It's been a very busy world these last 3-months.

I pop in here most days, but there's not really that much going on relevant to me anymore, so I don't tend to post very often. Plus it's generally pretty boring :(

So...

Since March I've had the opportunity to tootle around in some amazing cars, whether beloning to P1, customers or just people who seem to think nothing of throwing me the keys and telling me to go for a spin. From this - I certainly have a few favourites... but would I buy any of them if I could?

And the answer is yes, yes I would.

So let's ask the question.

You have a 3-car garage. These are the only cars you would have - and so you would have to live with them every day.

What would they be?

* RULES - need to be available in Australia, so Veyrons are out. Need to be driven daily so LHD and race cars are out.

Here's a picture of a 3-car Garage to help you out:

BTW - for me...

1. Porsche 997 GT3

2. Audi RS4 Avant

3. P1 membership (I'm serious - I could never live with a Ferrari or Lambo, this would let me park something nice and special when I would be able to use it). Or a monster-truck Lada - it's a close call.

Yes, the GT3 - track spec (RS) is something ive dreamed about and heard/read a lot about over the years.

And a good porka looks HOT. And would be given a flogging being the track spec.

Second... that would be an Aston. For a daily :D

And 3rd, a Dodge Viper. Always loved them

I dunno if they are LHD when they get here, but ive seen them on the road before a number of times, so they must be legal if people are driving them with rego plates and stickers etc. That would be the weekender.

Well for me.........

1. New BMW M3 V8 version (even an E46 M3 CSL would be sweet)

2. R34 GT-R V-Spec Nur in Millenium Jade

3. Porsche GT3 RS in orange as the weekender

And if you include near future releases, well the new GT-R V6TT would have to slot in there somewhere :)

oh i like this thread!

1) Lotus exige S (the supercharged version)

2) r34 GTR Nur :)

3) Ferrari F430 spyder

if it was only 3 cars for fun/weekend those woudl be it....

Edit: no scratch that, id mix em up for work/weekend/fun usage! :)

yeah you can drive em lhd for some reason...but you can get places like sports & luxury cars to convert it to right hand drive

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
