I would say a surge tank is a necessity even on a tuned 26 with good rubber. All it takes is one fuel starvation event and your engine is gone. Not worth the risk to be honest. -

I suggest to get this sorted before you take it again, not nice play Russian roulette with a new motor....... -
Hey Roy, thank you for the accuracy of the description of the clutch and the promptness of delivery. Pleasure purchasing from you. Much appreciated.

Nah I drive my cars pretty hard so seeing the oil is 80 dollars for 10 litres I drop it often. A bit anal I suppose.

I agree, can't fault this oil. Been using HPR DIESEL 15 for nearly 7 years.

So do I, but it's a drag car not a street car. -

Exactly the same as a tubbed 120y with a Sb chev , 2 speed power glide and 9 inch doing 9s. No difference -

Not a street gtr at all, as suggested. Actually not even a gtr with an auto in it. What a load of crap . It's a drag car. The 26 stroker sounded much better then the vl block. -
A friend of mine modded one with a windows motor. But you can pull it a part and manually move it.

I think what you are finally learning is that the sum of all parts is what's important, not just the engine. -
Been running varex on my cars for 8 years. Never had a problem. Best thing since sliced bread. On my chubby with cams with big overlap and twin 2.5 inch it would kill the v8 burble where you would think it was a vk 202 vacuum cleaner. Currently on my 33gtr -5s with biggish cams, straight through 3.5 inch mild steel and only the varex cannon. When it's closes quiet as a mouse. Been through many booze buses and not even an eyebrow raised. When it's open there is zero back pressure and the turbos spool up faster than anything else you possible fabricate that would be close to legal. I have had 4 different combinations on my 33 and nothing even comes close to this varex set up.

Surely they could give you the option... That pretty weak. I am sure can do something, get some legal advice maybe.

R33 GTR owner don't really worry about all this shit. We know they are the best in every way. So we don't sell them. We just enjoy the beautiful curves, the sleak lines, the aggressive stance, the better performance, and they are much nicer to drive...... and of course they were the fastest out of all of them. Hopefully all the others get sold to the US ....... Less ugliness on Aussie roads.

Good thing about penrite is that it has always been high in zinc. Cold viscosity is an issue with thicker oils but really the choice should be based on the level of protection at maximum stress, ie very high temps and high rpm . Speaking of additives, have seen slick50 used in the past and been impressed with the oil analysis that came back, given a lot of these were on chevys, but still a notable difference was seen in the wear particles.

If they can prove that it is controlled from the cabin I believe. Needs to be able to easily change the noise emitted from the vehicle.
