  1. Because you'd never get it past local council if you say it's a skidpan. This whole country has gone "hoon mad", Gov't and Council alike are not interested in driver training at all. Different story if you say it's for forklift training and then use it for something else (until you get that knock on the door of course). Drag Tag's skidpan is the perfect example of what happens (unfortunately), and 24months down the track i doubt that community attitude has changed for the better. Sad times unfortunately - but there is mounting angst in the car world at all the bullshit - perhaps if things get much worse people might unite and start seriously protesting it all. If I had time - I'd bloody well drive it myself
  2. Airbox and injectors are not limiting to 300rwkw. Airbox will do 400rwkw, it's been proven time over. $700 saved. Stock piping is fine, doesn't look great, but stops compressor surge. $400 saved Injectors will do around 300-320rwkw, which is what -7s will make max. So you save not needing rail/injectors/FPR etc. $1400 saved Intercooler is also totally fine. $1000 saved So $3500 saved already from things you simply do not need, and never will
  3. Closed. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/406046-are-you-a-business-read-here-before-posting/
  4. Far as i know - can't happen in 17", D2 state on their own site you need min of 18" Couple guys running 330mm here in Vic and the fit is acceptable on 17" - 356mm you couldn't say the same at all
  5. With a PFC it wouldn't, and if you used a ECU that did you'd be paying 4 figures for essentially 3 tunes. Most people simply tune for the highest boost when running a controller meaning that lower boost will be fine as it's not going to be worse off. I think running 3 boost levels is kinda pointless though, and costly for the controller to do that.
  6. Well a tune is roughly going to cost you $600-$800, so factor that in and add on $1000/$1200 for the new turbo... You're then sitting on around $1800/$2000... which is pretty much GCG Hi-flow money right there mate - No tune, bolt on and off ya go totally stock looking. Would seem the logical choice given your budget.
  7. Added both you guys in! Was talking to Aaron from Import Monster today - if we can get another 5 sets secured to round off 15 - Aaron will get those sets ordered. So that you guys don't have to wait for another month+ before we get to 25 for the first batch, and you'll get them early in the new year before the next season of track days kick on given a few of you are probably going to be into that caper So make sure you have your pennies ready, shouldn't take much longer to get 5 sets sorted. Bit surprised this hasn't taken off given the value people are getting from it, ah well, lucky you guys
  8. Hopefully you don't kill the motor in that alternate car either you savage you!
  9. What's gonna be your excuse for not rocking up again? Didn't use the geese as an excuse, it just made it interesting. Luckily I have the skills to be able to pilot around such problems without issue!
  10. 350rwkw in a R32 GTR would see you closer to 124/125mph, this would be low 11s easily. In my 33 GTR which is heavier, i ran 123mph with 340rwkw and 11.3
  11. MEGA MINI WANG Fark yes! Oh and Jack K is 100% OUT I'm gonna be sharing Mick's R34 GTR now as he is a very kind man, as is Rick
  12. It's clearly marked in the Event Sched you will get on the day, plus cones and a very obvious starting gate (with people standing there) - no chance you can go the wrong way
  13. (for anyone else reading the copy/pasta bit)
  14. Hopefully Nathan goes and runs a MPH to see if it's close, there is another result the page before it that didn't have the MPH to back the result either (missing 4-5mph which is a bit more than 10rwkw type thing). Seems that's happening more and more lately
  15. E85 you'll need 700s as a starting point I would think
  16. Last lines of the post i was referring too. Wouldn't have thought it that hard to work out if you read it
  17. Stock injectors (440) will do 300rwkw, so 550s will be fine on 98.
  18. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  19. MPH didn't back up the power on that setup (was way down), so don't waste too much time looking for it yet until it gets fixed
  20. I've not seen sensational results on -7 cars - maybe 20rwkw at the most as they run outta airflow before fuel and drop boost a little in the top end where larger turbos don't and having E85 then offers more benefits and lets you put more boost in You can weigh it all up from there really.
  21. In a straight line, not much at all.
  22. Especially the RB20 head, total waste of time that one 26 head, depends on the modification of the car now/future. If nothing major just a full reco will set you back quite a bit as it is (depending on the scalf of budget you had in mind of course). Certainly madness to go bigger valves etc - you're talking 4-5k just on a head. Better bang for buck on a set of turbos/ECU/AFM/tune/reco'd head etc etc.
