Seriously now, given the cars you drive you should all really know where you can and can't park your Skyline.

EG:

NOT Belconnen Mall

NOT CIT Reid Carpark

NOT in the horrendously small car spaces at KFC in Phillip (where JB used to be, no real point in going to that place anymore now though.)

I hate it when the light goes green and the vehicle at the front is a TRUCK and moves through the fcking intersection soooo SLOWLY that it ends up being the ONLY one that makes it through and the rest of us have to wait for another whole traffic light change over.

Especially when you're LATE!!! :D

I farking HATE using your run about, for 6 years = no worry's around CBR.. then soon as you jet to Syd... it over heats and DIE's on the way to Eastern Creek Go Karts!!???

bollocks this.. im drunk now, but will fill this in with detail in t he morning.. im fargin pissed off!!!

Ok, the gist of it all

Drove my run about laser to Sydney. Driven every day for 7 years, so surely it'll survive a trip to Syd yah?

Got to mates place drank till I saw pixxies (not too long in Syd haha - bad joke)

Woke up late, watched F1 testing, and qualifying assisted with beer, whisky and pizza at 9am - good times.... until we decided to go Go Karting in Eastern Creek.. fastest karts in Australia supposedly, average of 60km/h!

Anyway, was like 37 degrees, idling in traffic.. poor laser didn't like that.. so overheated.. pulled off into side street, let sit for a little while, took rad cap off, jimmied bottles outa a recycling bin close by... got some water from the front of a medical centre...

Then the little wire fell off the temp sender. I thought to myself, i don't want to be driving a car around Sydney, not knowing temps...

So im trying to fish the tab back into the sender. Theres was never really any chance; imagine if you used a rivet gun to attached two panels together. Ok, one panel rips away from the other... i was trying to effective, push the rivet, back through the ripped hole.... in between the exhaust pipe (not running in cold mode) and a coolant line (not cool)

Ok, so wasn't working, drinking with my wang would have been easier, so scavenge in my car for tools. Garbage - check, cigg butts - check, dead Ethiopian hitch hiker i picked up last week and forgot about - check... but no damm tools! So with my trusty car jack handle, i start fishing around the engine trying to get leverage to push afore mentioned tab, back onto the rivet.. no chance - slike a 2foot metal pole in my engine bay, i ain't an Aboriginal bush (street?) mechanic, getting greasy on my new Levis ain't my deal. Swearing, whining and wee'ing.. thats my thing, gota feckin Diploma in gravity drained body systems and a partial doctorate / master in bitchen bout my government.

Ok where was I... oh yah. My hand literally bumps this coolant line, with just with no noise.. no jerk, essentially FALLS OFF the engine. FALLS OFF... .. ... "righttt" im thinking..

A mate finds me some of those adjustable pliers, and im using it to pull bolts outa my engine bay, looking to jam something in the coolant hole. Wasn't working though, maybe it would if i had more room.. but alas... i admit defeat, just as a security guard is staring me down, assuming we are juNki's, meandering around the medical center i mentioned, looking for crank, jack, Whazzam, or woteva the friendly pale crackas are into up there.

Taxi driver was interesting, alert looking chap, seemed intelligent. Only after 20mins of my mates and I bringing up dodgey topics (trying to get on the dodgey taxi driver level... u know) he informs us.. he only works on weekends.. .as hes at uni.. studying Police works... great... the awkward silence was real, REAL i tells you, kids dieing in Africa real.

I dont usually eat my feet, but it occurred when i though it a good time (near the end of taxi trip) to tell the taxi driver bout a story i heard that day, bout a guy who jumped from a moving taxi doing the "runner".. promptly knocked himself out cold. He awoke upside down inda middle 3 lanes...

So yah... thats it. Taxi dropped us off at friendly Maroubra (where i was born) bottle'o, hiked $100 worth of beer 2clicks back to house. Got stoopid drunk, played GT5 Demo on PS3, watched F1 all day and next, caught a BUSS(?) back to Canberra... was good though. Sat near a hot Asian gurl. Her gentle lady like snoring made me sleepy, we both awoke leaning shoulders on each other... which was like the closest thing iv had to s3x in like... a 6months! right on.

Hrrm, oh yah.. in case you want to know how i got the car back...

Looked up google maps, found a building close to my car, white pages online, located building number. called it, nice NZ lass picks up, she nicely informed me, that she could still see my car parked where i pushed it..(thank f_ck) even read off the rego number so i could give it to the tow guy...

.... I shan't have worried, after calling 6 places.. trading em off to each other.. 'Habib' (real names have been substituted to protect the innocent) agreed only TOO enthusiastically to break into a car at a specific location, drag it on a truck and drop it off where ever i want.. all for cash.. MAN!!

other option was to drive to Syd last night so I called mates and factored in renting utes, trailers, and current diesel prices... nup, f_ck that, im old, bad back, have I things fap fap shlock shlock about... i cant be using my time to pick up cars... so I call Habib back and lock it in.

4 hours later i get a call! I was very impressed with his work. I even told him, "hell, if I need to kidnap any other of my EX GF's cars.. ill know who to call" teheeh, he took that well.. too well

So thats my story, some dispute it but they werent there. Ill drag them any day, a wins a win, 10 seconds or less, im free and wot not.

about 95% of those words were unnecessary haha, hilarious story though

Snot the destination, but the journey, thats important friend

Acttually this was an email to a mate, which kinda got some laughs.. so stuck it on here... hence its rushed and raw finish. It is a venting thread after all.

I'm Ticked Off...what Gets You Wound Up?

people that can't drive past an accident on the other side of the road/freeway without rubber-necking creating a traffic jam for no bollocksing reason!!!#$%!@&6%

people that can't pull out onto a main road unless the kerbside lane and the one next to it are clear

people that can't merge at speed

people that accelerate away from the lights slower than loaded b-double trucks

arrogant flamin mongrels that park in loading zones illegally (just go and die pls)

people that don't keep to the left or right when making turns

people that can't seem to grasp the meaning of "DO NOT CUE THROUGH INTERSECTION/ROUNDABOUT"

pedestrians that want to cross the road well after the main group, on the red signal, causing the left turn arrow to change red after only 2 or 3 cars have made it through

people that can't 'keep left unless overtaking'

people that drive along at 80km/h in a 100 zone, then immediately speed up when the overtaking lane appears- why wasn't doing the speed limit good enough for the last 5km?

people that slow down to about 30km/h pulling into long turning lanes, as if they won't have time to stop before the lights or something? merge then brake, idiots

people that move forward into the massive gap they left between them and the car in front at the lights, before the light has actually changed to green

people that pull into your safety gap in moving traffic, only to move back into the other lane seconds later

people that drive at 40km/h on the Cahill Expressway side of the harbour bridge during peak times, for no other reason i can see than that the lane seems smaller than a usual lane due to being kerbed on both sides

trucks,

buses,

taxis.....don't even get me started on taxis

Trying to fill up today and finding:

Woden BP being out of stock of 98 premium

Braddon BP being out of stock of 98 premium, both being at 149.9

Jamison BP being out of stock of 98 Premium, but it was a bargain at 168.9 if I could of bought it anyway :D

Bought Mobil 98 at Braddon, according to him all BP's are out of premium today.

What really gets me? Knowing it'll probably be in stock tomorrow, at 156.9 or 159.9 at each servo :P

damn whinger Shaun! dont come in the ACT section just to bitch & moan thanks!

CeJay, add Kingston BP out of 98 as well... also most Shells being out of V-power... that was my experience yesterday...

I ended up getting Vortex98, seems to be the only 98 around!

Thought I'd fire this thread up again.

Freaking cold weather that is only good for boost...IF you have a car running that you can boost! Jesus H. Christ I miss my GT-R...

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
