  1. ^^ yep.. if one of the smaller/lighter items is quite expensive, then ship it back while you are there if it will allow you to get under the $1000 for the remaining parts.
  2. there wouldn't be much difference in diameter between a 225/50 and a 245/45 tyre though
  3. talk to these guys - http://www.gslrallysport.com/ Depends if they are brembos or not.
  4. I would think if it was a manual, it wouldn't have a 'snow' button.. I would expect they would all have at least TC.. if also it has VDC, it will have a VDC off button somewhere.
  5. how much for the oil cooler gasket and rear wheel bearings?
  6. Agreed.. they aren't euro cars that trigger CELs for no reason.
  7. Isn't it supposed to do that? mine always has.. the airbag light stays on after starting the car until it has comleted all system checks.
  8. I am fairly sure the airbag light will clear after a certain number of 'ign on/off' cycles with no errors detected. I used this process which worked after fixing the wiring in the seat, before I had my Blazt cable. http://g35driver.com/forums/repairing-detailing-diy/163319-diy-airbag-reset-instructions-03-07-g35-coupe.html
  9. I don't. But you might need to specify.. coupe.. sedan.. Series 1/2. Are the S1 and S2 coupe bonnets different like they are on the sedan?
  10. I would expect they would have normal TC to catch wheelspin. But it is better to prevent wheel spin in low traction situations rather than using TC to recover from loss of traction.
  11. when I replaced my clutch, I used a small piece of timber on the body rails and put the body stands on that, just next to where the 'tie down' brackets are. In that spot they were out of the way enough for me to work. It can be a pain to have your body stands close to the suspension component you are trying to work on, and needing to get around the body stand all the time.
  12. The sensor is separate to the hose. It is in the hose fitting on the 'kick panel' end and should have a cable connected to it. The hose is just there to draw air over the sensor.
  13. usually the immobiliser will allow you to crank, but it won't fire. I would say a bad terminal/connector, or a bad starter.
  14. dash is the same, so it will fit.. but I wouldn't waste my money on a Metra unit. Buy a genuine double din facia. Just be grateful you have a Series1. the Series2 genuine DD facias are very hard to come by and Nissan don't make them anymore!
  15. But this is a DD engine.. so an injector that isn't closing fully isn't just going to have a 'run rich' issues like a non-direct injected engine.. you are going to end up with combustion pressures forcing their way through the leaking injector, back into the fuel rail and causing major issues overall, not just a fouled spark plug and poor economy.
  16. If it is anything like the sedan seats. you need to remove the whole seat so you can dismantle it.
  17. probably more like the 80s, but still.. hasn't been used in brake pads in a very long time. Just be careful.. if you have a series2, the front pads and all rotors are different to Series 1.
  18. Indeed.. as per the link.. it is an M35
  19. And that is probably a 370GT, not the 350GT.
  20. You would need to go against a 600cc sports bike that is actually trying.. you wouldn't have a chance!
  21. You are correct, the 206kw figure is only for the VQ35DE in the V35 and pre 2005 350Z. The V36 has the VQ35HR engine rated at 230KW and is therefore restricted for p-plate drivers.
  22. yep.. that reply encourages me to offer more assistance.... 'sarcasm off''... I think I am understanding why no-one replied in the other thread now..
  23. You just need to get to the antenna connector on the back of the HU.. and to a power source.
  24. Sounds about normal, when cold, my VQ35 shoots up to nearly 2,000rpm, quickly drops back to about 1,500rpm, then slowly drops down to 650rpm as it warms up. if it is already warm, it probably only peaks up to about 1,200rpm at start and drops back to 650 within about 5 seconds. I'm surprised a battery disconnect/reconnect helped, ECUs these days don't normally get amnesia that easily..
