I think you'll find the owner of that R35 is also the owner of a known workshop. Same with the 34.... The owner used to own a prestige dealership. There is also a well known Youtube channel who happens to be in this video around the 34 too... By the way - this is all public knowledge, so I have not defamed or incriminated anyone here Go onto youtube - It will take you 5 seconds to work out that the people in this vid also own the vehicles/workshops

Yep, spot on. I'm not a perfect angel either (although i haven't lost any points on my licence in 7 years) There is a huge difference having a squirt in 2nd/ 3rd at the traffic light vs banging through 4th/5th/6th on a 1000HP car through the streets.

I love a fast Skyline, the noise, the spool, the aggressive lines, and yes, the speed too. But this video has a number of high profile workshops and Youtube stars that should be setting a better example for the community. We see them on the track, we see them in Youtube clips, and most subscribers of these channels are prob between 17-30yrs old. It's not rocket science for the cops to work out who these people are either..... Hell, they have workshop names plastered along the side of their cars. I think everyone has a bit of a play on the roads from time to time, but this goes too far. Mabee i'm old fashioned....

Street racing Hmmmmmm. What's people's view on this ( video link below). Good or bad for the scene?

I wonder what will happen in 25+ years (i'll be in my mid 50's then) when the oil runs out and we all sit as passengers in electric self driving cars :-)

OP mentioned a 50K a year income, and ontop of that a 30K loan. Not a very wise financial decision at all. You would have no social life or disposable income after what would most likely be a $500+ monthly loan repayment Plus other expenses - clothes/mobile phone/petrol/food/ etc etc Rego is 1K a year Insurance would be 3K + a year Do the maths and it's simply a bad idea.

The Grand Tour- 2016 Anyone watch the first ep of The Grand Tour? Chemistry between the 3 was great, production was great. Certainly a freshen up of the ageing TG platform. I did feel it was a little more "scripted" than what the 3 used to do. Felt more like their "live" shows. Is it better that the new TG? Yes, by a mile..

Sell 34R for something Euro?
djvoodoo replied to No Crust Racing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Getting some well built & matched coilovers. Will certainly change your perception of comfort in the 34. I have Tein Super Street's (Aussie modified versions) set 5 clicks from full soft. They are only a poofteenths harsher than my stock 04 Accord Euro on the street. Obviously prob not the best for track duties, but my car is 99% on the street. I previously had an Evo 7 with BC BR's, and it was still bone shaking on 8/6 kg spring rates. -
Arp Headstuds Rb26 (r32/r33/r34 - Gtr)
djvoodoo replied to livicuru's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
FYI - He sold them 1.5 years ago -
I'll let you sit in the passenger seat of my R. You can pay for the flight to Sydney and the taxi here.... Why don't you ask on GTR UK forums? Might be better than trying an Australian based forum... Just sayin....

So give or take, we'll say 82% duty cycle on 700cc is roughly 520-550 engine HP. At the wheels you'd be looking at mabee 420ish (or about 315rwkw) More to the point - What if the dyno reads quite low compared to what you are seeing max injector wise? Can they be compared? I'm guessing fuelling and how much fuel is dialled in at the top end is also a factor which can skew duty?. Lets just say i'm running about 11.5 to 11.8 in the top end AFR's. In more just curious at how many different ways you can calculate wheel HP other than just a dyno number.

Injector duty cycle to calculate rough power figure VS actual Dyno graph So, might seem like a dumb question. I know there is a formula for it... Just not sure which is correct. or the math.... If I am seeing a max injector duty cycle of 82% on 700cc injectors (Rb26 - base fuel pressure), in theory, can you compare this calculated HP figure to that of what the Dyno reads out? Would i say that 1cc = 1HP, so 0.82% of 700CC = 574HP Is that fairly accurate? # never was good at math's

RB26 Tomei Type R Cams - Results?
djvoodoo replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm making 180 RWKW at 100km/h. I'd say that's about on par with a 4ltr Barra motor :-)- 125 replies

RB26 Tomei Type R Cams - Results?
djvoodoo replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I want a mild cam, but not lose 25+ KW between the 75km-110km (3-4 ishkrpm zone) I guess my buying decision is based off the dyno results I've seen with those that run Type B, and figuring the Type R has the same lift, with almost stock duration. I can live with a few KW loss in the lower end as the -9 is really responsive anyway.- 125 replies

RB26 Tomei Type R Cams - Results?
djvoodoo replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have HKS GTSS (-9). Bloody responsive as hell. I.E I have 20psi by 3900rpm and 23psi (i have head studs) by about 4300rpm. Gained roughly 60 to 70KW in the low- mid range compared to my old -7 setup..... My exhaust is restricting me up top now :-( I plan on getting Type R cams sometime next year too...- 125 replies

Some truth in this, but also not entirely accurate. I.E- It costs money to put a car for sale on CarSales. It doesn't cost a cent to put a car for sale on a forum or FB etc. Therefor i'd say someone who is willing to spend money on CarSales would also be the type of person who has spent time/effort and money on their cars too.

I have a Gates racing belt on my 34R. Sounds very similar to the video you posted. As people have said, aftermarket (gates) are notoriously noisy. My Gates has been on the car now for 20 Thou K's. No issues

Advan TC2 - GTR size and offset
djvoodoo replied to djvoodoo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
SOLD: pending payment of course -
OK, For those of you who may have seen me post before.. I swapped a set of Panasport G7 wheels for these Advan TC2 wheels roughly 3 weeks ago. Now as I have some mechanical issues with my R that i want to sort out, I'm putting them up for sale so I can get shit sorted. Wheels: Silver Advan TC2 Size: 18 x 10.5 +15 offset Tyres: Yokohama DNA S drive - 265 x 35 x 18 (roughly 9mm of tread, i.e almost new) Price: 2K firm Location: Sydney Condition: In very good condition. Has only very tiny bits of gutter rash. The inner hubs are brushed alloy so you can see a few scratches on the alloy. 1 wheel has a sticky valve (would cost 50 bucks to fix, if that)

Fair call, 2 K isn't "expensive". I bought Advans 2 weeks ago, so i'm def not buying these. Just thought they looked really cool and they have been starting to go around the traps of late
