  1. People should also be quite wary of doing any business with someone that starts threads like this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404483-rb26-melting-pistons/
  2. If you wish to drum up business - you will be required to become a paying trader just like everyone else. More info here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/
  3. And then when they fail, as they will, you'll end up paying twice or more to buy more parts or do it right the 2nd time (rather than the first). 300rwkw+ on a budget never ends well long term.
  4. Could've been running a HKS VPC or similar perhaps. Either way it's had something there before, that's not removed - likely ECU related.
  5. Police are recognised estimators of speed. So all they need is the distance There would've been more to that case anyway by the sound of it. Speedo can be a supplementary item so it's not really grounds to fight based on that as you simply go on time/distance which is quite easy to work out. I've had that tried on me before as well (but failed due to distance not being enough, where they were in relation to myself etc etc).
  6. http://www.skylinesa...-melb-open-day/ SAU Trader Waxit are having an open day, details in the thread... Anyone that has been to the past days will know how good they are. I might well head down - anyone else?
  7. It's all water off a ducks back to me really - but I know you get it Darren End of the day people get their backs up too often when questioned... If they didn't want to be questioned, don't post. Thread cleaned - I did try to give a friendly warning, seems it lasted about 4 posts and off topic it went again.
  8. There is no dedicated HKS Dealer as such Only people that can source the parts.
  9. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  10. I've had Police lie in court as well mate, on more than one occasion - It's nothing new and the GOR Police officers are well known for it. I've actually been to Geelong Courts before, and won my case against the old duck from Lorne Police station who was lying, breaking protocol and his "star witness" didn't show in 2 occasions. It's just how the system is unfortunately. Police are sworn to uphold the law, yet push comes to shove they are forced to be totally dishonest by prosecutors and similar as part of their job. It's a broken system that will never change. When you see the attitude the top brass display, you can understand why pretty easily. Next time just get a lawyer, never have to stress then. (I've found court rooms to be largely a joke, no pressure, i just sit back and try not to laugh at the absurdity that is the Officer statements lies).
  11. What type of file were your trying? JPG / BMP etc.
  12. He was actually right. People are questioning things, that's the purpose of the forum. It does not give you the right to go on the personal against them all however - time to pull your head in.

  14. Yeah most people don't, but sometimes it's gotta be done because everyone else around then expects it to be "the norm"... And then we end up with more and more threads like "why am i down on power", when in actual fact they are perfectly fine... They are just expecting something that's not reasonable and trying to explain this to such users can be about as productive as belting ones head against a wall (similar to telling the GTX/500rwkw person that it was not possible, but we were all haters ) And for the record, there are no mini-me's running around that i know of
  15. -5s are now making 490rwkw at 25psi? Doubt it'll ever get the MPH to back that up. Same as the GTX35 with 500rwkw that turned out to be closer to 430rwkw on another dyno (like everyone said it was until the owner saw it himself). Not trying to be rude here either. Just that by now, surely people realise when they have a result that's 40rwkw higher than everyone else that something isn't right?
  16. Picture me waving my fist Rob Ok... 1. Price - Not yet. Aaron is following up on this. We only got back from SAU Nats a couple days ago. 2. They will be the same lengths as that of the kit. Every kit/model has differences so the ADR lines will be made to match what would come with the kit. 3. It won't be any cheaper without the brake lines as the need to be bulk purchased in order to get decent pricing as part of the GB for everyone. 4. Import Monster can organise this easily. They are readily available. I'll find out a price when i can... You can use AP Rotors, but of course you will need to lube up if you want too. I found the rotors the kit comes with to be exceptional and were fine in my R33 GTR and you know how i drove that 5. DS2500 was simply discussion earlier, the pads will be the generic D2 Racing pad. I've used the "Street" version and it was quite decent. 6. If you are already running R34 - you will need R34 kit as you've said, the mount is different etc. 7. Bias - I was running stock R33 BMC with front only - never had an issue (no-one else does either). Sounds like you just need to upgrade to a R33 BMC and then put them front only and it should be A-OK given a Skyline is very front heavy the rears aren't a "must have" to balance. Lemme know of anything else mate.
  17. Ye a single, clearance purchase. Then add GST / ADR lines and it's exactly what i said. Go and argue pointlessness somewhere else. If you are not interested, don't post.
  18. Ah... Yeah not quite... Plus a N1 block is a waste of money to start off with. Budget around the 10-13k for the motor and 7-10k for everything else (fuel, ECU, turbos, clutch etc). As that is where the money is going to realistically go. So it's not a "20k" motor, it's more like "I have 20k, where should i spend the money". Which does bring back what you can/can't do quite considerably as if the car is indeed basically stock, 20k is not going to get you far.
  19. 1mm won't be enough. Some small steel reo bar type thing will be fine. Once you get defected, then get it engineered. I see no value in spending $600 on engineers for a hole like that until you get caught... BUT... if you reinforce it, show the cops, you might be left alone and never have to worry about it. IF you do, you've already done it and it's a simple fix (engineers).
  20. threads merged. read the rules next time please.
  21. Because of the ABS sensors and the chassis being modified beyond the configuration in which ABS was tested.
  22. You are altering the chassis. It makes no real difference for small holes, but from an engineering point of view it's not tested/signed - hence you get pinned for it.
  23. ^ already updated you last week Well don't 1. That kit is on special, even at that price it wouldn't be here with ADR lines for less than $5500 2. It's normal price would put it at around $8000. Done! What colour / pad?
  24. If the car has ABS - it's a flat no-no. If the car is non-ABS, as long as you reinforce the underside of the holes, it's no problem.
