Lot longer than 6 years, I'd be pegging it at around 8-9! Good to meet you in person finally as well, once I'm off shift work, I'll be down for a chat
-
I mean - the rear housings have been "hi-flowed" to take the larger CHRA (ie, larger turbine wheel). I can also tell you they are not R33 N1 turbos as the R33 N1 had larger rear housings as the turbos were laggy junk. In summary - Go and get a photos of the exhaust housings and post them up.
-
Well it's not the same as a -7, put it that way. The problem with that TM site, is they are listing all the old part numbers for products not on market anymore. The comp wheel for that CHRA has a higher trim than a -7 on the comp wheel, but a lower trim on the turbine. So front "should" flow more, but the rear won't. Will be 300rwkw-ish you'd think as the comp wheel is basically the next size up from a -7 (but not as much as a -9, almost a half step). It'll all come down to that rear housing, I'd be guessing it's not a .48 anymore and it's been hi-flowed to fit the CHRA...
-
Ignore Garrett's website in some respects, they changed the ID/Part numbers a while back so if they are a old set it's misleading. They were 2560s initially so some have old tags, some have new - depends on the age. Rear should be .64 for -7 Turbo ID: 707160-7 CHRA: 446179-54 Turbine: 53.90mm 62trim 0.64 A/R R34 standard turbos are not steel wheel.

Out of interest, why did you take off the ksport setup Dennis? PM me if you like
-
Good 10 sec stop/go for Grosjean. About time they got tough on him. Should've DISQ though.
-
Grosjean is a dead set moron.
-
Yeah but regularly - why would you? Can tow, and towing well/easily are two different things

Good day out, atmosphere down there indeed really motivating (half the reason for my trip down), some very strong guys for a novice comp. Solid effort Nick, 500kg total, huge! Only took me 35mins to get home Nick, so realistically it's not that far provided traffic isn't farked.
-
Nah there was definitely talk of positive camber at the start. I had a search for about 15mins but couldn't find it, pretty sure it was a side convo in topic about something unrelated
-
I remember a thread on this semi-recently, in the past 4 months for sure. I've had a bit of a search, but can't remember where it was. Someone else was asking much the same question. I'll keep looking and see if i can find it, was a few posts on the topic but i think it was in the middle of another discussion
-
Please read the Forced Induction section. There are so many threads on turbos for you to them go and make your own decision on what suits your requirements, budget and so on. Going a single = no chance for an engineers cert btw. Utterly impossible given it's a EPA issue.

My old PC setup = new media box. I want to do some post processing, run a 7.1 sound card & what configure the 1080p rips to my liking. If not - "Boxee" would be my choice, everyone i know is using one for basic home use, a very good/affordable choice.

DAFUQ? I talk to mine all the time. Growing up we all knew each other well in the street too!

ok cool, i wont have time in the next week but after that I'll get updated and have a crack

Rb30Det Awd Engine
R31Nismoid replied to Gts4RB30's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
But it is for everyone else and disrupts the chi around here. The section rules clearly state not to do it, so guess what, stop it. -
*raises hand Jacob (Div) is on there, as is Cozi (my bro). I've really gone off it actually to be honest from the BETA point of view. It was so limited during with mechs, weapon imbalance(s) and so on. A whole heap of features have been added over the past month (i've been reading the details notes each time) but I've been so busy with other things I didn't have enough time to do any testing justice. It took so long to grind out a XL380 engine for instance (5hrs easily) that it was just a painful kunt being reset each week and losing it. Made it really hard to experiment with the larger Mechs and varying builds that could ultilise speed. Also not having many friends to play with - there were a LOT of retards, more than any other game, who just didn't grasp the basic concepts of the game and mechanics. You'd get morons who'd run off along and get stomped by a group lol. Or jenners who wouldn't scout and just hang around with the Atlas or my Cata/Awesome LRM boat which totally defeated the concept of doing it and i ended up getting raped Concept is still awesome regardless and I think if we could organise a group and play together whilst on Team Speak it would be epically awesome with people playing their dedicated roles in the game and outfitting mechs to compliment a group purpose etc. Also the overall commander thing (not sure if thats in yet?), that concept will be great as well. Once they add planets, missions, proper clans/mercenaries the whole struggle for power - It will truly be a fking sensational game as that is where it will blow other current games out of the water from a overall involvement factor. I feel that is still long a while away however. If a few of you are keen to team up regularly then I'll make an effort to get on again, otherwise i'll stick to smashing master league in SC2 lol

Can't say I'd actually looked at any other prices lol... Old gen SSD = still a good choice for a media box. At under $100 for 120gb, that is perfect for what i want! Purchase time next week me thinks and finish it off

Ev's - R32 Gtr - Targa/sprint/hill Climb Build
R31Nismoid replied to 355GTS's topic in Motorsport Builds
Yeah I honestly think you trying to get rego will be a costly and fruitless excercise for no real purpose. It's hard enough to get a purely street car VASS & EPA approved let alone something far more out there. The difference? The price! They are better again according to those in the know, reflected in the price of course like everything. I had Bilstein front/Nismo rear - must say it was fail. Putting in the RP Teins improved the car so immensely (as well as front/rear diff & transfer case). I had the softer Tien setup (was Snowys old stuff), was really really good for Tarmac/Motorkhana stuff, up Mt Baw Baw it was really impressive and Chris agreed, he was dumb enough to sit in my passenger seat on a couple of runs hehe. Circuit ones use harder springs so guess its a choice one needs to make. I wish i had my car, and wish i was up @ Mt Baw Baw again thinking about it... Such a great weekend. Surprised you are going with modded stock arms rather than modded cusco ones if it's a dedicated track/tarmac car as you get more adjustability. I had stock modified fronts as it was still did predominately street work. -
That PSU is a farken brilliant price. Those SSDs are sold out lol, @ $90, would've been perfect for my media centre actually
-
Make sure you also change all the manifold studs. The reason the gasket has blown out is probably due to 1-2 of them breaking... And a couple more will probably break during manifold removal. So have all the studs changed out and never worry about it again

Ev's - R32 Gtr - Targa/sprint/hill Climb Build
R31Nismoid replied to 355GTS's topic in Motorsport Builds
Also totally unrelated. What are you doing for suspension? Going Racepace Tiens or all out with MCA? -

R31Nismoid replied to 355GTS's topic in Motorsport Builds
TL;DR version. You need to think all the other modification going on is not just related to the cage. Just get a rally rego/permit like everyone else. Full rego = not going to happen. If it does, you'll only end up seeing greif from Police who don't know better anyway. And then there is the EPA - exhaust noise over 90dB and all that other shit means you are f**ked before you start, even a Racepace 4" exhaust doesn't come under and it took a LOT of arse ache for us to get my 3.5" passed (back when Ben ran the shop, not Chris). TL version: You should be talking to a VASS signatory first, they always look at it in better light rather than you doing it as an after thought. Anyway VSI8 is very vague and has never been detailed in purpose and tells you to look at VSB14 and the LK8-10 codes. And the problem with VSB 14? Is the sections in bold: Users of VSB 14 need to be aware that this document needs to be used in conjunction with the appropriate administrative requirements of the jurisdiction in which they wish to either register a vehicle or to obtain approval for a modification for an already registered vehicle. Administrative requirements include, amongst other things, processes for vehicle registration, obtaining exemptions, obtaining modification approvals, vehicle inspections, preparation and submission of reports and the payment of appropriate fees and charges. If unsure of any of the requirements specified in VSB 14, or if more information is needed for any other issues concerning the administrative requirements, users should contact their relevant Registration Authority prior to commencing any work. Basically VicRoads and the DIT point fingers at each other VicRoads most certainly do have their own rules surrounding cages. I cannot think for the life of me what document it is in, I do remember having read it (along with a kunt load of other stuff over the years). However I know there were some changes about 18 months ago so perhaps with that the document has been pulled. Call up VicRoads. They have dedicated engineers that you can speak to and they will then be able to go into further detail, I've done it before. But as i said earlier the EPA stuff is what is going to bring you unstuck here on every corner. Full Emission testing will be required, and forget that, more cost than it's worth for the sake of over priced registration. If you still think you want to go through with it after talking to a VicRoads engineer - For a VASS i would highly reccommend Enkelman in Braeside. I've used them before as have other mates for some fairly modified cars. We knew the rules prior so modified accordingly and passed our inspections very easily. However none involved cages, but they are upfront guys and the better priced VASS signatories in Vic (some places will charge you really heavily for no valid reason).
