  1. Well if you don't trust it, don't ever bother coming to my Squires Loft
  2. wow $650 change over when out of the car, thats gotta be wrong. I did get mine done back 6-7 years ago now, but even then no way it's 400 more expensive
  3. Assuming that is remove/refit and then rebuild? You try removing the rack outta a GTR and then fit it back in, you'll understand why it's costly. I took my rack in whilst it was removed, so it was only $150-$200 or something fully rebuilt.
  4. lol fast food corner store recommendations... On a more serious note - where do you want to "go" as such? Bar/Pub/Club? Also what food do you like? I've plenty of suggestions but it'll depend on what you prefer and i can give you some ideas
  5. We will get the numbers, i don't doubt that. Work out the spec etc if you are in (need 330mm for 17s)
  6. Or ye, take a wheel down as the easier option haha Post up once you do, will be interesting as i think it should fit actually
  7. Take the 34 down to Import Monster mate, he has a 380mm rotor sitting there on display. Would be good to answer for everyone perhaps as well
  8. Again, please show a thread where this occurs.
  9. Properly made bolt on spacers are the ONLY safe way to do it. That link is just a case of someone buying some cheap china shit off ebay and getting caught out. No point getting caught up in the paranoia because of one tightass I ran bolt on spacers on my GTR for 6 months, prior owner for 4 years - track driven regularly.
  10. Example of such a thread you are trying to click through from?
  11. No they aren't. They are exactly as stated, both ceramic and both essentially the same thing. t517s are also rubbish - have a search, plenty of info around about your questions.
  12. Harder rear will 100% play a factor in wheelspin. When I put the power down in the 31 or the GTR at speed, the rear would still squat a little. Having no transfer at can certainly be a factor in wheelspin.
  13. Update is above mate, that was 10 days ago. Order placed, waiting for completion and shipping (order was placed days before i posted, just had no internet to update over NYE period). Once i know more, I will post for everyone. It does take a few weeks for the orders to fill.
  14. ^ different car, tune, turbo etc. Power delivery has a lot to do with it. So other things than just better/wider tyres might be needed for better overall fix. Always hard to tell but always better to have a few options if one doesnt make it heaps better
  15. When new models come out, like most things, the old stock is returned to the manufacturer or sold on 'special' to clear and rebates given. You'll have a hard time finding them in most instances. What business wants to carry old stock when customers want new stuff?
  16. Wider tyres Softer suspension in the rear Better rear alignment. You also have a .63 rear on the turbo so it'll be ramping hard so you might need to just learn some throttle control. My GTS-R with 280rwkw never broken traction other than the top end of 1st even @ full mash. Good tyres (had 255s on), supsension setup, good power delivery from the turbos/tune etc.
  17. National Power Steering 111 Box St I've used them before, they know all about GTR racks and fixing the factory weakness and how to fix drivers side seal is shit IIRC.
  18. Exactly A T04Z setup well on PULP will smash out 440rwkw comfortably, would go higher on E85
  19. lol Bozzo - I'm in a Holden, and after hearing first hand how good the VF is going to be from a mate who's had a tinker... I reckon a HSV in 2 years time just before they end. 55-60k for the average worker? That's insane if you are talking the factory workers.
  20. Couldn't agree more. That's the main issue from just about anyone I talk too... The fact that of a session for some classes, you might see each car out there once, twice if you are lucky. So it's very quiet on the track so to speak from a spectator, and given the ticket pricing is from memory more than a round of the V8 Supercars... Gotta keep the patrons happy as much as the sponsors, and what keeps sponsors happy? Happy patrons!
  21. We did a quick few numbers the other day - this comes courtesy of a friend who went on a bit of a rant, but it certainly gives a good idea of the state of the overall market (this is more a general thing)... This is based on a car costing 100k to make. $100k $2k per car freight ro/ro – will be less for them due to economies of scale, but work with me $5k @ 5% import duty on car cost $107k landed. Plus anything they need to do to it locally to make it adr compliant. Let’s just say that the car sitting there owes them $110k $110k and let’s say they add $30k margin so the dealer pays $140k $140k and the dealer adds their margin. So let’s say $170k. $170k, every $$ over I think $58009 gets taxed at 25% LCT = $27997 LCT Close enough to $200k Then add GST and stamp duty. So there we have Import duty being taxed with LCT and then the combination of the LCT and Import duty being taxed with GST. Then you have Stamp Duty which is a tax on 3 other f**king taxes. Yeah and hence it won't be until into 2020 as I said earlier that things will get interesting. This will have an effect on export as well for Holden, unless they plan to prop that with other models which no doubt they will be looking into. So yeah demise not really premature given this is 8 years from really starting to see a boat rock around on this issue.
  22. If the head was rebuild then springs wont be an issue, again they are fine for 400rwkw/24psi on a refreshed head.
  23. lol... you want past experience? Wait until the officer drives off and then pull the defect sticker off right away OR as soon as you get home. Then just sticky tape it on once it dries (or just wipe the glue off and tape it on). It's only illegal to not display it... Says nothing about taking it off and immediately re-affixing so it's not a massive pain in the ass later! That's true experience for ya
  24. Depends if it affects recovery time or not. Some people recover from most common colds in 2 days or so and can still train. Where others might train and then the cold will linger for 4 days or even get worse. Comes down to the situation I guess? IMO the harder part would be the eating, I know if I get ill then my appetite totally disappears.
  25. Yes if the rest if 3.5" - going to 3" will choke. To test simply drop it from the front pipe merge and dyno run it, you'll soon see. Cooler - test the pressure drop pre & post cooler, decide from there. TT pipe - again no. Factory piping is fine for 400rwkw. They only mod the stock one to avoid compressor surge/shuffle, you shouldn't have that with -5s. AFMs - again not a restriction. Two Nismo AFMs will flow 400rwkw no worries. Mesh it was proven gives no tangible result either
