Who was the other guy with the white 34 running slicks, no interior and no LH headlight? What times did he run?

that was "ADDICTED2R34'S"

not sure of his best time, but i know he got a low 13...something like 13.4 maybe....then he did a gearbox

hehe I spoke with Interloper on Wednesday night when he was having his car tuned and I must have cursed him as he didn't make the day to race his car. Sorry!

lol, thats right Paul i blame you for my no show :D

Bring on the next one! :P

my bad :(

so its all tuned and running sweet now or more work ?

nah, Sam only got back from tassie today and the software need to be sent back to the guy who wrote it for some changes......anyway Sams pretty busy this week as he's going tuning to Adelaide on thursday for 5 days so i'll just have to wait....

Spewing my car wasnt ready for this one, cant wait for the next one. Whats the chances of having one at the end of the year?

Due to overwhelming demand both here and WRX

I will organise one... but you'll need to be a member Daz

Same as this one

This wont be the "formal challenge" as thats only one a year.

But ill think of something to jazz it up with

I just wanted to send a big thank you not only to the organisers but to everyone that attended. There weren't any idiots ruining it and everyone had such a positive attitude, it made my first time down the magical 1/4 simple and enjoyable. I can see why people say it's so addictive.

I know I wasn't setting the fastest times out there but I was thrilled to just get out there and compete, hell I only won 2 races (for one of them, the WRX I was racing popped out of first gear). I was stoked just to get into the 14's on my first ever attempt at drag racing. And that was in a heavy 4 door with standard turbo and no front mount! I still think I can do better as my trap speeds were up to 99mph.

I look forward to next week when we can see exactly what power we've got.

Ah, you're the guy that I met first thing in the morning

Nice to meet ya!

It was a great day. Thanks for organising it all Paul and Co. Not only was it a good from a driver view, it was just as fun from a spectator. The only gripe I have, is that Heathcote didn't let us continue with the BBQ, due to "Heath and Safety Reasons"…. The Ladies running the canteen weren't even wearing gloves, whilst handling my food!

At the end of the day, I was happy with my best time of 14.7 @ 94.6mph. Such a low terminal speed. I couldn't break over 95mph. So very happy to be in the mid 14's.

yer that was me iam getting a retrim done should have it back soon  yer i got a lots of 13s cant meber what but best that i do is 13.7 at 107mph my take off is really shit diff is like a basketball bounce i riped it out tonight the boxs itS Fu*ked bad i thkinck off posting pics of it as my diff is aslo gone YESSS new ls now  should all be done in a couple of months include full respray and that i let yous now i post a topic if yous wont pics of box diff ,respray ect????

I vote calder park one night

we can book the inner field track for our use so we dont have to line up and sit around with random goonies all night

Calder Park - no go.

They are not club-friendly.

If you book the side lane you will not get "more" runs than any other friday night. So max of 2-3 runs.

Heathcote pricing is realistic, and far offsets the 1.5hour drive and fuel by $40 runs and $10 spectator.

Calder wants $50 to race, $20 spectate, if you get your own "lane" as i said you will get limited runs.

You wont get 10+ runs like heathcote by any means.

    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
