So I'm not allowed to wash my car at home, but flemington race course is allowed to use 1 million litres of DRINKING WATER per DAY....

GAGF Victoria. I'm washing my car in the driveway

lol who doesn't. I have a cop living on my street and i see him hosing his driveway.

yeh but they'll give you some stupid excuse about how flemington racecourse will save the world and thus needs the water, and so won't let you off when you contest the fine when some prick neighbour dobs you in!!

Cant even use a bucket to clean the entire car atm.. only spot cleaning windows etc.. so the local 'Laserwash' owns my wallet

Council's police mis use of water...they have patrols etc to catch people....don't think cops are too concerned with it...

Point is the Government love to make residents feel guilty for spending 5 minutes in the shower (how dare they) when Flemington is pumping out 1million litres a day to keep the track and gardens looking pretty.

Stage 4 restrictions on the way too....can't have those flowers at flemington dying.

P.S - Stage 4 places restrictions on commercial car washes too

Personally I believe that no matter what Government was in charge it'd be the same scenario.....the opposition always opposes pretty much everything the Government says/proposes...but nothing seems to change if that opposition becomes the Government.

Only way to get things done is to incite riots

A very true statement the world over

u drink ur own piss is wat it means

recycle recycle recycle

hey the new aus pool at rod laver is bloody joke and i mean it.

it temp

msac is a good place for the swimming and they up the capacity for the com games so why not use that in sted braksy oh wait i know i wona speend all the moeny and water weve got in vic

Flemington racecourse is basically gambling. With high tax on gambling, the government wont touch crown casion, flem racecourse etc, as they bring in a load of revenue for the government.

Restriction of water for them will be less revenue to the government.

its all about teh money!!11

stage 4 restrictions?! Exactly what will that mean? There's not much left to restrict!

Can only flush toilet once a day?!

RESIDENTIAL and COMMERCIAL GARDENS and LAWNS

S All outside watering is BANNED. No watering at any time, by any means.

PUBLIC GARDENS and LAWNS

S All outside watering is BANNED. No watering at any time, by any means.

SPORTING GROUNDS

S All outside watering is BANNED. No watering at any time, by any means.

PAVING, CONCRETE & OTHER HARD SURFACES

S Hosing banned except for construction purposes or in emergency; or for health or safety

hazard.

VEHICLES

S A vehicle may only be washed for health and safety reasons, in which case the

windows and lights must be washed and rinsed by means of a bucket, filled directly

from the tap (not by hose). Commercial car washes which use water from a source

other than your local water business reticulated water system can be used.

RESIDENTIAL OR COMMERCIAL POOLS AND SPAS

S All previous exemptions are void. Cannot be filled, added to or replaced without prior

written approval.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

If it is considered by a water business that Stage 4 restrictions are insufficient to reduce

consumption to a level adequate to meet future demands at that level of restriction, water

businesses may declare emergency measures to further restrict water consumption in the

specified area. Such measures may involve restricting the volume of water available to

consumers or restricting the use of water in industries which are not affected by Stage 4

restrictions. Emergency measures would not be declared without the written approval of

the State Minister or Ministers responsible for water resource management.

wtf? Srew flemington. Are we on stage 3 or 4 at the moment?

Stage 3. Stage 4 is on the way it seems.

Yep GAGF, My Bonsai need water too you pr|cks!

BONSAII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep GAGF, My Bonsai need water too you pr|cks!

LOL

Government  sonsofbitches... millions of litres of water goes to waste f*kn all the time..

at my work apparently a water main burst or some c**t forgot the tap on LOL

anyways the whole lower level of the car park was under water along with the building mangers wife's car that was left there overnight for safe keeping LOL..

this put a 30 story building out with like 20 companies working in the building for like 2 weeks cos they were pumping the water out it shorted the mains out and f*kd everything.... everyone sued everyone lol

the assholes were pumping water out into the middle of the st for like a full day or so...

nearly a million ltrs of water turned to shit that day, oh and the 2 burst water mains in my st that they just cant seem to fix :ninja: ... nice one labour!!

but its all good to compensate they'll set up more defect road blocks and give more people canaries...

That would really suck if you couldnt even use servo car washes. Need to find some that recycle the water. Surely some would invest in it. The amount of customers they would get if they were the only car wash in 50k's would be huge ie every car enthusiast.

How are we meant to keep our cars looking mint then =(

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
