OK! heres a Question who the nissan fast can idendify the interior trim colour and type? can you tell me how you did it? is says C

~~ hc33 003262 ~~

I hate the comon poo coloured laurels but there is a black/grey interior i would kill for. FAST says it has a build date of 89 01 so it would be eligable for import just missing the 88 model cut yes? i think its 89 jan and older that makes it. sorry but im learnin haha

m guessing he mean BNR32 not HNR

heres the result

<<<<< P.S. how do i see the 'attached thumbnails' as I can't see anyting here.

Thanks for having a look guys, just went and double checked and go the other number if that helps.

HNR32-007303

with : KRNR32RGFSLMEB

the car is a gts4 not a gtr if that helps

thanks

Stephen

should just be a small thunbnail you can click on.

found the HNR number after i entered the model code then entering the 2nd part of the HNR code...bit strange...anyway here you go

thanks for doing that, only one prob for me at the moment is that I can't see any thumbnails. is there a setting in IE that stops me from seeing thumbnails

..

again , any help appreciated.

thanks

Stephen

I have a S3 GTR apparently could be a 98...go figure. Having alot of trouble getting parts for the gearbox as it is different to all other GTR's for some reason. The car has factory leather also...weird. I also have a 56K issue. Could someone help me Pls. =)

here are all the details I could find

E-BCNR33

Chassis BCNR33-043389

Model GGJPRWFR33ZZA-EQ-C (changed)

FS5R30A (Trans type?)

RC41 (paint?)

thanks

matt

That's not a valid chassis number as far as FAST is concerned.  Double check it.  Probably explains why Nissan can't identify the correct parts.

I double checked and it definately has BCNR33-043389 on the blue plate and fire wall. Maybe checking a few numbers out might give me an idea... ie 043387,043390, etc.

According to others my gearbox is the same as a R32 GTR ? not sure how that works.

Which part refers to the date of manufacture?

FAST says that GTR #043388 was manufactured in April 1998, while 043390 was an Autech GTR also manufactured in April '98. Only Nissan knows why your car VIN is invalid, but you might be able to get away with buying parts using the 043388 number since at least theoretically yours should use the same production parts.

Yours should have a late series pull clutch type GTR gearbox, but I suppose it's possible an R32 GTR gearbox was fitted as a replacement at some time.

The date of manufacture is determined from the complete VIN.

Ok, cool. Sounds like it could well be a 98...crazy, can't say I've ever heard of a Series 3.5. Makes sense tho with the weird stuff it has on it, like big sump oil cooler, leather and nismo dials.

What is an AUTECH ?

I checked as my clutch and box is out and the clutch is a pull type. I'm going to the gearbox specialist tomorrow to check if some parts i orderd for a 12/97 and newer fit.

    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
