  1. Didn't Motive DVD (A Hawkins) R32 equipped with highflowed -7's (360 odd KW @ 24 psi) do an 11 sec flat?
  2. GTR34A was for sale last year i remember. Car was driven in the Newcastle area back then. It isn't a Vspec, its a standard 34R with a Vspec2 hood and Vspec add ons.
  3. Like Commo to Chev badges?
  4. 'just buy a gts-t'.
  5. Saw a clean 33R drive past me the other day. I said to myself, Wow, I actually really dig the size and fatness of it. Really stood out and didn't seem to dated at all compared to the other cars on the road. Previous to owning the 34R i had the following Evo 7 R34 GTT S14 SSS Bluebird SR20 34R is so far the only car that I have not gotten bored of. Ever.
  6. I choose import. Generally get so much more from your money. Sucks the Aussie dollar is shit though
  7. Hahaha. Hydrolock is basically a motor breathing in water into the cylinders instead of air...............
  8. Gumtree has the car now listed as sold. Wonder if any new SAU'ers own a BB R34 R here??? Come out and speak!
  9. My opinion... Car looks a little rougher than what I would have expected.I'm basing this off my R34 GTR which now has 125000 kms. There is alot of steering wheel wear and interior blemishes that suggest its had a bit of a rough life. Car might have originated from a snowy area of Japan. A few rust spots where a car of that age generally wouldn't have. Cam covers are def quite 'used' compared to the majority of 34's I've seen
  10. I went through Iron Chef back in 2013. Best decision I ever made. Found a pristine example and price was spectacularly good compared to Australian cars on the market. 2.5 years on, 20 psi of boost (-7s 330rwkw) and 145 compression on all 6 http://www.fcautosource.com/SoldListingDetail.aspx?fcauto_id=10410&makemodel=1999_NISSAN_SKYLINE_GT-R%20VSPEC
  11. Agreed with the 34R comment. Have a look on Carsales - There are 17 BNR34's currently for sale, all averaging 50K plus.... Don't know where this rumor of them loosing value has come from
  12. hmmmmm, I want very much...
  13. Only so much you can do with a high HP car on the streets 'legally'
  14. Why don't you seek the advise from some respected importers known is Oz e.g Iron Chef. J Spec. JLM TBH your question won't get you a great response. How long is a piece of string? There are many factors that will influence price. Grade/condition of car. AUD to the YEN & importing cost. Dealer vs private. A car is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay.
  15. Cold enrichment below 50 deg Celsius. You running standard ECU or aftermarket?
  16. im using a Tridon. i think it's 77 degrees??
  17. Don't get me wrong, it still fits perfectly fine, but using the 32 pipe on the 34 meant i had to squeeze the rubber hosing a bit, and the fitment is very tight. So i'm guessing it will be the opposite for your car. I was surprised too. I put them side by side and was like, huh, well that's interesting.
  18. Actually, they are different in length. I know first hand. I have a 34R, and purchased an R32 twin turbo pipe to do the pipe mod. 32R pipe is about an inch longer from tail to tip than the 34
  19. Law of averages i recon.... Say 8000km per year on 99 R34 = roughly 128000km by 2015. I'd say that's a more believable average than 60xxxkm. P.S Edwardo Lees Edit... completely misread the question Mine had about an extra 15m's on the clock from dereg to my front door
  20. I've ended up using the Jaycar charger on a digital timer i bought from Bunnings. Turns on every 2nd day for 45 mins. Has been going good now from when i started this post. P.S i have an Optima battery too
  21. It's possible the NRMA have had many complaints. Received a new quote for $700 bucks today. Apart from my original phone call, I hadn't said anythng to them since except for taking my business elsewhere. Mabee they read this thread lol
  22. Actually just got off the phone with NRMA. Basically they said due to the number of claims they have had to pay out etc over the past financial year, and due to the type of insurance, the premiums have "gone up" Lady on the phone was shocked and surprised at how much it went up by... But she couldn't do anything for me even though i have other policies with them... Also called Shannon's, and there premium is still almost double that of NRMA..... Same with Just Car. 2k plus for someone over 30, as a weekend car
  23. Hmmmmmm. So after a year of VC insurance, i got my renewal. From $600 odd bucks last year, NOW $1133 !!!!!!!!!!! Nothing on my driving record has changed Will be calling NRMA to understand why the cost has gone up 2 fold. Anyone else up for renewal in the next few months?
  24. It's also listed as a V spec. MFD appears to say otherwise.
  25. ok ok, geez, chill out man.
