That's hot man but your front bar looks warped?

What sizes and offsets are those wheels?

Yeah it is a bit, looks worse because the photo is shot pretty low. Brought two of them for $250 and sold one for $400 so I'm not to fussed.

The wheels are:

Rear - 18x9.5 +18 215/40

Front - 18x9 +13 215/40

took a couple shots this arvo and tonight, heres a few i mucked around with. Hard trying to get them looking nice without going too far :S, not sure if i did or not.

I included a few of the crappy night shots so i can get some advice

oo very nice!

How did you get your black paint so shiny in the first pic?

I can't believe you managed to stretch 215's onto a 9.5" rim. No tyre shop I know would do that and I know people that work at one!!

I was running 215/40/R17 on the front of my XD9s which were 17 x 9.5 + 17 and 225/40/R18 on the rear 18 x 10 + 18

Some serious stretch

Here's a couple shots of how the wheels sit and tyre stretch, still need to sort front and rear camber. Was running 225/40 before these but they were rubbing quite a bit, might just be the design of the tyre there might be a 225/40 out there that fits a little better.

what size and offset on those rims? look tuff!

Front - 18x9 +13

Rear - 18x9.5 +18

You should be able to get away with that on the back

I had 18 x 10 + 18 on the back of my R32 with 235/40 tyres. The inner lip on the guard was rolled and we slightly pumped/flared the whole guard, not to much but just enough to tuck the wheel under

Fron't I had 17 x 9.5 + 17 with a 235/40 tyre and same deal, guard liner removed with the inner lip rolled and guard slighly pumped/flared

Man, you guys all freak me out with the size wheels you are jamming in under the GTSts. I want to run a 9.5" , maybe 10" rear but only because i want to run a 265 rear tyre

Anyway, the car has 9" +20 offset which should be doable and when the guards have been pumped for that sized rim i should be able to get a 9.5" + 36 on the rear aand run 255 tyres.

Is anyone running wide rims with decent sized rubber?

    • This sounds like someone who would have owned an R33 in their past... It's okay, I'm 100% picking up what you're putting down Mark.
    • Just back on what was raised about jacking off the the tow/tie down point on the front of cars. I've used it plenty. I've also watched it on a car where you could see it move the front end of the car. It was like the front end/whole car being tweaked and twisted a bit. I will say, I struggle to find good jacking points on MOST cars. The ones that have good points, I then normally struggle to find a jack tall enough to make the car change height!   One of my go to points for either the jack, or the axel stands though, is either a suspension pickup point, OR a subframe to chassis major bolting point. I actually think its the subframe on my R33 that has a bit of a bend in it, from being jacked in the middle too. However, it could have been one of my many other cars I've had over the years! Or it could also be the from me jacking it up, and the fact the top of the front radiator support isn't there, so it can allow the front of the car to move and bend etc.
    • My apologies. I forgot we were talking about weird beard M series stuff. Had been talking elsewhere with someone about an R33 with similar subject and got confused.
    • Nope, I don't like the look of ND RF, or any ND really, I don't like their faces or arses, why, because of their "modern" lines, the NC, whilst "modernish" has a more rounded shape that I like Well, that's how my overly judgemental eyes see it anyway
    • Should be more than fine, especially the overall fuel pressure would never exceed 3.5bar (assuming that thing never gets more than 0.5bar of boost in stock form). According to the chart, it's 11amps.
