  1. Yeah the "order" of the discs will be the challenging bit. No doubt trial/error to get the right combination, of which, there are many
  2. So the reason there MPH is down to mechanical issues there, easily explained and logical.
  3. I had a big post for ya and my internet died lol. Poop. Anyway I think fix the fuel pump and then see? It's pretty easy to do... IMO you should've run outta fuel before you got to 28psi. That's a LOT of pressure/flow needed outta the pump. Guys here on PULP have made ~370rwkw with a GT35 and stock RB25 head (around the 22psi marker). Then to get the 400 E85 and a bit more boost, and that's a smaller huffer and you really are running some good boost. I mean look it might be nothing, or maybe you'll find 30rwkw easy just getting the fuel it needs? Even something simple like dropping the exhaust at the dump/cat you might just pick up 30rwkw. Sometimes even with a little restriction a set-up can still perform very well, just not perfectly type thing. Obviously with head/cams etc you will potentially make more but something currently just doesn't sound right if you know what I mean? I'd be sorting the bits around it and checking a couple things first if you haven't already
  4. I'd say measure it first and then decide TBH, certainly won't be needing 100mm job though. Pretty easy to measure both temp and/or pressure drops after a couple runs up the rollers.
  5. Yeah but in GTS-t / GT-R land - There are so many results it's pretty easy to work it out where a car should be (say +/- 3/4mph). Some cars are like 10mph down (some are up lol), that ain't a result of a car that can't handle the power. Generally from what I've seen, if you have less traction you end up with slightly higher MPH - big more bragging rights at the pub isn't necessarily a bad thing lol Most R33 GTS-t owners with 300-340rwkw are around the ~127mph R33 GT-Rs with 300-340rwkw get around the ~124mph, if it's a R32 you're a little higher as you weigh less and so on. Of course it's never gonna be 100% accurate, but you can get in the ballpark. Same as when someone posts up their GT-R is making 370rwkw on -9s never got anymore than like 120mph... Result debunked, you didn't have 370rwkw! Not a chance. Then there was a 450rwkw 33 GT-R recently in NSW I saw that I think was like 124/125mph. Even without doing a big launch, something ain't right, it should be over 130mph easy.. Either it didn't have the power on the night or someone was singing hey diddle diddle in the dyno room
  6. What turbo setup? If stock or even mild (300rwkw or under) don't go 100mm... cause that's crazy. Measure your pre/post cooler temps first and THEN decide if you need to change it. Likely, you won't.
  7. I'm coming to spectate/cook/harras everyone, won't be racing this time round I don't reckon. Still a good w/e away!
  8. It's funny when the "400-500rwkw" street guys get asked what MPH they run, quite often it's FAR lower than what it should be. Proof is always in the pudding there
  9. If you have a GTX35 and only making 400-420rwkw though @ 27-28psi you've kinda got a problem... Assuming you are on E85 as well. Should be a bit more than that. A GT35 will do 400rwkw on E85 with that amount of boost. The GTX flows more air, it should be well past it and around 440rwkw or more. Could be a restriction somewhere or something else entirely. I'd be working out what is wrong first before going for more power/part changing.
  10. Do you have a gauge and is it showing torque being sent to the front etc? If not, likely bleeding issue - seems the most common. But yeah, if you haven't got the g sensors right (or even if they are not working) that can also cause it
  11. So you're basically taking a pot shot in the dark without any idea if you will actually get a gain, or not. You've truly got no idea and taking what is essentially a stab in the dark 'upgrade'. You're obviously one of those people who is going to do it their way no matter what so carry on with it and stop posting about it.
  12. Yeah soft and some plate swapping I believe so it's somewhere in the middle but still locks when needed. My rear still used to skip at low speed on smooth surfaces Transfer you won't believe lol. Such a great mod
  13. Front is VERY different to the rear though Paul. Probably less people than you have fingers on one hand I reckon! I'm waiting for Paul to get his car together and I'll come up for a Quaife beating as I'm really interested to see see what it's like compared to how my Nismo was (and I believe, they are both very different)... I think Paul you still have a Nismo rear year or did you go Quaife there too? Personally, I liked the Nismo (once it had run in after around 700km). It suited how I drove the car - But then I've never used a Quaife to decide on the merits of both overall. Anyway all the rest of the info is in the other thread which has quite a bit of info in it
  14. Yes I realise the leverage will change. Have you actually done any force calculations on it though to see just how much? Answer is likely, of course not.
  15. A larger disc won't give you stopping power. That comes down to piston surface area on the calipers themselves. You are simply altering the heat dissipation capacity, which means you can brake more times before fade. Some detailed testing can be found here: http://zeckhausen.com/Testing_Brakes.htm Yes its probably Stoptech sponsored but if you look at the 350Z Track vs Street model test results with different rotors/caliper between the two there is only marginal stopping performance but the key point is the HEAT differential is massive and that's from the rotor differences, not the caliper.
  16. How is the factory Sumitomo calliper better in quality to the Monobloc D2/ATTKD stuff, exactly?
  17. Entered. I'll either come with HSV or the more recent acquisition... Dunno which car yet, depends how competitive I'm feeling the day before

  20. Weekend of the 4th Oct gents, in Vic Long time friend of SAU - Import Monster - are behind the event again. Will have further details up over the course of the weekend/coming week
  21. You should be, they are not cheap but they do work. I had them also for 2 years, they were in Snowman's old ones. I did around 20,000kms of street/hill runs and then other stuff I did like Mt Baw Baw Sprint/Rally (closed road) and all the motorkhana stuff, Thunderdome etc etc. Performed amazing, everywhere. One point though is I opted for the softer spring rates in the rear (5kg vs 7kg/10kg) - the guys with just circuit in mind go harder... I found this made a massive difference for my use, bit more forgiveness was good. I came from Nismo S-tune, so granted they were never going to be as good simply due to the S-tune being one level and RP Tein on another (which is also reflected in the price).
  22. Exactly. No different to the NBN of $30b that was re-costed to be over $90b really because the initial NBN figures assumed every house would take it up - and that'll never happen. Same same whichever way you look at it. Different Gov't, same rubbish. Fact of life here in this country. Yeah the Harbour tunnel was also built how long ago? Oh yeah, like 1992. It's roughly 1.5km long. It's also tolls on it and is only two lanes - which are now absolute gridlock most of the time, if you've ever driven in it... It now needs to be 4 lanes each way, realistically. So add two more lanes and an extra 3km and 25 years of wages, insurance and every other f**king gov't group trying to justify their existence getting a piece of the pie with bullshit regulations and red tape... And voila. That's the cost of doing business in this over controlled joke of a state/country. Except there are two train lines to choose from. The Craigieburn or Epping lines which are at best a 15min drive away, or one could catch a bus to said stations. Mernda is a commuter suburb, you were always going to have to drive if you chose to live there and work CBD. A rail link to Doncaster or even the Airport link would both be needed before a train to Mernda. Airport link was was being discussed when i was growing up in the Western Suburbs so that puts it back to the 1990's... But then look at how badly Myki was f**ked up - this stage (irrespective of who is running it) - can't even get a basic f**king thing like a ticketing system working properly. How can you expect them to get an entire public transport system working properly? ----- My view is simple - all politics aside - the tunnel is needed to link ALL major arterials. If it doesn't get done now, when does it get done? How much will it cost then? Not only from a traffic/growth perspective but also a jobs one. The project was already under way. I know engineers who'd been working on the project for 12 months already. It's been replaced with what? Nothing... There is no replacement project of decent size that is ready to go. And the Western Distributor that's been proposed is going to cost $6b (near enough the same as stage 1 E-W Link) doesn't make a lot of sense. It's just an Eastern Freeway / Hoddle St ending all over again with dumping traffic on the CBD fringe and doing nothing to help it. Even widening the West Gate FWY - but not the actual bridge - What's the point of getting more cars to a bottleneck? There is absolutely need to fix public transport as well, agree with people there. Refer earlier comments about Myki for thoughts on that one. Politics these days is just about the 4 years. No bastard is properly planning for the next 20-30 years. We've got developments going up along all the train lines and major freeways with nothing being done to help said freeway/pub trans lines cope with the extra influx of people. The compound of this is people living in commuter suburbs are burning and will forever be burning. There are far more dangerous issues with that like house pricing in said areas long term etc etc but that's another discussion. It's all just a f**king cock jerk in state/federal politics right now.
