$75.00 gets you entry, a momento pack, and entry to the track, and entry to the concourse. It does not let you compete at the track, or attend the trivia night. It will also cost your partner, or additional people extra money to attend the "Welcome barbeque" and the Farewell Barbeque, where your entry fee of $75.00 covers these two items as well. Oh Presentation dinner is $65.00 per head, and no kids allowed. Oh no kids allowed to anything basically.

I feel the need to respond to this post......

"Oh no kids allowed to anything basically." is a little shallow and to be honest.... far fetched...

Just so everyone has the right information.

The basic package as Cazz mentioned, gets you to the welcome bbq, the farewell breakfast, and the concourse entry. It also gives you some merchandise and the ususal show bag.

If you want to come and watch the cars at the track, not only are you most welcome, but it will cost you zip.......... as if you are going to be charged you to do that...!!

Now.. the kids bit.

Fri night - Welcome bbq = kids welcome

Sat = Sprint - kids welcome but must be supervised (as in ALL sprint events). Should the kids/partners not be interested, they can go on the country drive.

Sat night = Trivia night. Aimed for EVERYONE = kids welcome.

Sun = Concourse. Anyone is welcome... ohh... and should partners/kids not be bored, we have arranged a shuttle bus which do a loop around the island stopping at several tourist attractions. It will generally run on the hour, so if you get off at say 11:15, then at quarter past each hour (allowing for traffic) it will swing past where you can jump on and get off where ever you like.

Sun Dinner = The only reason kids (at this stage ) aren't allowed is simply due to room. We originally had the Conti booked - that is in receivership. The next available option is the golf club which simply cannot squeeze everyone in and yes it does cost more. If you feel that your kids should take priority over Nationals entrants, then perhaps it's a case of agree to dis-agree, as I thought the entrants should get the first option.

So, if the above does not cater for kids, then I don't really know what does.....................

If you have ANY questions, simply ask. We don't bite, and those who know me, know not only do I call a spade a dirty big shovel, but that I will give you an honest answer. I don't have anything to hide (except for the fact I hit a pole in my daily driver due to my own fault.... oh bugger.!) I don't care for office politics and will happily help anyone in any way I can.

Cheers and hope to see you there.........

Im in as of now, and competing! two weeks in a row. My car is going to hate me. i Just put it all back to standard, now it all has to go back on... its a hard life... poor mate busted his gearbox in his datto, and he needed to fill his spot or its money down the drain.

1;56, here we come.

Do we know of anyone else here thats competing???

Hey All,

Not long now, cant wait.

I was going to be competeing in the sprints but decided not to as Im already paying a nice little bundle in accomodation and enrty/dinner fees and am currently out of a job so have to try and save money at the moment.

Will be good to meet a few people from here, havent been on any of the cruises yet. Do know a few people already from the 31 club (cazz, syphon & wheezy ;))

Cheers,

Gagz

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
