All's I'm saying is i'm not putting a f**k ugly flat hatch on it, it will look gay. I want it to still look like a 180. I just want it to be fast, which will involve a lot of aero components like Wings, canards, splitters and diffusers. It will also need a lot of power to be competitive. It ain't gonna grip like a F1 nor be as fast as my Drag Car but I still want to go fast.... maybe as fast as a V8 Supercar at least :woot: .

anyone looking at doing a brake upgrade for there car, im getting rid of my brembos of the 33 vspec. fronts are 324mm rear 300mm. t4 slotted rotors and remsa pads.. 500ks old if that. 1000 tops. let me know if your interested, i want to put the new ones on and get rid of them in one go.

when would these be available? i'll be down that way mid feb

i was looking at towards end of jan or there abouts. if your keen on picking em up then i can sort it all out so they off and ready for you. car will prob only do 200km per month. so will be bout 1500ks of light driving on rotors and pads.

nice... ive gone to singe now... bit of a delay so i dont get in trouble as often haha.. be a good upgrade for the gtst.

nah mate, the GTST is dead. Hit some guy that ran a red light. Parted it out and got insurance so I got some good coin back.

I want actually going to buy an R34, then decided on a R33 or R32 so I could spend the money I saved on house renovations.

I have a pair of HKS2530s here lol (Thanks Ben)

I wanted a dark grey, non vspec just so it was a bit cheaper.

Agreed value with Shannon's insurance was a win. Then bought the wreck back for $2k and sold it in parts for well over $10k.

So, I'm not complaining haha. Been slack though. Been driving a 1995 corolla around for the last 18 months. Haven't settled on what I am going to buy yet

lol... saving money though and not throwing it into the bottomless pit.. i wanted a vspec or nur for the aero kits so i didnt have to add much to it asthetically, prob cheaper your way though lol.

Changed my gearbox oil today to some Redline. I thought the oil that was in my car would be extremely low due to the gearbox noise and crunching but it turns out i still had 2.5L of oil left.

Haven't got to drive the car faster than 2nd gear yet since i'm still at work so hopefully it solves my 5th gear crunch and i don't have to buy a new gearbox!

Fark yeah my Nascar Brembo Brakes tunred up in the mail today.....sucks I'm at work, will be the best 15th Bday present ever.

Fixed

You have far to many Birthdays.......

I'm getting a bit keen for a new car. I said I would wait till this year so I've kept the promise I made myself, but think I should wait till I have my engine up and running in case it decides to self destruct 4 days after it starts

    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
