Cool. Any tips to putting them on? I hope I don't stuff it up!

I found this off the kartattooz website :

You will need the following items:

* Window cleaner (i.e.: Windex) and lots of paper towels

* Kartattooz squeeqee, credit card or other stiff plastic card to use as a squeegee

* EITHER - a 1-qt. Spray bottle filled with water and 2 drops of dishwashing liquid OR - a bowl or pan with 1 qt. Of clean water, 2 drops of dishwashing liquid, and a CLEAN sponge or washcloth

* A sewing needle, safety pin, or very small pen knife (with 1" blade)

* For long slogans, I recommend a Level if you have one, to determine what is straight.

* Car in area where temperature is between 55 and 90 degrees.

STEP 1. Clean the surface where you are putting decals with the window cleaner and dry thoroughly.

STEP 2. Position the decal onto the surface and use masking tape to create a "hinge" along the TOP of the decal. Tape the decal into position using masking tape only on the top of the decal. If you have a very long (3 feet or more) decal to install, you will probably want to use several six inches pieces of masking tape along the top, from one side to the other. Flip the decal up, and starting at the upper left corner, VERY SLOWLY peel off the backing. (The backing is either paper or it is a clear film. The FRONT of the decal is covered with a masking tape film). As you peel off the backing, make sure that no pieces of decal lift off onto the backing - all pieces should stay on the masking tape film. If a piece starts to lift, then squeegee the backing side down hard to make the decal below adhere more firmly to the masking tape. When you have finished peeling off the backing, make sure that no pieces of paper backing are stuck to the adhesive side of your decal - if so, get it off, using the pin or knife tip to grab the edge carefully.

STEP 3. Either spray or use the washcloth/sponge to wet down the surface where the decal goes with the soapy water. Get it good and wet.

STEP 4. Slowly fold the decals onto the wet surface, using the hinge to maintain a good straight line. Do not rub until the entire decal is down, so that you can make minor position adjustments if necessary. When the decal is lying flatly against the surface, then begin to rub, using your hand first to flatten it nicely against the surface, then start with the squeegee (credit card edge).

STEP 5. Start to squeegee the decal from the middle outwards, over and over, then harder and harder. Squeegee in all directions, up , down and diagonally. Keep squeegeeing for several minutes, very firmly, getting all the water out. When done, use a paper towel to wipe up as much of the water as possible. WAIT AT LEAST 15 MINUTES. Then VERY SLOWLY begin pulling the masking off, starting at the upper left corner, draw diagonally down, and pull SLOWLY. If the decal starts to come up, lay it down and re-squeegee, and you may need to wait longer for things to dry (cold weather and humidity are factors.)

anyone got theirs yet? Mine not here yet....

Can't wait to see this in the sunlight now :D Thx again West... leave ya feedback shortly.

I'm GLAD you like it mate, enjoy.

Now go and pick up some chicks .

Oh how about turorial lol, i'm too nervous to do it myself.

I cut it to suit buddy. Few sections i'll see if i can get a close up.

West... i'll try to get a tute going on. Was going to take pictures during the application, but man i was really peed off and just forgot all about it. The first side had me going crazy trying to line it up... but the second side turned out a treat once i worked out how to best do it.

Okay.. i've got a bit of time.. so heres my tutorial. I'll try to add photos later :

Step 1 - Creating a guide for the line

So you can do this freehand, by eye, or you can get a piece of masking tape to create the top line, or you can tape a piece of string... whatever tickles your fancy. I found the string method didn't work well for me and always got in the way... the masking tape was much better.

Step 2 - Lubricate

Clean up the area using a chamois, making sure no dust gets onto the surface of the car.

Then use a spray bottle (like the ones hairdressers use), fill up to 4/5 with plain ordinary water, and add about 2-5 drops of dishwashing detergent.

Then spray this onto the surface of the car liberally!

Step 3 - Remove backing on the sticker

Remove the white backing and position roughly where you want on the car.

Now the tricky part... remove the clear on top. Not as easy as it sounds... but patience will get you there. If it moves don't worry, it should be flexible and movable whilst the car remains lubricated.. but as soon as it dries, it sets and you can't move it much at all.

Step 4 - Creating the joins

You may need to join two pieces together, this is just a matter of cutting at a 45degree angle with a pair of scissors and attaching it... not much harder than that.

Step 5 - Getting rid of bubbles

When the detergent/water solution semi dries... use your finger to smooth it out from the middle to the edges. Then when it gets a little more dry, use a credit card or hard plastic to smooth it out till you see very few bubbles. You won't get all of them no matter how you try (this might be because of postage caused it to shrink and crease or whatever). My advice is when it's fully dried (next day or so), go over these parts with your fingernail.

Step 6 - Opposite side of the car

Using a ruler, measure certain points on the side you just applied successfully. E.g. the lines running down each edge of the door... if it's e.g. 150mm on one side, mark it out with masking tape on the opposite side. So at least you've got a guide. Then repeat steps 1-5.

Just put mine on

Lol, i pretty much put the whole thing on by eye.

Was going to measure it all up and use tape, but i jsut couldn't be bothered, and it was getting too hot.

Turned out alright, a fair few creases and bubbles, we'll see how it comes out in a day or 2. All in all a good sticker kit, thanks heaps West.

Will get pics up later today

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
