well if we are turning to joss the boss now why not look a little further a field to the Baron. that is the Beer Baron. he can't drive a greasy stick up a dogs arse but he can hold more cans than kimi raikonen. and I reckon I'd be a bit hit in the driver interviews..... if only I could ever get to the podium and be in one.

or maybe bring back alex yoong. I saw he like a bit of the ol smash 'em up style of racing in A1.

I'd like to see the f1 like this:

webber and sato at either maclaren or ferrari. or maybe they could drive both and chose the best car on sunday?

put hamilton in a 2002 minardi.

put alonso in the renault as punishment for jumping ship on flava flav

put yoong in the other renault with orders of shoot to kill.

put raikonen in commentary along with murray walker (kick brundle and allen out the door, let them serve beers in the GP bar)

bring back MS and put him in a BMW. let ze cherman drive for ze cherman team.

bring back cry baby mika hakinen and let him have a honda

leave button and rubens in either honda or SA.

force ralf to continue driving the toymotor as punishment for going for the dollars not the glory.

put DC in the big mac when sato and webber aren't using them. otherwise he could rive with MS at BMW (now that would be a fun pair).

give all cars back full slicks and a choice of tyre maker so that we may one day see some passing. and heaven forbid some people loosing it.

no more TC

no freakin autostart

no more auto up or downshifting

let drivers smoke and drink and bang groupies in the hope that they may one day becoming interesting again.

tell bernie he is not allowed to make out with any supermodel girlfriends in public. it's just gross even watching the shrivlled old man even stand next to a 6 foot hottie.

same goes for flava flav. and while were on him, tell him to use anti-perspirant. and when he does get sweaty, nip into the trailer for a towelling off and a change of shirt. no one wants to see his sweat patches.

completely revise the point system. atm it encourages boring racing.

that's all for now.

haha - How SH!T is Alex Yoong? ! ! He couldn't even get by in a V8 Supercar, how in the FRIKK was He allowed into F1?? (And I kno, Money talks)

BEER BARON FOR FIA PREZ !

BEER BARON FOR FIA PREZ !

BEER BARON FOR FIA PREZ !

We gotta bring the wheeltrack back out 200mm to 2m - ALL REAR TYRE BABY ! ! !

(and use the same size front rims, but with low profile tyres, like in the late 70's) BooYAAH ! ! ! ! :)

Montoya and Frenzen at Williams... Button and Villenueve teamates at Honda again... Felipe and Rubens at Ferrari to make a very barstardised 'Italian' superteam! Montoya gets Champcar engine though...

M Schu and R Kubica sharing at BMW... Germany v Poland showdown!!

Yoong, Karthikeian, Mazzacane and 'Tora Tora' Takagi all have to share one 2-seater F1 car...

Hamilton in 2002 Minardi for sure, but with 1988 1000BHP Honda Engine.... With Webber and Irvine in 2002 Jags... Maybe Johnny Herbert for a comeback in the old 1999 Stewart Ford??

Even better, BRING BACK LATE BREAKING JEAN ALESI in the 2003 Jordan!

"LEARN THE 101 ON HOW TO BEGIN BREAKING 'AFTER' YES! 'AFTER' THE APEX AND STILL MANAGE TO KEEP ON TRACK!"

Edited by Marco-R34GTT

wider track? approved!

I've also decided we'll allow lower ride height again. sick of these stupid looking front wings.

definately allow johhny herbert to race in his 1999 stewart. i may consider a handicap start too. let him have a 5 second headstart on the rest of them.

yoong karthekian and mazzacane can all duke it out for a spot in two cars. before each race they will have to perform a series of tasks. and maybe we can have sms voting big brother style to see who get's the drive on the day. the loser has to collect debris from the track during the race, and work as pit crew on both cars.

montoya is definately allowed back as the cubby colombian likes a good tanty which can be lacking from F1 sometimes. instead of a champ car engine, I may even let him bring, and race in a champ car just to liven things up a bit. I don't know how I could have left monty out. I will need some good advisers to help me when I'm at the top. and none of them will be bernie bloody eccolstone or max freakin mosely you can be sure of that.

jean alesi can come back in the jordan as he has a facy name.

as for no more us GP, this would never have happend if I was in charge.

If you like a good tanty get danica and paul tracey in F1.

On another note - with Indy now gone is it just me that would secretly love the US GP to be an Oval somewhere. Maybe Daytona or Talledaga?

I'd love to see one oval race (and just 1 per season) just for the possibility in F1 where we see regular overtaking in somewhere other than the pits. It's the one siutaional also other than a wet GP where someone other than a dominant team for that season might get up for a win.

No US grand prix... awesome

Great move you money hungry cockroach

he'll be gone soon mate. I think hes getting senile or something..he is 80 after all.

that really sucks. No US GP..no french GP..

pretty soon we'll be reduced to watching half assed slot car tracks designed by Tilke that produce nothing but monotonous racing and piles of cash..

theres nothing more boring in racing than an oval....shits me to tears.

There's no US grand prix, there will be no Australian grand prix soon and it looks like there'll be no UK grand prix if they dont get their act together. 3 of the wealthiest most industrialised nations on the calander, nay the world, and they wont host Formula 1 rounds... how sad

Bernie is quite content to take these races to backwater third world nations who'll pay his rediculous ransoms, where nobody will turn up and the racing will continue to be a farce on yet another Tilke track

Great move, you utter fool

i like the idea of MS and DC at BMW.....and deinitely love the idea of webber in a mclaren, would really like to see how he goes in that.

Webber doesnt deserve a Mclaren drive...that bum doesnt deserve a good car...he should be in champ car and Will power should be in F1

Maybe the US and UK and Australia are the 3rd world countries when it comes to F1.......countries like these think they have a right to and F1 race where other countries know they have to pay....I for one couldnt give a sht if Australia/US/UK lose the F1....Silverstone is a joke of a track for amenities and Shanghai and Bahrian are awesome...F1 is a business and no longer a sport and Bernie will always go to the highest bidder. It makes me laugh how the punters get so passionate about F1 and the governing body dont give a sht as long as it makes money....much like our daily jobs

You call Bernie a fool????....well unless you are more successful then maybe it is not him who is the fool

Edited by gtr660hp

I am a firm believer that Bernie knows he's killing the sport and is just lookng to make as much cash out of this as is possible. And i can change it, ill just stop watching it... im sure millions of people will follow in the near future. Somethings are too big and too political to stop, much like it has become now. When enough people leave and no money is coming in, im positive there will be a different tune being played by the F1 bigwigs

And i call him a fool not because of the money he makes, or the amount of viagra he consumes, but for the trust he has broken in formula fans around the world who entrusted him and all the other members in the FIA to make the sport a better spectacle for us, as consumers, instead of turning it into his own personal money box that satisfies nobody but himself.

looks like maclaren may be in a bit of bother over this whole info stealing thing.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/motorsport/mcla...3833702245.html

should i say i told you so?

i have heard from some people that this will cost Mclaren dearly and that the penalties will include a loss of points, a huge fine and possible sanctions for the team in the future. I have also been told that Ron Dennis was aware of the files.

this can of worms is far from open, boys and girls.

If ferrari can prove that Mclaren have benefited technically from the drawings, shit is going to hit the fan (and the fans) in the WDC.

mark my words./

well most certainly if it is proven that mclaren knew about it, and benefitted from it then I would say they will be excluded from the WDC and the WCC, posibly even for the remainder of the season.

but I thought the whole point of this was that mike and nige were stealing stuff from their respective teams to take with them to honda?

    • @Murray_Calavera  If I were an expert I wouldn't be in here looking for assistance.  I am extremely computer literate, have above average understanding on how things should be working and how they should tie together.  If I need to go to a professional tuner so be it, but I'd much rather learn and do things myself even if it means looking for some guidance along the way and blowing up a few engines. @GTSBoy  I was hoping it would be as simple as a large vacuum leak somewhere but I'm unable to find anything, all lines seem to be well capped or going where they need to be, and when removed there is vacuum felt on the tube.  It would be odd for the Haltech built in MAP to be faulty, the GTT tune I imported had it enabled from the start, I incorrectly assumed it was reading a signal from the stock MAP, but that doesn't exist.  After running a vacuum hose to the ECU the signal doesn't change more than 0.2 in either direction.   I'll probably upload a video of my settings tomorrow, as it stands I'm able to daily drive, but getting stuttering when giving it gas from idle, so pulling away from lights is a slow process of revving it up and feathering the clutch until its moving, then it will accelerate fine.  It sounds like I need to get to the bottom of the manifold pressure issue, but the ignition timing section is most intimidating to me and will probably let a pro do that part.  Tomorrow I'll try a different vacuum line to T off of, with any luck I selected one that was already bypassed during the DBW swap. @feartherb26  I do have +T in the works but wanted to wait until Spring to start with that swap since this is my good winter AWD vehicle.  When removing the butterfly, did it leave a bunch of holes in the manifold that you needed to plug?  I thought about removing it but assumed it would be a mess.   I notice no difference when capping the vacuum line to it or letting it do its thing.  This whole thing has convinced me to just get a forward facing manifold when the time comes though.
    • Update: tested my spark plugs that are supposed to be 5ohms with a 10% deviation and one gave me a 0 ohms reading and the rest were 3.9ohm<, so one bad and the others on their way out.
    • 9" wheels are a little too wide for a RWD 32. They can fit. People have put R33 GTR wheels on 32s for years and years. But they are a very tight squeeze. This has been known for about 30 years. As I said - there is no difference between a 17 and an 18 in terms of what will fit. The rolling diameter needs to stay about the same as stock - not very much larger. If you increase that, you will start to have problems. If you increae rolling diamater at the same time as yo increase width, you will have problems earlier. as 9" wheels are pushing the boundaries already, you would need to be careful with tyre choice. I would put 8.5s on the front of mine, but would expect problems with 9s.
    • post up screen shots of your injector tables
    • Diagnostic flow for a code 21 says check signal at the ECU pins, on a voltmeter of some kind it should read 0.1V at idle, 0.12V cranking, 0.15-0.25V at 2000 rpm. Check each coil such that +1, -3 is infinite or very high resistance, -3, +2 should do the same. (-1, +3), (+3, -2), (+1, -2), and (-1, +2) should all be somewhere between 0 ohms and high resistance. If you trace the path from the coil pin all the way back to the ECU in the diagram the resistance you measure at the coil vs connected to the harness should be pretty much the same.
