how much IDLE??

just got my car and it hasnt been tuned yet and yet its idleing at 1000 - 1200 rpm when its warm....is this normal because it seems my fuel economy isnt too good and i think this might be one of the problems...

Just wondering at what idle most of you skyliners are hitting when the car is warm.

Well skylines draw a bit of petrol.. you can't avoid that.

Mine sits on about 800rpm quite happily at idle.

I was thinking of bumping it up so its not revving up so much to start the turbo spooling a bit earlier. Anybody know whether this is a good idea?

Which particular 'line? Apparently, 32 Rs can develop a problem of idling high.

Mine (32 GTS4) idles nicely around 650 - 700. You can adjust the idle by fiddling the screw in the base (drivers side) of the AAC valve (located at the back of the plenum chamber (on GTSs)

ive got an r33 and just think that it idles too high....

i want to sit on an idle that is comfortable for the car

mine idles at 500-550 happily

mine idles at 1000-1200 when cold...drops down to constant 800 after warmed up.

u dont drive with the aircon on do u??.......hehe

I had that same problem.... It disappeared after a drive on Paramatta Rd sydney, Third gear 3000rpm.....60kph

dont know how, dont know why, it just did.....

but if it does it again, im going to the mechanic and put it on the diagnostic

R32 have a very rich idle circuit dont worrie to much about the high idle its most likely no problem

i do notice a big differance when it comes off cold start its very noticable
