  8. Lol i'm sorry but I can't watch a Kai Greene vid after the whole grapefruit thing. The guy is an odd fella. Wendlers 5/3/1 program looks alright, pretty common sense based, and it's something I might look at doing down the track. No way am I going from starting strength to that though lol... Same lifts for low reps would drive me insane of boredom.

  11. Bench - 80 Full ROM Squat - 85 Dead - 120 All 5 reps, all very average. Never properly trained for strength before.

  14. Nah, It's all good because I'm not doing this program for as long as some other guys would. Hopefully by the time I wrap it up I'll only just be in struggle town to increase weights. Those figures are for 5 reps
  15. Cheers for the info. The gym I train at only has 1.25kg plates as the smallest unfortunately, so I'll see how I progress. Not quite drinking a gallon a day, but easily hitting a litre a day, and that's fine for now until I plateau. I'll be happy if I hit a 100kg bench, 120 full squat, and 140 dead by the end of summer. Aiming high for me personally.

Haven't yet had a good read through the link Dan sent me, but do you aim to increase your lifts by 2.5kg however many times you do them in the same week (try to increase squats by 2.5kg three times each week?), or 2.5kg for each lift 1 time per week? Wow that sounds confusing. For instance, I benched 80, 80, 80. Does this mean on friday I should aim for 82.5, or leave that until next week to do?
  18. nay, one doth not hoist with the force of a true man Thanks for the link. Had the first session tonight. It was very different to what I'm used to. Boring to me in a way, but I'm gonna stay open minded and stick with it.
  19. I just looked into it further and realised it's 3 sets at full working weight. A couple of warm up sets is fine, and this is what i'll do instead. Will take on board your advice though as I have crappy arm and calf genetics haha. Still going to do assistance work such as arms, core, and some rear and lateral delt work on the days in between as I feel it's very anterior delt heavy. Opinions on this?
  20. I have plenty of milk. Yeah I think i'll be increasing the volume a bit all around as I'm used to higher sets. Using it as a guide on what exercises to do on certain days though.
  21. Ok so i'm going to try Rippetoe's starting strength for the first time tonight. I'll be working at it for 6-8 weeks over this summer as I now have down time to sleep and eat a bit better now that my CIT course is finished. Lets see what sort of strength gains I can make...
  22. Sports Auto Group is the same dealership as All Imports. They are pushing forward the SAG dealer now in an attempt to start fresh it would seem, making youtube videos too in an attempt to appear "prestige".
  23. Lol. I said I hate them... never said I don't do them. Training legs twice a week currently. I think I have a better outlook on squats due to hating them.
  24. I hate all three... well, basketball isn't too bad I suppose.
