  1. lol that will slow em down
  2. Live streaming here, its pretty good! http://www.ustream.tv/channel/bathurst-12-hour Also natsoft has results here, updated every few minutes http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results....2/2010.MOUN.R14 as usual in prod car racing these days, there are evos everywhere.
  3. looks like you have a fun weekend ahead - I hope they let you get enough track time, they have a habit of happily cuttting support class time to allow more important things like grid walks and 1 car at a time qualifying. probably not such an issue over there because I guess there are less categories than usual
  4. your biggest issue with fitting the brembos on an r33 gtst is that they will make f**k all difference. the gtst has pretty good brakes standard. the brembos are pretty small for an upgrade. they are a very bad choice $$$ for buck. either work on your standard setup (lines, good fluid, good pads) or go for something much better like the g4/d2/ksport 8 piston gear
  5. yes and remember that rb20 or rb25 afms still max out at the same airflow...they just have larger cross section. you need to decide which problem you are trying to solve - restriction (get rb25 or rb20 ones) or outside the resolution/over 5v (get z32 or nismo ones)
  6. mine makes over 300 (just) on 550s.
  7. I love watching CNC machines work. But the real question is....what is the retail on a billet ally helmet, and how does it protect compared to a standard helmet
  8. ahh well...its not like its a surprise that it wouldn't be around for ever. This is exaclty why I entered the last race meet even thought hte car was not 100%...I just was not willing to miss the last chance to drive on the best track in NSW.
  9. hmm interesting event, but with my other club (combined touring cars) we have decided not to enter. Keeping in mind that is a genuine racing club there was too much concern about driving standards in that category. we may run a seperate support class instead but won't be entering the L2S event. and for what it's worth, personally I don't think there should be an L2S event at Bathurst. I understand the argument for regularity events at most tracks sort of, but not there. 40 cars on the track where the only requirement was filling in a form and sending in $100? It would not have been a big deal to require an "observed license test" for every driver and making them get a proper license.
  10. the only impact of a properly designed spacer is the increased load on the hub from leverage. And as said above that is exaclty the same as moving to a lower offset wheel. much more important is "hubcentric". basically a wheel stud's job is to clamp the wheel to the hub, not locate it correctly. You must have a "hubcentric" fit between the wheel and the hub, this means that the wheel should be held in the right place by the hub not by the wheel studs. If you can put the wheel on without wheel nuts and rotate it a little it is not hubcentric. basically a hub has a ring in the middle, and the wheel should be a tight fit on that. if you add a spacer it must fit snugly on the hub, and the wheel must be located on that as well. I have never seen a slip on spacer that has a hub ring to locate the wheel.
  11. lol they often do. for what it's worth the bush grease is perfect for the job. in fact pretty much any grease is ok for an o ring.
  12. leon did mine (met him thru here) and he did a great job at a competitive price. and had a few options so I could choose what suited me
  13. and if its wrong, and it does start...you will probably mash your valves the first time the motor spins. personally I would chuck them cam and get a new one. its not worth losing a motor over
  14. good choice....what is the size of the new bars vs stock size? generally a sway bar is by far the best performance for $$$ mod you can make. But I suspect the r35 already has enourmous sway bars, especially up front
  15. congrats, its great that a modified 35 gtr has caught up with a 21 year old R32
  16. Congrats on your season last year Stu, I hope you have as much success this year. You are the only person I know personally who won 2 Australian Championships in the same year, in fact I am willing to be yet are the only person in Aus who won 2 champs last year....
  17. you know....it really just sounds like a blown cooler pipe and incorrect compression test....are you sure you don't have a major boost leak somewhere?
  18. sure it will help with skids....just wont help it chirp second
  19. that's a shitload of metal for your money....good work Brad
  20. on here probably.....pretty much all of the race gtrs would be known either directly or indirectly. what are you looking to pay for the car?
  21. aint that the truth....I am willing to bet that the super taxis take over 95% of motorsport sponsorship $$ in Aus to a single category with 32 drivers. I reckon their time is over and its downhill for them these days.
  22. lol me? mine is forward facing plenum is that what you mean? in any case its back at the mechanic for its full boost tune now the run in is done. but it goes through the battery tray pretty close to the chasis rail in my case (need to move the washer bottle underneath). i guess it also depends on cooler width and the kit's piping?
  23. Interesting.....it is described in the article as: "It is understood Mr Scipione had just pulled up at a stop sign on Belmore Rd and turned right across the path of the couple's car." Now I may be out of date, but I thought police are called at any accident where there is estimated over $500 damage, or a personal injury. And that in each case at least one of the drivers would be charged with neg driving. This has certainly been the case in 2 accidents where I was charged with Neg Driving (imagine trying to disprove *that* charge in court when it is not defined anywhere on the NSW police or rta websites.
  24. No it didn't so I'm glad you asked!!!! the shifter goes to the transfer case, it takes auto trans fluid, and only about 1l. to refill the gearbox you need to use the filler on the side, underneath the car. I understand the 34 gtr box does not take regular gear oil either so check that out first.....
