was a great day had a blast last nite i think thanks to everyone

Great weekend. Hats off to the kind folk giving their time so that us hacks can thrash our cars.

Big thanks to my mate Chris for getting me home this morning, was not really feeling up to driving, but Tony has hooked me up with some Bundy and feeling good now :)

Like always the track stuff was good fun...shame i had to pike early because i was spent. Good to hear Doughboy carried the torch and got you all bent. Cant believe he bought close to 120 shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you Vic fruitcakes took my credit cards but left him to continue to doing what good Welshman do...buy copious amounts of piss!!!!!!!

A huge thanks to everyone who helped organise and run the day, I think one run in the afternoon is good but preferred having the practice runs in the morning for both skidpan events.

It was nice to have a more leisurely lunch break too and from what I saw, the day was probably the most efficiently run to date.

Unlucky to Dezz and Justin, hopefully doesnt cost too much to repair for both of you and also a shame they happened so early on in the day.

Last night was awesome as usual and thanks to Taco Baz and the ladies for putting up with us again. Lot of laughs and good times so thanks to everyone that contributed.

:)

Thanks for the shots Brisby!

LOL...your thanking the wrong bloke. The guy to thank is Doughboy. You all fell for the story that i was buying. I was working full time on just standing up straight, and not getting punched by Mav for perhaps giving him a little too much shit :( (But he deserves it, i will think of a reason later)

Shame about Scotsmans car dropping all that oil. You have to expecxt that being an RB26, fancy dropping all that oil still to be slower then an RB20 :)

LOL then thanks goes to Doughboy for all the good times...

HUGE thanks to Snowy and Scotsman for their tireless efforts once again! Also to everyone who helped out with timing, cooking, picking up cones etc...this was the most efficient running of a DECA I've been too...SMOOTH

I think my little blue WRX doesnt like me anymore...I gave it hell over and over again all the while trying to get it as far sideways as possible

The skidpan events and more specifically the battles were soooooo much fun and I can't wait to do it all again this weekend

Leewah had it right when he said "Even Stevie Wonder could drive an Evo fast"

VIC FTW

Ray and I lost our DECA virginity yesterday....And boy was it a blast!. I spent the whole day shouting directions at Ray while he was frantically trying to avoid hitting the hats and keep the car straight too.

Justine, thanks for the ride in your car on that last run. That was an impressive display of drifting.

A big thanks must go out to all the guys and gals who organised the day. It was great! I can't wait to get out there in August in the GTR.

Also a big thanks goes to Doughboy for being the only guy who waited for me at the end of the night, while I was "preoccupied" :) at that reputable establishment we frequented at the end of the evening.

Scottsman, I do apologise for keeping you out so late, hopefully you didn't get into too much trouble from the boss.

Ray, You're a big girl! (here I thought we were drinking buddies)

Bec, thanks for shouting for some of our late night entertaiment, even if it was of poor quality.

Great fun as always - and expertly run.

Top notch work from Team BBQ and the officials - you are all rad.

Will certainly not be my best result as far as times go - taking out the whole garage really helps your cone-kill count - but I think was the most enjoyable. Sorry to Foo for the over-AYC'd spin out the back (we came pretty close to that pylon) and a big thanks too Cougar for reminding me how much fun GT-Rs are to drive. Next time - Snowy's car!

And whilst Snows and I missed out on the usual dinner-based hilarity - we assure you there were chuckles enough at KFC on the way out of town. 7-year old staff FTW!

this was definately the smoothest run DECA yet... big thanks to everyone! I think the hard work in planning and running these has payed off, I doubt there would be many better run events of this kind... and all without being overly strict or taking the fun out of the day! (and being relatively cheap too)

he Paul that 3rd pic looks a little blurry mate, geez I wonder why lol

What an awesome DAY!!!! Id have to say The MOST fun i have ever had at a DECA!!!!

Huge thank you to all that organized and ran the event it was run extremely smoothly through the day and cheers for that :(

Bris no worries mate u just keep on thinking of some stupid reason for hanging shit :)

Shep Strippers are just wrong!!! But funny as!!!!

Thanx to Pete for driving me home today i really wasnt up to driving home.. And hope all was alright Chris thanx Heaps for the burn I WANT A GTR!!!

Team NSW you went hard but man down at round 1 is a concern :( Steve mate you are never going to live that down!!!!!

    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
    • Final update!!! Got the front bar fitted and sprayed and all sorted now. My cutouts worked great and the indicators aren’t just falling off. 😂
    • Is this a brand new LSD? if so, have you followed any break/bed in procedure for it? Usually involves heaps of figure 8 patterns, a fluid flush.
