  1. Same here, I use Castrol Forumla R 10-60w by recommendation of my mechanic - and Ben uses it
  2. I don't see how having the car in gear helps you stop quicker... the best point so far is Geoffs saftey issue - if the engine stalls you'd have no brakes/steering.... As for the using less fuel using the gears to slow you down, interesting theory... may have to try it.. Usually if i'm coming up to a red light , i figure i'll just roll up to it and brake as i get closer to the line, the only bad thing about this is if it turns green again while im in neutral, i have to figure out what gear to put it in and put it back in gear.

  4. Yeah i agree with all thats said here, its not bad for the car... Geoff: how does putting it in neutral cause the car to stall? I understand if it did stall that would be very dangerous - but i've never had a car stall in neutral as far as i can remember.
  5. under 100mm with stock vspec suspension? I was under the impression that an R33 GTR Vspec had 135mm ground clearance, and a non vspec had 145mm ground clearance. have you measured it yourself? I can't imagine your car would have droped 30-40mm over the years?

  8. why do you roll in neutral down hills? only time i can think that you'd do that is to come to a stop, which some people say is bad, but brake pads are cheaper than a clutch It definatly won't harm your gearbox coasting - how can it? there is just no gear engaged.
  9. My STB was playing up on HD TEN (12) last night... kept getting blocks and stuff across the screen - only minor but still annoying, good to know its not my antenna/STB. As for these anti-hoon rules, yeah fair enough if they aren't abused then it should be ok, but I'm just worried about (as ash said) if you accelerate too hard of the line, or overtake etc... its the cops judgement 'that was hooning' there's no black and white, like with speeding - your over or your not, red light? it was red or not... but this anti-hoon stuff - its at their discretion, that's a bit worrying. I think the younger guys (P platers) will be the ones targeted, so at least being a 'little' bit older it may help.

  15. NXTIME: nope there are standard turbod GTR's (not hiflowed) running 11's - even more so in NZ for some reason....
  16. Ok looks the same as mine, except you have a switch installed in the center slot, and your missing hte GTR clip/badge from the right...
  17. Gearbox feels tight, never crunches - old one did sometimes, not very often, the syncros on it were still pretty good... but this one makes a whining noise, already given it back to nissan twice to fix, i think its time i ask for a brand new replacement!

  20. there was a guy on here with an R32 GTR std turbos/injectors etc.. that pulled 11.7's consistently... Personally my best as 12.4 but that was only on 5 or so runs then my gearbox went bang I think i could of got alot closer to a 12 flat.. track wasn't in the best condition and i couldn't launch right... exaust/filter/boost and cam gears tuned i make 260-280rwkw (depending on dyno) std turbos/injectors... I have pretty hard suspension and stuff setup more for track work than drag work.
  21. Roy i never hook full throttle straight from pit lane, usually put around for the first 1/4-1/2 lap and only go full stick on 2nd lap
  22. Mines the same as Tommyk's 2 coin slots on the passenger side, and a GTR badge (which just clips in) on the right
