  1. I would be very carefully checking out the history of the car before considering buying an import from a dealer.. make sure the KM are correct and it wasn't imported as a grade R and repaired. There are way to many dodgy imports sold by dealers. If you have the time to wait.. have a reputable importer find and import one for you!
  2. Nah.. VDC will be fine with the same size tyres all round, many people run that setup without issue. The VDC equipped sedans have the same size tyres and don't have issues.
  3. That produces a horrid sounding 'screaching', and is usually worse when you are braking. It is desinged to make noise when your brake pads are almost warn out. But that said, the noise could be brake related and might be worth having a mechanic check it out if you aren't up to the job yourself.
  4. Agreed.. I have KU36s on the front of mine and I am waiting for them to wear out.. I can't justify the cost of replacing tyres because they are noisy, but they are really getting irritating.. they seem to get louder the more they wear.
  5. The factory Bose system uses an amp. When replacing the factory HU, you need the correct interface to drive the Bose amp. Or you remove the whole system, fit the HU and wire in new speakers, with or without an aftermarket amp.
  6. ^^ yep.. if one of the smaller/lighter items is quite expensive, then ship it back while you are there if it will allow you to get under the $1000 for the remaining parts.
  7. there wouldn't be much difference in diameter between a 225/50 and a 245/45 tyre though
  8. talk to these guys - http://www.gslrallysport.com/ Depends if they are brembos or not.
  9. I would think if it was a manual, it wouldn't have a 'snow' button.. I would expect they would all have at least TC.. if also it has VDC, it will have a VDC off button somewhere.
  10. how much for the oil cooler gasket and rear wheel bearings?
  11. Agreed.. they aren't euro cars that trigger CELs for no reason.
  12. Isn't it supposed to do that? mine always has.. the airbag light stays on after starting the car until it has comleted all system checks.
  13. I am fairly sure the airbag light will clear after a certain number of 'ign on/off' cycles with no errors detected. I used this process which worked after fixing the wiring in the seat, before I had my Blazt cable. http://g35driver.com/forums/repairing-detailing-diy/163319-diy-airbag-reset-instructions-03-07-g35-coupe.html
  14. I don't. But you might need to specify.. coupe.. sedan.. Series 1/2. Are the S1 and S2 coupe bonnets different like they are on the sedan?
  15. I would expect they would have normal TC to catch wheelspin. But it is better to prevent wheel spin in low traction situations rather than using TC to recover from loss of traction.
  16. when I replaced my clutch, I used a small piece of timber on the body rails and put the body stands on that, just next to where the 'tie down' brackets are. In that spot they were out of the way enough for me to work. It can be a pain to have your body stands close to the suspension component you are trying to work on, and needing to get around the body stand all the time.
  17. The sensor is separate to the hose. It is in the hose fitting on the 'kick panel' end and should have a cable connected to it. The hose is just there to draw air over the sensor.
  18. usually the immobiliser will allow you to crank, but it won't fire. I would say a bad terminal/connector, or a bad starter.
  19. dash is the same, so it will fit.. but I wouldn't waste my money on a Metra unit. Buy a genuine double din facia. Just be grateful you have a Series1. the Series2 genuine DD facias are very hard to come by and Nissan don't make them anymore!
  20. But this is a DD engine.. so an injector that isn't closing fully isn't just going to have a 'run rich' issues like a non-direct injected engine.. you are going to end up with combustion pressures forcing their way through the leaking injector, back into the fuel rail and causing major issues overall, not just a fouled spark plug and poor economy.
  21. If it is anything like the sedan seats. you need to remove the whole seat so you can dismantle it.
  22. probably more like the 80s, but still.. hasn't been used in brake pads in a very long time. Just be careful.. if you have a series2, the front pads and all rotors are different to Series 1.
  23. Indeed.. as per the link.. it is an M35
  24. And that is probably a 370GT, not the 350GT.
