We'll all get in. Saturday will be half empty (it always is) and they have a big field on the Sunday (120 usually - remember they send out 24 cars on the track at once with PIARC).

Over the 2 days you'll get plenty of clean laps but there will also be a few laps of door to door fun to be had as well with fields like this. Especially since PIARC don't group cars according to lap times so you can get some big differences in speeds (but we can all put our names down in the same group so it is no big deal).

And good luck getting Benno to PI even though it is a Sunday and so he has no excuse. Maybe if we all say his muscles are under developed (or at least the important ones are) we might be able to coax him into it. But I'm not saying it cause I still need him to look after my car

I'm sure the car could do it. The problem is all you northern franginpani loving poofs are so used to driving around on your dinky little racetracks with tops speeds of 87km/hr that you aren't going to know what to do when you run out of revs in 3rd.

But I'll help you out Pete. Just remember the advise you gave me at Wakefield and use it at PI. "Keep it flat through turn 1 and you'll be right. If you lift off you are a poof."

LOL...you havent seen the footage of Fatz at "The Ring" ? I think most corners were flat !

That, combined with my understandign of how much he loves his piss, especially when its free. Well he wont let a little thing like lack of willing car stop him from being showered with free beer for his display of lunacy. Not like Victorians, who like being showered in other things golden...farkin twisted units!

lol :(

I remember that advice myself, among many other interesting points

So, how fast through turn one, with and without 2/4wd/ aero aids? Seriously, but I doubt anyone goes more than 200, the rest is piss and wind

Aero aids? Farkin Geezus...what? Fast enough that the id blow through the wall on the infield as easily as my troopers punch through a prophylactic

BTW - You're all a bunch of girls.

Especially you Bris!

Hope you have a healthy back! Because your going to be doing plenty of bending over picking up your teeth after this girl knocks them out :(

Depends how big your balls are...

4wd doesn't help you get around the corner any faster, it just helps you get out of the corner faster... the rest is in grip and suspension. On street tyres you may do 170-180 entry, on R comps, probably 190-200+ - like i said, how big are your nuts?

Im bringing the trolley jack and stands. So that means GTR drivers should bring armed security. Turn your backs for a second and your cars will lose the front driveshafts and an AFM will probably be unplugged as well.

Or my old favourite. When you have parked your buckets after the first session i will poor some oil under your cars so you all shit yourselves and park it for the day. This day shall be mine i tell you...MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY!!! who's idea was that!! :)

This thread has to be one of the most entertaining one on the forums!!!!

I'll definetly be there for this, but probably only the Sunday, don't need the Saturday practice... :)

Go Jack and this is going to be the biggest track day in Australia ever for GTR's and others. How many sleeps left???

I can't wait. Hey Jack I will follow you to learn this track which I have been playing over in my mind since I was there in Easter. I will then give it the button on the straight with the boost turned right up this time. I reckon with good condition and the bigger rear wheels and suspension geometry mods and more I will be 45's or better.

I've heard you hit like a girl anyways... My teeth will be fine! ;)

Hope you have a healthy back! Because your going to be doing plenty of bending over picking up your teeth after this girl knocks them out :domokun:

John - we'll see if we can get Frank and Kennedy down who have both run in the 43's before (both R33 GT-R's). But I'm also going to be gunning for 45's.

Also mate - we're coming up to Wakefield and EC on November 8th and 9th respectively.

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
