  1. Closed/Edit. If you wish to trade/sell here on SAU, you are required to become a paying trader like everyone else. Trader information can be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thanks.
  2. So thread started by a try-hard user who's a known pain in the ass. Couple of pics, and then 8 pages of whoring - closed.
  3. Most Victorian GTR's run stock coolers, given they are well proven to be fine for 400rwkw. Just measure it, easiest way to tell and the OEM size is easy shown. I don't believe there is a part number on it.
  4. A grade bullshit? To estimate speed you need 3 very basic things. - Start Point - End Point - Time It's really that simple. Will it ever be exact? No, but it'll be near enough and that is all the court cares about as it's not going to be wildly inaccurate.
  5. Closed - use the right section. And next time, rather than you Wastelanders whoring threads, use the report post button. Forget to do that and end up with warnings yourselves.
  6. Closed. Thread achieves nothing. Yes you are angry, but that's just like. Name and Shame thread, gets this forum nowhere.
  7. It wasn't a claim... It was fact, as it's Law and has been for a loooong time, I guess now you realise that Lawyer up. Admit to doing 18km/h over or something and you will probably get away with that reduction. The fact you admitted to them you were speeding, you are basically stuffed. You should've said nothing.
  8. Closed. Another Admin has done the warn/ban part, so i won't jump in there and add more. However let me say this - it takes two to tango. None of you needed to post here and inflame the situation. Next time use the report post button, stay out of it, let us do our jobs. If you don't, you'll all find yourselves with warnings as well regardless of "who started it".
  9. Yeah for every Skyline gear change, EVO is doing about 1.5 gear changes. Such a nice gearbox though, punching 1st to 3rd so seamless
  10. I was out there earlier actually. Looks like a restaurant now, plaster is almost finished around the place so rest of the fitout should be done in 2-3 weeks. Hope to open end of Jan and then be in full swing by mid/late Feb (won't open to capacity right away). Liquor License won't be ready till Feb anyway so it'll all fall into place nicely
  11. They do (depending on model). They spike in the mid range and drop right down in the top end quite heavily So first mod basically get tune/boost/exhaust and lower I/C pipe sorted sorted, the stock ECUs tune fine, and you go from 140awkw to 180-200awkw easily from nothing more than that really. Cheap powa!
  12. Given the tyres (AD08s) are worth more than price paid for the wheels - Be interesting to see what the actual budget is here
  13. You would get paid out whatever the market value is on the insurance. But given it's not registered and not in a RWC state (perhaps), that might be a tad lower. Mick (Micolour) isn't back I think till the 2nd week of Jan, probably the same for other places too
  14. Christian is O/S atm, so any issues at that level wont be getting fixed for a few weeks
  15. Read the rest of this thread, the question has been asked a dozen times at least.
  16. Noise test is just a noise test.
  17. Often you'll find hub results are not the same as a chassis dyno. They tend to read higher, so I'd still say you've got less than 300rwkw (which 117mph would suggest). So easily down 50-70rwkw, which you'll notice once you get it - it'll be a different car and you will easily pick up 8MPH. Possibly a bit more. To give you some perspective. A GT3076 (500-550hp turbo) will make around 300rwkw on 20-22psi. You have a 700hp turbo, that on 20psi has made 350/370rwkw on many many cars. A quick check of the dyno results thread would show you how easy and how many have done it :
  18. To a point - if you are illegally parked, or really where you should not - it'd be an interesting court case to see if you'd be able to recoup the costs or not. I know I'd be favouring the firemans judgement if it was a very serious fire and shit needed to happen. Without the full information it's really hard to say either way, and his insurance would still cover it regardless.
  19. No need to use the embed, just paste the direct link, works fine - we've setup to recognise straight links (saves time)
  20. PM's replied. Cluster is gone. Dash pending discussion S3 Trims & Carbon Diffuser still here. Also have a S2/1 door trim for a R33 GTR (blue stich) as well - pretty sure it's drivers side. Great nick, $100 if anyone wants.
  21. ^ as above. Only reason it wouldn't be would be if it was illegally parked or similar (in front of a fire hydrant etc, you get nothing back if they have to smash your windows as a result IIRC).
  22. In a heavier than stock R33 GTR (larger sump, radiator, brakes, coolers, 18" wheels etc) - I was running 11.4 @ 124mph with 335-340rwkw. You are in a much lighter car with a tad less power (410rwhp = 305rwkw), so you should be pretty much the same to be honest. I'd say your setup has issues. Your 60fts are good (so it's not a clutch problem) and your MPH isn't necessarily "too" low, but you would expect to be 120-122MPH at the least and that means you are probably not even making 305rwkw to be honest. A friend of mine years ago ran 117-118mph on stock turbos in a R32 GTR Also the fact you have a GT35 @ 20psi and only 305rwkw, is also telling something. A GT35 on that much boost you'd be expecting closer to 350-370rwkw on a stock motor. So combined with the MPH, it's telling you there is something pretty wrong to be a good 8-10MPH down on what that turbo/setup is capable of.
  23. Not really trickier, just painfully more expensive and restrictive. To stay legal, you won't be able to strip it and that's the part that will hurt you. Airbags, demister and so on all need to be retained as it's factory safety equipment. You only need to be caught by the wrong Revenue Raising Officer, and you'll be off the road. Better off to buy a cheap S13 that's an ex-track car or something, no rego, body can be rough etc. Fix whatever is tired on it, rubber underneath it and you'll be out and racing for easily under 10k, the rest you save (over going a S15) - put into a trailer.
  24. Which would defeat the purpose of a boost controller in the first place So taking a guess, car is probably stock apart from an exhaust and maybe an intercooler... So yes a tune is required otherwise with more boost you'll likely just make the ECU crack the sads with increased airflow. Nistune or a PFC is cheapest option, around $1500 worst case for ECU & Tune is what you need to budget there. Sadly it isn't just a case of installing a EBC and increasing boost. If not on the stock ECU (already a tuned one), then of course more boost = tune. They go hand in hand.
  25. Ran Edge 10/60 in daily, in all my built motors over the last 8 years or so. Perfectly fine.
