Just to add fuel to the fire.Boost controllers are illegal on any car other than off road,right.So why do they have them listed as an insureable mod?

ffs i do hope so. So every thing else is covered right all except the illegal parts on the car. Not what i was told.She said that any illegal modifycation no matter how little will make the insurance void and the payment withheld. So the car was a writeoff because of the ''illegal mod'' they wont cover.Then this is grounds for no payment to me.It just doesnt sound right that so many skyliners on here get arround in a car that they think is insured but really wont be when it comes time to payup from the insurer all because of the 19'' mags they bought for the car altered the cars handelling and braking perrformance. If it were llike this then many of us wouldnt be getting their cars in the first place.You buy these cars in the hope that you can mod it for more performance and have it insured full comp at the same time. I think you better get back on the phone and sort this out with them.As i am definently going to try again and see if i can get a straight answer out of them.

I just got off the phone to just car and they said that the car must be fully engineered/legal for the parts it has on their policy that i tick as having on the car. And any claim that i make,if a single part is found not legal they will void cover for the whole car. Does any1 know any compaies that allow for modifycation and pay up regardless of it's leaglity on the road?

The unit is in the boot on the right hand side of the light.Check that it doesnt allready have a hicas electronic lock allready installed. With these the hicas light will stay on but dissables the hicas alltogether coupled with some shims for the hicas arms to stop it from floating willie nillie.

Hey Bass.Do they sit good on aftermarket front bars. My bar is aftermarket and the headlight is missing the plastic mounts that the stock grille usually sits on.And because of that there really is no place for the front of the deflector to sit. Would it be easy to make a mount for one of these myself??

Charges per mod are arround $30. Try an engineer Who is certified by the rta.Otherwise i think,You may have troubles getting the car passed by the garage and rta. You can get the list of engineers from the rta website in pdf.Just use the search button.

Bo hoo hoo i lost mummys car in the itty water.Lol. He downshifted/ or poped the clutch mid cnr,but only after the car was allready in a slide,which was probably started from the wrong gear selection and not enuff brake in the first place. Yes the shi7 rubber just doesnt cut the mustard.You can get them to hold in for a lap or 2 but after that you are figting it for grip. Want to try the toyo T1-R's They are cheaper than potenza's.

Really like the rims mate.The bronze really accentuates the black of the car. Yeah the nankangs and their bad reputation were only backed up when i was driving the car to the engineers the other day.I accelerated moderate/hard and they wanted to brake traction (255/17's). Then on the way home,and with ziex 326's (235/17's) on the fronts,the lights changed yellow so i put my foot down and was coming in quick put my foot on the brake and They wanted to skid/chirp rather than grip,then understeer a bit. Not a track tire imo really only good for compliance and people on a budget. Hopefully i will be cruising in the next few weeks and i will be able to put some faces to names.

I want to know where people are pop riveting their modifycation placard to their chassie.Their are a few places that i can see but they are thick steel.I dont realy want to drill into that but if i have to as a last resort i have to. Thanks in advance.

I drove with a broken hand and in a cast.I was 18 and on my P's.It was allright then.An auto would be the best.

You know you can tell it's an r33 because of the bootlid.Still has the holes.Youd think whoever had it last would get rid of the holes.

The ziex arnt a performance tyre.They are a putting arround on tyre.But they wouldnt be the cause of your wheel shake.More like wheel balance/alignment.

It's illegal to drive without a washer bottle connected to the squirters.Was told by an engineer. Throttle bodys.Arnt people buying the ford ones.Couldnt say what one though.
