im just starting out my own workshop, and i really don't need this from other business's this is the reason i open my own shop, so that this wouldn't happen to others.

after posting th thread, i was contacted by alex, asking me to with draw the post!

Yeah the little pissant has done that many times before aswell.

Its just people keep falling for it... not sure why though :P

If the stuff doesnt arrive, just call the police. Wont be the first time.

one thing ive learnt in my short time on this earth is that those pricks that rip ppl off continously will be caught up with eventually, u can only rip so many ppl off before one of them finds you and flogs the fck out of you. i know this doesnt help you get your money back and it makes it hard to trust good honest ppl dealing online bcuz of scum sht like this. sorry to hear about it mate and i hope somehow it turns out ok

What i dont understand is why he still uses the same name..I cant stress enuf how shitted i am at scammers. You sons of bitches look over your shoulders when im arround..

Known Nickname(s): GDTNO, NVMER33, ITPROSEARCH,MNImports

Names Used: Quoc V Do "Peter", "Andrew" "Mark Nguyen" "Mark"

I was ripped off by his poof but was ammongst the lucky ones to get my money back. And when his father heard about the goings on of his sons scams he thought it was the right thing to do in the situation.Quock's father also owns an imports/spare parts place, which was how quock could get access to so many pictures of parts,i could see why he diddnt need such a disgracefull following.

Good luck with getting everything resolved.I tell you they will give you the run arround as to the whereabouts of the parts you are waiting for,to no end.

They get a high from being in the thick of things. And as people on here have found out they repeat offend even after they have been caught out.

just for the record, i am in no way trying to rubbish or give alex or what ever he calls him self a bad name.

im simply trying to get some help/ information from other members who have delt with him, after i had no contact from him after i payed for the turbos i ordered.

i understand he is trying to run a business, but to be sucessful you need to communicate with your customers and keep them informed with there item/ parts progress. (which he has not done until i posted on the forums)

i also am running my own business, and i know how importand it is to keep your name clean and have a good reputation.

i myself would not like to be in the situation alex is in, but then again i dont have the reputation that other members on the sau and nissan silvia speak of about him.

    • Yep, there's a very minor drift left that happens a few seconds after letting go of the steering wheel, but not enough to bother me. Enjoying the car still!
    • Got you mate. Check your email!
    • I see you've never had to push start your own car... You could save some weight right now...
    • Sounds good.  I don't 100% understand what your getting at here. When you say, "I keep seeing YouTube videos where people have new paint and primer land on the old clearcoat that isn't even dulled down" do you mean this - there is a panel with factory paint, without any prep work, they paint the entire panel with primer, then colour then clear?  If that's what you mean, sure it will "stick" for a year, 2 years, maybe 3 years? Who knows. But at some stage it will flake off and when it does it's going to come off in huge chunks and look horrific.  Of course read your technical data sheet for your paint, but generally speaking, you can apply primer to a scuffed/prepped clear coat. Generally speaking, I wouldn't do this. I would scuff/prep the clear and then lay colour then clear. Adding the primer to these steps just adds cost and time. It will stick to the clear coat provided it has been appropriately scuffed/prepped first.  When you say, "but the new paint is landing on the old clearcoat" I am imagining someone not masking up the car and just letting overspray go wherever it wants. Surely this isn't what you mean?  So I'll assume the following scenario - there is a small scratch. The person manages to somehow fill the scratch and now has a perfectly flat surface. They then spray colour and clear over this small masked off section of the car. Is this what you mean? If this is the case, yes the new paint will eventually flake off in X number of years time.  The easy solution is to scuff/prep all of the paint that hasn't been masked off in the repair area then lay the paint.  So you want to prep the surface, lay primer, then lay filler, then lay primer, then colour, then clear?  Life seems so much simpler if you prep, fill, primer, colour then clear.  There are very few reasons to go to bare metal. Chasing rust is a good example of why you'd go to bare metal.  A simple dent, there is no way in hell I'm going to bare metal for that repair. I've got enough on my plate without creating extra work for myself lol.
