lets vote for SAUQLD club to make the payment for SKA'S fuel then

*sigh* it wouldn't be a thread in Qld if there wasn't a bizarre comment from someone...

I just wanna see Cy again, so i'm donating $10!

Read further Ska!! There is a lot more fuel/flight money in here!!

Yeah :nyaanyaa: I hit the reply button prematurly, I saw you started reading the thread and got all hot & wet then it just happened!

Ill give cyrus a hug and a hot pie... (He makes enough money to buy fuel, he just does not eat enough, skinny bastard)

I am sooo spewin that I am not down there, and totally didnt expect everyone to "donate" petrol money in the thread I dont expect you guys to pay for me, I really am touched and miss everyone down there. I wish I was as harcore as Squizz, you know he drove all the from up here down there just for a cruise! That is dedication!

Smooth, could you PM me how long are we talking about before this happens and what night is it going to be happening?

I cant make any promises, but with a wife and two kids, needless to say I have better things to spend ~$300 on then a trip to brisbane right at this point in time. We are currently paying off a vet bill that will allow him to buy his own 747 jet because our cat was hit by a car and didnt die. Also we are looking at buying a house, so really need every penny we can for a deposit.

I am sure you out-do yourself once again, and if I definatly cant make it I hope everyone has a blast and vents all this backstabbing shit and do exactly what you said, no polictics, no backstabbing, no shit, just good times, and great freinds!

Cy

And I support any R33skyliner non-attendance!! The boy is a cop magnet with his antics!!

ive done worse im sure of it. this one time, i was thrown outta murwilumbah and told if i ever came back id be locked up... boy that was a fun night!

lol

yes matt lets get a date on this, im hell keen

btw cy all im hearing is "im soft, im weak and hows my violin skills dial 1800 weak sauce"

it would be good to see ya down but if ya cant make it its understandable, the cost of fuel these days is stupid and that doesnt even come close to covering my feelings about it.

LOL @ Weak-Sauce comment.

I'm so in on this one. Happy memories of happier times. Might not be in Bris much longer so i'm so in on this one before i leave.

Nick

I only have a track Skyline now, the 4 door has a new owner. If I can turn up in my Range Rover (modified ...of course) it would be good to see some of you guys (and gals) again.

I don't know about giving petrol money to Cyrus.....every time he gets fuel in that Stagea of his....he goes out and mutilates it!!....oh well what are friends for...I'll put up $5 :)

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
