J@y this is what I did and was recommended to do:

- Check tyre pressures.

- Check/change brake pads

- Change brake fluid

- Change oil + filter

- Check all fluid levels, and bring spare engine oil and coolant also.

- Get rid of all the crap that moves around inside the car - empty the boot, lose the spare.

- Buy a helmet.

- Dont have the fuel tank 100% full as they leak fuel a lot of the time. Buy a $20 jerry can and fill it up with petrol, then fill the car up 1/2 or 3/4 and keep the jerry can with your stuff in the pits.

- Take a foot air pump (for tyres).

- Make sure car is balanced/aligned well

- Fire extinguisher

1. Tyre pressures i suppose is 36 psi ??

2-4. I am not realli a techno kinda person. Only knows how to drive. No time to go visit a mech to check things out too. (fingers crossed that my car will be able to withstand the trashing)

5. Hmm.. impt point. Being a lazy bastard, i realli have tons of stuff in my car. No wonder my fuel consumption is a bit on the high side.

6. Going to grab one on friday. Maybe the lane cove place ya guys recommeded.

7. If i run below quater tank, is there a fuel station nearby or on site?

Hmmm .. cant wait for monday to come. BTW, left a msg on aaron's mobile. He has still yet to call back yet.

Cheers

Jay

Richard - PN SENT dude!!

EDIT - I AM 100% interested taking your spot, or is there a free one available?

EDIT just spoke with Aaron and he couldnt confirm #'s but he said i should be good to come along? So do i just fill in the form and send it away?

Wat number do ya guys call to get to aaron.

Called the one on this thread but seems like its always off and he is yet to return mi calls?

I called that number left a message and someone got back to me the next day

OK Thats 11 people paid and 6 people commited and not paid.

The weather is perfect turbo weather max 19deg and mostly sunny

If anyone has any last min questions or issues please call myself or Aaron.

My number is 0402847826.

Should be a great day, see you all out there

I trust everyone had a good time, pissed about the rear pads being gone and missing out on the 8 lap race, at least I got to do the first one, but there might be another time.

I hope Aaron continues to run these events and I hope we continue to support him as a club.

I would have thought that if we (as a club) did not attend today, it would almost have been his last. There were only about 10 other non SAU people there? 4 x fords, 2 x box's, 2 x race cars, the NSX, M3 and STI. I think we had 14 cars turn up.

It was a good day all round, and thanks for everyone who got out and had a go. If we keep the number up perhaps we will continue to have someone run these days.

Paul thanks for organising this - most fun day I've ever had in my car and I learnt so much with Aaron guiding me around.

Here are some photos I took:

Nathan took both cars drunkan. Think he enjoyed the KC more - he can drive the bloody thing too. I reckon it has to be the best track day I've done. Last track day I did at OP I did 68km, today 286km. The 2 races were the best fun, gets the adrenalin pumping.

Thanks for organising Paul....

I'll sleep well tonight.

yep it was a top day. I was a bit shakey after staying up till near 2 after the F1 last night, the up at 6:45... We rocked up late with the alfa but still managed around 100 laps too. I am absolutely wiped after a few post day beers at narrellan, then we stopped on the way home near badgerys creek for a 6 pack, then picked up another near home, had some beers and dinner, and i just got home 5 minutes ago. it's been a long, long day and i'm shattered now. Our car went flawlessly today which was unfortunately more than i can say for a few of the GTRs out, they were dropping like flies, plus there were more of them in the carpark not out there. damn shame.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
