will be OK if it is in the ball park. So talk to your tuner about that and go with their recommendations.
  13. I do not see a question here - is this a blog post?
  14. Clearly didn't read the part about it being supplied eh? Gold coin donation etc for foodages i believe
  15. WTF Thought it was tomorrow.. LOL FARK
  16. Sell the cooler (use stock one, its fine), buy -9s That's what you do if you want response/street car. Otherwise do the other stuff and go for more power/lag. It's as simple as a choice.
  17. Bring on SCAVENGER HUNT TOMORROW Gonna be a farken good event. 4 months in the planning. Adam F has done well!
  18. I can now confirm this... RB30DET's etc are OK for street class.
  19. I think you totally missed the fact it would cost 3x the current DVD cost. Which makes it impossible.
  20. oic. I am much confuse. Women speak in riddles at the best of times ^^^ much better explaination Seriously though if the tyres can't be changed without scratching rims... Or a properly prepped/painted setup that will last against track work... Surely possible? Can be done with car rims. Can't see it being much different
  21. no point buying AFMs or injectors for your goals. We've said it a few times already. Both are fine for upto 300rwkw, you can make more, it just depends. Every set-up is different. If it maxes out @ 290rwkw, so be it. For the $1400 it'll cost (AFM/Injectors) just to get 10-20rwkw... Only you can decide if it's of any value to you. I'd say no. Also buying 2nd hand AFMs is also wasted money. If they start to fail or play up, you end up buying new ones or chasing gremlins.
  22. Some of the footage appears in other videos, so it's probably accumulated (even though it has a date, it wasn't done in a day). So overall just that short 4mins 30sec or so of video would have taken the span of a few weeks to film. Lots of locations, different times of day etc that you can pick-up watching it. Take a good solid week of editing, maybe more to put it together as well. Ok for a hobbyist type, not so good for a budget Would love to do something similar with SAU Nats it would blow costs out by 3x to have a paid production crew to get that level/amount of varying footage into 3 days as well as there would need to be 4-5 camera men with quite a varying array of rigs etc. Great videos in this thread though. Good fun to watch.
  23. All that happened was a few Americans ripped off the Jap VIP from the '80s, Westernised it, profited massively. And now the "trend kiddies" or "band wagoners" have their knickers in a knot over someone else profiting... Absolutely hilarious.
  24. You don't need an external drain if you put proper sized restrictors in that match against the oil flow you will have. It's funny people haven't needed them at all really before, and the last 18 months they are the latest rage... And are basically a band-aid type solution.
