mate at work has a white 98 40th annversary, it also has that on the seats? do all 40th anniversary r33's have that written on the seats or was it another option? :)

its a small badge stitched on....that and the badges on the rear pillars are the only real visual things to tell a 40th anniv...but the only real way to check is with FAST

hehe soz m8 was outta town for a few days....as i said ill have to wait to see whats left in the kitty after chrissy, b4 i decide wether or not to keep the wheels....as there are a few more bolt ons im gunna try to get first, but your first in line when i get rid of them :)

And on another topic, i personally think all Skylines in all their diff shapes, colours and styles r perfect just the way they are...(If the owner is happy with it... so am i)

For instance if everyones cars were built and fitted the way i think a Skyline should be...how boring would that be? damm :) .

We should b thankful that we have such a large selection of parts interior/exterior ect to choose from, and guys willing to try them, to give their ride some kind of individuality.

besides that... there is nothing worse than ordering a cosmetic part you havnt seen in the flesh, or on another car of similar model...waiting for what seems like forever to get it, ripping open the box and fitting it just to relise it looks like shyt lol.

So yeh.. to all the guys that have taken the time out to post up their rides, i think they are all awsome

Keep'em coming.

dam that was a dribble fest and a half lol

thank you very much u said it all mate

lol they are confused Iraqi's.. Assyria dont exist, well it has been wiped out of the map some 1500yrs ago lolll

looks like some one knows thier history but ey i'm a living proof that ASSYRIANS do exist but lets just drop it coz it has nothing to do with skylines..

btw 2BNVS very nice liner bro well done

I know..I own one...its not hard to remove the badges, and i've contemplated taking them off..

Links also owns a 40th anniv. model and has no badges, obviously the previous owner removed them...

I saw the front bar, which is an optional bar available on the 40th anniv. R33's and closed the pics..didnt look at the lights or bonnet...Someone has obviously got hold of the bar (which is quite rare) and put it on an S1.

Definitely not a 40th anniversary model, but the bar is the MR bar which was available as an option on the 1998 40th anniversary R33's, as mentioned above. They don't all have it, just depends if the buyer ticked that option box...Its quite a rare bar though...Links' has it on his, and another member on here had it, but smashed and replaced it with the standard S2 bar + lip, which is porn

Yeah I didn't think mine was anything special. I will have to look after the front bar then. Its all plastic too not fibre. hmm maybe i shouldn't butcher the front bar when putting the front mount in. what ya think.

you could sell it for a fair bit i'd say..being plastic and all...

I was looking at photos of it on a few cars, and although I like it...it really doesnt look very front mount intercooler friendly...where as the standard S2 bar is, and when I get the lip fitted one day it'll look a lot more agressive

Does anyone have and ideas on how much these type of plastic front bars would cost or sell for. Yeah i don't really want to butcher it if i can. but to get a cooler in there i am gunna have to butcher something.

I will put my sedan in for something a little different :P

Hey, thanks. S2 sedans are definately the go. I actually had a silver one but lost that in a separation. When I sold my GTR I just had to have another one, the extra 2 doors and the extra boot space in the S2 sedan can't be beaten! I love the rims on your car, the rears look huge!

Mods are centred around suspension mainly for my track work -

Sydneykids' group buy bilstein shocks, whiteline springs, pineapples and adjustable swaybars

Cusco adj rear camber arm, adj caster rods, tension rod and 1-way diff

Nismo front strut with brake cyliner stopper

Hawke Pads front and rear

DBA slotted 4000 series front rotors

Road rims - Nismo LM GT2 rims 17x8, 17x9

Track rims - Volk Racing GTP 17x8, 17x9

turbotech boost controller set to 10psi

100mm thick SMIC with custom shroud

13 row oil cooler

K&N panel filter

CES front pipe, 3" metal cat and kakimoto cat back

and a set of Bride reclinables on the way.

    • haha this shit box doesn't drink coolant, for now       Let me guess, they make heaps of power, use the car for straight line driving and don't care about noise

    • Hello everyone. I've recently started the research into R34 GTR front bits and running into eye watering prices. On the plus site it looks like some places make 'replacement' fender liners for these cars. At eye-watering-but-less than stock prices. I also noticed there's plenty of diffuser options available too. What I would like to know is if my following assumptions are correct. 1) The OEM guard liners are actually only 'half' the liner. They go together with the OEM brake vents which are a separate item which looks to be quite a large 'panel' that is part of the liner. The GTR bumper has bolt holes along the front. I assume the ones in the vent correspond to the ones the OEM liner does not have (circled?)   2) The V-Spec front diffuser supplants the brake ducts in the above item. I am assuming these still work with the guard liners as there's no alternate part that I'm aware of. I don't see how they go together, so I'm making the assumption that they have to, somehow. I know the center splash guard is different on the V-Spec (and is the price of the damn diffuser alone). How does the liner interact with this? 3) There's alternate front diffusers that do away with it all. Annoyingly, a lot of the clones and CF different ones... have no brake ducts on them. I like the idea of them though. My brakes get hot on the track. These alternate diffusers are a lot cheaper than plastic splash guards. I'm assuming you don't have to/aren't supposed to remove guard liners to run a diffuser. I suspect that quite a few people actually do not run the guard liner because with a front undertray you're getting a lot of 'splash' guarding anyway, and most people remove liners given they're probably running a pretty aggressive setup with a diffuser at the front. It would also be nice to know if anyone has ever run the 'reproduction' guard liners and know whether the fitment is OEM quality or "OEM Quality". Example: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/356254671561 https://carbonetics.net/products/nissan-skyline-r34-gtr-plastic-front-wheel-arch-set Is this knowledge still around?
    • Really, effort is pretty low. You hand fistfuls of cash over to someone else and pick it up when done...   And at least this shitbox isn't drinking coolant right?
    • And most chargers that most DIY people own would put bugger all power back into the battery between cylinders. I've always done it with jumper packs/second battery connected. And that's on any car.   Because race car, and wanting the lightness.  At least in an R33, putting a bigger battery in can at least help shift the weight balance backwards
