I think he means if the 33's were that good then they wouldnt have stopped making them...

So just because they dont make the Gtir still doesnt mean its not a good car...

funny how the people comparing gti-r's to gtr's don't even own GTR's.

Every single GTR owner i have ever met has loved the GTI-R pulsar, 'a true baby godzilla'.

To compare them is silly - but to recognise the pulsar as a 'baby GTR' is a title gti-r owners are hell proud of ;)

ps. I'm a regular around Appin, i was asked for a run against a Black GTS-T with front mount, 14psi, exhaust and blow off valve one night.

Standing start - killed it - 5 car lengths easily

rolling start - i thought i was going to lose - but no - 2 car lengths, i thought they were quicker than that.

If any pulsar owners want to join us - then feel free, we hunt in packs of 4 usually ;)

and whats the difference between a r33 and r34 gts-t?? different bodywork and other bits and pieces! The gti-r is a good car but it has seased production.

Only this is there aint many around here in mexico these days!

You are now invited to Sydney to run me in my GTiR.

Obviously my comment was stupid - I copied you. Smoothline cleared it up... and thanks for the laugh guys ;)

Wow,

I'd just like to say, I am a Pulsar GTiR owner.

And to answer a couple of comments......

The Understeer problems can be fixed. - Easily But yes they exist.

And wow, some of you guys are very one eyed. GTR I think you should wake up buddy.

I know Allan_GTiR and watched him bliz that GTST that night.

I have recently run an R32GTR rolling start who was running 14psi recently and to find the chap could only just beat me (coupla lenthgs) to 180. Yes we had a few runs.

In the past I have actually beaten GTRs too. But I aint bragging.

I have yet to lose to a GTST, rolling run, top speed whatever.

Mate if you drive a GTST its a GTST not a bloody GTR.

I have Driven a few GTR 's in the UK, R33's & R32's. And yes I love them. Infact I gave some real serious thought to buying an R33 GTR instead of my current (2nd) GTiR. I may get one one day. Just enjoying the fun, buzz box like giant kiler performance of the little pulsar.

Most GTiR owners do look up to the GTR as it is big brother.

And we appreciate your Car.

But what REALLY annoys me is GTST owners that blab it off and do the whole I'm better than you thing thinking they own a Skyline and their car is the best thing on the road. Wake up.

I respect your GTST, Respect my car. It'll eat you.

Hopefuly I havent come accross like too much of a prick, cause I dont want to create any problems. But I appreciate 90% of you fellas on here agree the GTiR is a good little car. You dont have to like em, thats an opinion. But to appreciate.

Thanks For reading my bloody 20 million character long post :D)

wrxkilla: You're spot on about soooo many skyline owners.....but most of the guys on here aren't as bad as habib & co. cruising up & down George St on Saturday night.

There's so many wankers out there these days. I got rid of my 'line because they're just everywhere.

I can't wait for all my extra go-fast bits get installed on my GTi-R so as I can have a go against a GTR & see who comes off 2nd best.....

No worries, bring it to Oran Park on the 16th:D Lets see if a GTS-T is any good :D

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
