4.30pm Today I enquired. Winton doesn't cost 10k on a Monday, it never has, so I double checked there hadn't need a near doubling from 2012 hire costs.

Sti Calliper On A 33
R31Nismoid replied to Savtraxx's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
No point even Brembos these days with the D2 as cheap as they are. The cost to get the custom dog leg/lines made for non factory calipers, run a rebuild kit through them (as they will be 2nd hand) etc means its far more economical to just sell them and buy a NEW proper bolt on kit with the lot. -
Yeah I've not played it in a couple months, i was in so early on the BETA and so much stuff came each week i ended up spending too much time on it Might get back into it in Feb

^ Yes AASA might be half the price, but if someone intends to go to Sandown, Phillip Island and similar then CAMS is the only way to go there and offers better value than AASA. So just need to know what you want. AASA works fine if you only intend on Winton / Haunted Hills / DECA and other events under the AASA banner. $140 for Winton midweek /w 80 cars is expensive! You walk away with almost $4,000 in your back pocket. They could afford to have 55 cars rock up and not lose money given Winton only costs $7500 to hire on a weekday ($6,000 for the track, $1500 for timing/recovery).

Oxygen Sensor Dramas - R32 Vs R33 Gtr
R31Nismoid replied to drgtr7's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
+1 always got better economy with it off and a good tune, and just leaving a dead sensor in there or a bung. The factory O2 Sensors tend to fail more often in modified examples as well so better off just getting rid of the expense. -
Wow 50 on a cold night? Mine never did that even with 9.5ltrs of oil, the thermo should be keeping some temp in there you'd think. In saying that it would take a good 10-15mins to reach 70+ though

Not everything in there was 100% true

Just the whoretown thread? If so when im home later ill delete and re-create. Probably someones signature screwing it up -
Yeah as said... Was that on the 40 degree days? Around town on a 25 degree day once warmed up - Oil low 80 / Water low 70s.

As Alex said, you have 7 days to clear. So you can drive the car ANYWHERE in those 7 days. After those 7 days (and upto 28), you can ONLY drive to/from Mechanics or VicRoads for the explicit reason of clearing the defect. Taking the car for a service for example is not valid. The car is still registered, unrego permit has no relevance here.

Confirmed the order has been placed after talking with Aaron @ Import Monster I've started a thread for the 2nd Round as I'm getting PM's from people asking if it's closed, so see here if you want in on ROUND 2: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/417253-big-brake-group-buy-2-skyline-silvia-stagea-wrx-evo-all-makesmodels/

Information on kits (Please click "EXPAND WINDOW"). 330mm: http://www.d2racing....ndex&cPath=2_93 356mm: http://www.d2racing....ndex&cPath=2_94 380mm: http://www.d2racing....ndex&cPath=2_95 D2 kits are essentially the same as the K-Sport kits. I ran a D2 Racing kit on my very own R33 GTR that saw a number of track days and hill runs over 12 months. The kit never missed a beat and i highly recommend it for performance on a budget. Kits include: Calipers / Discs / Mounting Brackets to suit your model / ADR Approved Lines / D2 Racing "Street" Pad Standard Caliper Colour Options: Anodized Black Painted: Black / Purple / Yellow / Red (please specify) Additional non-standard colours can be done for $150 Brake Pad Options: D2 Racing - Street Pad or D2 Racing - Race Pace - Costs an extra $220 (RRP $250) (please specify) Price: Front 330mm - $1700 Front 356mm - $1800 Front 380mm - $2500 Rear 330mm - $1800 (includes factory handbrake compatibility kit, normally $250 extra) Above pricing includes ADR Approved Brake Lines (normally around $150 / $250 ($250 for front & rear). Do some research if you like, but i assure you the price is significantly cheaper than you'll find from any retailer in Australia OR Overseas and includes ADR approved lines to boot for even better value - don't wait to make a decision, it's well over 25% off after having a look around myself Especially you GTR owners, you can easily sell off your Brembo Rotor/Caliper/Pads for $1,200 - $1,400 - so the upgrade is next to nothing for a 356mm kit and a massive hike in braking performance Company Supplying goods: Import Monster - http://www.importmonster.com.au Shipping/Collection: If you are Victorian you can collect from Import Monster no problem, otherwise shipping will be at your expense. Kit Dimensions: D2 Front 8 piston kit 356mm Dimensions: 66 x 43 x 27 Weight: 36.5KG Shipping Pricing/Estimate: Sydney $38 for one set and $120 for 5 sets Perth $70 for one set and $350 for 5 sets Adelaide $38 for one set and $120 for 5 sets Hobart $68 for one set and $320 for 5 sets Darwin $105 for one set and $390 for 5 sets Brisbane $55 for one set and $200 for 5 sets Canberra $45 forn one set and $180 for 5 sets All of the above prices carry full insurance coverage against loss or damage. Couple Of Errors Guys.
R31Nismoid replied to Plattsy's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Try now and see. If not list browser, add-ons etc. It's working fine for me in FF and Chrome so yea... Usually a local issue But yes, flood control should be removed for anyone with a member tag. (you've had yours removed recently Plattsy, so that explains that). -
Nothing wrong with the Police coming up with additional charges after reviewing things (as long as its the same event). It's pretty normal.

Couple Of Errors Guys.
R31Nismoid replied to Plattsy's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Flood control is normal for users that are not club members, or SAU Donators If the post button isn't working, I'd suggest a browser update or check add-ons (some add-ons to Firefox for example will break IPB). -
Ancient maybe, but put a decent tri-pass core on it and combine with a good tune - temps seem to be quite ok. Fan won't help but a larger cooler and ducting - 100% will make a difference. Not only ducting in, but also ensuring behind the cooler the air has somewhere to go where as well. Enlarging the intake can also aid. You've still made no mention of your radiator type/size yet either? The PWR ones are a good choice, albeit it quite expensive. Racepace went out and have one made now which is similar to the PWR item, but you just need to order in advance
-
Stick to the tried and proven -9s or -5s Don't go playing with some unknown combination, you'll end up regretting it.
-
Nah pretty sure that had slightly touched sticks. But yeah 400rwkw on stock cams can be done, I've made 370 and I've seen others make 390-400 as well with -5s so they are working pretty hard. With a turbo that big it'll be easy.
-
Usually a un-rego'd car fine - which is $500, you got very lucky although admitting to it on a forum probably not the smarted idea
-
Closed and edited. Business slander will not be tolerated. Once you've won in a court of law or administrative tribunal - feel free to post up the true and document account of what happened. And in future, use a specialist workshop - general service type people working on Imports generally doesn't end well.

Big Brakes For R32 Gtst
R31Nismoid replied to StevenCJR31's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Shuddering might simply be a case of you warping them... So would depend the following - how hard you are driving? Current rotor size? Cooling/ducting? If they are low as you suspect (after having them skimmed) and you are getting them pretty hot then sounds like the cause there. Fix is obviously larger/more heat dissipation capacity, just depends how much you need (as per above Qs) -
Backyard garage spec, probably no insurance or any legitimate warranty either. Closed. If you wish to drum up business on this forum, you are required to pay just like everyone else.
