If the pedals are non-factory, and are alloy without any rubber/non slip pads - then the RWC is 100% within his rights to fail you for it. If people spent more time knowing what the laws actually are, they would actually be surprised how right some RWC people are on a lot of things. Whilst they might be small in your eyes, it's his license at stake. Obviously there are some guys who just make stuff up, but in the new day/age where it's photo's required etc, it's a lot harder now for things to be "overlooked". A few people have even stopped doing RWC's unless people pay $300+ as it's such a waste of time for them now.

Last year there was a scarce supply of AD08s for a few months in many sizes. I know a few friends who were waiting a while, and some who still were lucky and got them from Overseas sources... in a week. They weren't willing to wait for stock Hopefully Yoko realise and get a HEAP of stock in well in advance given lots of testing will be going on as well.

Wrecking R32 Gtr

125mph and 400rwkw don't really match, power is certainly down there. Even @ 500rwkw you should be sitting 134mph EASY. R33 GTR 340rwkw 11.5 @ 123mph Full weight (full tank & spare in the boot) with a larger sump (9.5ltrs)/brakes/oil cooler etc + 85kg driver. I wish I'd put it on the scales to see how much over factory with all the extras. HR31 GTS-R 220rwkw @ 1480kg 11.9 @ 110mph

Unless those ebay hoses have become better in the last 3-4 years, I'd be thinking twice... They tend to get spits and fail over time (2-3 years). I had a brand new Auto88 one spring a leak after only 2 months... Nissan OEM - Lasted 20 years, will last another 20.

Yep - dead - so locking this. We haven't gotten the response/thungs we expected so we will look to other avenues for it all. If we look to the designs above we will contact that person and arrange something.

Probably find there is more than one, only because there are a set amount of plates per year etc. -
I second all other nominations John Martin Tony Dan You boys are doing an impeccable job.
-
I second Simon, as long as he delivers on the above within 12 months - otherwise reparations need to be made It's something that needs to happen. Along with online webforms for entries... Enough of this fax business.

Use the proper section. It's not that hard to find.

Wouldn't matter. Dash/KMs etc would all be altered before hitting the country most likely. -
Twin 3 Inch Exhaust !? Anyone Done It?
R31Nismoid replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Piggaz has a Racepace. So dual CATS, 2 Mufflers on each pipe... And as he said, it is very very tight in some places as a result. And hence I'm gonna say - Twin 3" just weighs & costs FAR too much for what you get out of it. Easier to just go with a single 4" which is good for 400rwkw+ anyway. Is lighter, cheaper and you can get two massive mufflers for the same noise reduction. (looking at a GB of 4" exhausts in a few months ) If you are dead set on doing it you don't need the two resonators as you come off the front pipes. Two _asbigasyoucan_ mufflers on each pipe will be very adequate. It would be a SUPER tight fit on a R32 that's for sure. -
GB wont lower a price unless someone makes a mould, which for 3 of them is a waste of time so the price will still be up there, I wouldn't say half the price for 2 skirts. $750 isn't actually too bad and you know they will fit. You'd need to get them sent via container though

Shitting a turbo can take the motor with it. Some GTS-t owners have shat turbos, and had the comp wheel come loose (same time as exhaust wheel). Comp wheel has somehow managed to make it all the way past the cooler/throttle body and lunched the motor. So you wouldn't be driving anywhere really, smashing the valves as well isn't a smart idea if there is debris/chunks in the cylinder. So in short - Why be silly and push it?
-
How did you mount it? Could've come loose and it sitting against metal, easy to check really and rule out

Indeed it's usually 3rd that does get stripped, it is a smaller gear etc so it makes sense. Still clutches I think do play a solid part. I know someone that busted a OS box & a stock (without a Nismo), and then went back to a stock box with a Nismo and it was fine. One example is far from truth but overall rarely hear a Nismo copper owner busting a box.
-
Mine held fine @ 550-600HP, 8200rpm launches constantly for 18 months. Might be worth the gamble just to get a 2nd hand one given they are about $800. Gearboxes failing is also dependant on the clutch. The Nismo Coppermix is very forgiving for a gearbox due to its construction and the clamp/pressure etc. Where say a nastier OS clutch isn't and will stress components a lot more. You tend not to hear many people busting boxes that use Coppermix clutches as a result which is something a lot of people don't take into account

For Those Running Nismo Coppermix Twin.....
R31Nismoid replied to Goombeh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sounds about right. If you dont like it, get it adjusted -
Cleaned about 4 pages of dribble... Given how little amount of people post here, it shouldn't need to be moderated this heavily. Please stick on topic.

Mine never slipped when cold, even when it was stuffed. -
Ah the Hume Camera's have been on since Aug, so probably caught speeding then come processing time - system realises it was suspended. That is amusing failboat at it's best
-
Also - side point... I wouldn't be trusting drifters for the correct idea on what things cost. Reason I say this as over the last 1-2 years there have been a lot of backyard-er type places open up. They don't have proper business insurance, security systems and other types of overheads which allow for greatly reduced costs. So when something bad does happen (like they get robbed, which seems to be ocurring a lot lately), you as a customer gets the ripe old shaft on the other end. Just something to think about. (The above does not mean in any way i support that quote, heaps of stuff on there is just plain ripping off of a customer - said person was stupid to let work happen without an quote anyway).

To Run A Bov Or Not And Fmic Issues!
R31Nismoid replied to P1@Y's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
If you plan on a 3076 - use a stock GTR BOV. Normal RB25 ones are prone to leaking after a while, some are ok though - but do it once etc etc.
