  1. Not so much balls, just good homework and business financials that we pulled apart (i'm in with 3 mates). One of those happens to be a really good accountant So ye, all covered on that side, he is doing the books lol
  2. So we have told you what you will get knocked back, if you go somewhere that knows. Would be logical to attend to it and then go to a RWC place, anywhere should do it.
  3. hehe you do it a lot, its good to read your posts Ye the 500rwkw was achieved with the old IT sensor trick, the MPH told the story on that one (it was way down).
  4. Yet... 1. You claim it has "low kms" - Where is the actual proof? And "i reckon" is not proof. 2. You are from VIC - yet the car had NSW plates on it? 3. It's obvious someone has taken to the plenum with a spray can - Why would low KM cars wouldn't require this? 4. The dash quite clearly has wear marks in unusual places - Need to bring up the low KM part again? 5. You also have been using the same IP as another user, who in the past has has trader issues associated Anyway the car is sold now, hopefully whoever purchased did their homework and had it properly inspected.
  5. Pretty sure it's like $3-4 from Coles for the 450ml bottle, last you years and also keep your dishes clean
  6. Aim is to have a single passenger session, as the last session of the day, that way all the good times have been laid down and drivers know the track (lots are interstate). Of course can't promise anything as it's weather & event dependant. So you'll only be able to take out a single person, and it'll be @ 80% or you get black flagged etc, you come in that's your session over. Still more than enough to have fun with No drifting this year, i do believe next year has that option being looked into however, among a couple of other things
  7. Just don't run more than stock boost as the extra capacity, 7psi on a 3ltr will be closer to 10psi - the ECU could well start having a bit of a hernia and going R&R on you as a result, so just be mindful of that if it does start acting a little strange if you load it up a bit. Obviously you'll get gains from a tune, and really you don't want to be putting a stock turbo back on there anyway. Will still run with a different turbo as long as it's not too big. I could get away with a GT30 on a RB25 driving arough light throttle (and stock everything else) till it was tuned
  8. ^ yep, it's about how the actual shock behaves that you need to worry about more than this camber quest IMO. Bilsteins in my two experiences with them, are not good for drag activities as they are quite hard and raising might not help all that much. If you go any higher the rear will be sitting even higher in the air and having the weight starting front heavy rather than at least even to transfer backwards.
  9. lol my restaurant will be 100+, and I'm front of house. Going to be fun times ahead, but then I've done it before a while back, should be right!
  10. More like: People going full aftermarket ECU's that don't have Nissan Cold Start in them, then tuners not spending proper time on Cold Start correctly. Tuning the car for power is the easy part, most tuners tend to just start off with a rough base type map, and adjust from there. It's getting the economy, cold start, return to idle, A/C load etc etc all takes a bit more than a couple of hours, and this is why good tunes actually cost a reasonable amount of money. Could also be the wrong plugs in the car as well. Side question, why only 290rwkw @ 15psi? Whole lotta lag for the power. You'd be better off with a 3076 and picking heaps more in the midrange.
  11. I heated up the glue & cleaned/dug most of the old stuff out and totally resealed it all. Maybe I didn't have too, not sure but i do know it wasn't going back in well at all (you need to heat back up again to reseal as the old glue hardens). I can't think of what was used to reseal it, i do know it came in a roll like Blutack, and just pressed it in, heated and pressed the cover back in. Then applied the clips
  12. Supplier as in hold a liquor license? You don't need to have a manager of an existing place to be able to apply and attain one (to open your own bottle-o for example)
  13. Pretty certain rose joint = instant fail. So any RWC is within their right to tell you it's not in a RW condition. Coilovers/suspension mods are ok as long as it retains a certain amount of travel. There is something listed on VicRoads website about modification under the Vehicle Standard Information (VSI). I forget what number VSI is was, it might be 8 or 12 off the top of my head. If the seat does not recline, instant fail as well unless you re-rego as a 2 seater and remove rear belts
  14. Ye a 45 is not factory for a R34, so hence everything you were told = not correct, as Ali has said. Anyway as part of compliance and what not there should be a tyre placard stating all of this on the car. Not sure then, how a proper tyre shop, would then get it wrong...
  15. RB25 ECU with RB25 head, will run ok in stock form. Wouldn't drive it hard or anything like that however
  16. The rumour around from a few places was that VicRoads were going to make it 30 years. Nothing more was said on that topic though and it goes back about 12-18months. So it'd probably have a transition "year" of '87 or something. Given nothing more has been published or anything one can only hope they realised it was a dumb idea from the start.
  17. Because Melbourne? In other news quit my job today. Anyone have a glorified PA role going?
  18. Well you are in luck, 240-280rwkw is well covered on this forum. Please use the search function, read the dyno threads etc etc. Thanks.
  19. All around the joints mate. Once you take off the metal clips - there is sealant around the entire frame where the headlight cover goes into the black plastic body
  20. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  21. Yes, plenty have done it. Just loop the piping around... Yes sometimes, just moved slightly. Nothing major A GT35 will push 400rwkw - so you'll need around $20,000 You need to factor in a motor rebuilda at some point - $8000 Clutch - 1400 Diff - 1500 Injectors - 900 ECU - 900-2500 (AFM or not $400) Coilpacks - 600 Cooler & piping - 800 Manifold / turbo / dump / gate - $4000-$4500 Decent Fuel setup (no, your walbro does not count) - $800 Then throw in the labour to do it all - $3000 That's actually over 20k already not counting any other issues/failures and regular servicing & maintenance. So remove whatever cost from that you've already purchased, and you have a reasonably idea of where you are at Don't even bother. You don't put a $2000 turbo onto a car, that makes 400rwkw - to put a $400 manifold on there.
  22. And a broken IT sensor
  23. Stop asking loaded questions Sean and just launch into it already
  24. Well it does. Revhead / Shell do it, when they gets time. We all have our roles here on the team. Be glad we offer you the option to change at all
  25. Only bad if the person doing the work, does not know what they are doing and farks it up. My post still stands dude, whatever you have "heard", forget it.
